Roller hockey is all about the flowing, stickhandling, and teamwork vs ice hockey which is about force, conditioning, and dump and chase strategies.To play roller you have to have a better hockey sense of where your teammates are and you have to think about what is going to happen next. @marchukhockey you obviously have no idea what a MLRH hockey game looks like and its a different type of sport completely its more about teamwork and flowing and stick handling than brute force and trying to get the puck into the zone with a dump and chase type strategy. thats why there is no offsides because it flows and they move around in difficult formations and it is also harder to skate on and deifinitely harder to play goalie on.

@kjo14 and to add to thetyperighter one of the players on LA Pama Cyclones was invited to play AHL and so was my friend( I live in Northern California) my old goalie coach plays for an ECHL team and he plays this as well, this is a skills competition in which most players dont try very hard and it is also much more dificult to skate and play goalie as well in roller

Having played both ice and roller hockey for 8 and 13 years respectively, I've found that one's not better than the other, it just depends on what you want out of playing.  This video demonstrates why I personally like roller hockey better: It's about finesse and it's more intellectual. I find that ice hockey requires better conditioning and it's quite a bit tougher-- I also don't care for the headhunting attitude that's so prevalent at lower levels. It's simply about preference.

yeah, they're both really fun. in my opinion ice is probably a lot harder than roller, i've never played ice, because i group up on air force bases and we just play inline on the street, but inline is suuuuper fun. my assumption is that ice is better though.

Ice hockey requires much more physical strength and conditioning, constantly stopping and starting on ice is alot harder..with more equipment on. Roller hockey is more about making behind the back shots and crazy stuff where as ice hockey is more hard nosed.
