Awesome game, will never forget this piece of art, this game was pure quality for its time but now games are trash and just made for the money just like "Call of Duty Black Cocks"...a perfect example of a game made "just because"...what a shame

Hahaha I've been looking for this game for YEARS! My dad had the demo which only had this level on it, and I played it over and over as a kid.

I'll see if I can download it on abandonware.

Exactly.Anything biological and from the nature that is destroyed will deduct points from your score.

But unfortunately in a dogfight,a tree always ends up in your way.

man this was the shit back then, those tunnels always made me claustrophbic, especially with the rotating fans and all. I used to play this nonstop when i was 5, i never understood the story or point of the game, i just liked flying around and shooting things, and then sometimes i´d stumble onto the tunnel entrance by accident. Good times :)

Hahahaha. This game, damnit its great.played it when I was 5-6-7 years old and redownloaded it recently along with Duke Nukem, Redneck rampage and warcraft 1. There's still lots of old games I played in the past which I can't remember names but I have clear memories of them.

I'd like to get the chance to play them again someday :P

well the games I'm talking about are all on PC

I still got my old PS1 and my nintendo 64 so I can still play games like Perfect Dark and such.

but yeah...

another example could be the game MDK

you should try it, its really epic especially if you've played it in the past

I loved Hellbender, I added so many things like the ability to fully stop your ship and it had lights and new weapons, it was ace. I really miss that game =[ lol.

the tunnels freaked me out.. the warehouse of weapons and that smashing door. i had only the trial version and this was the only level i could play. the more you play the more you know how what the targets are and how to kill it off, like that big snake thing, dies faster when shot with vipers and rapid fury missiles and FFF! .. i liked blasting the metal igloo's though. oh oh oh, i'm so excited about a memory i had almost 11 years ago.

yeah you couldn't beat the bosses easily without Vipers.They go directly towards the weak point of the boss instead of you shooting there where it doesnt hurt him.

its funny how everyone has somewhat similar experiences playing this game, like the part about being scared. there's something about that eerie music, and i used to listen to shakira instead of this just so it wont be so scary..

Ahh, the memories. I played this game when I was 6...or at least the demo version of this level, with the snake boss. Then I got the game on my birthday, and I was hyped. But it was HARD D=

Aw crap...that sucks!!! I hope so too, this game was a classic...I'd love to see SOME sort of sequel to Hellbender, even if it just on some cheap service like Xbox Live Arcade.
