  • Your talking a bunch of shit

  • thanks nice vid

  • yeah n i thought that the snake died after he ate but it turns out that he just started seizing and died... but yeah we took him back n got one from petco. for half the price and she/he is healthy as can be.

  • never ever by shit from petsmart. i had a ball python for not even a week. i had 2 of em b4 n i know how to care for them. he was skinny as fuck. stay away from petsmart

  • @killaKush1000 I bought a ball python from petco 2 weeks ago and I asked them to take them out for me to hold myself to see if they were healthy. This store had nice fat ones for me to choose I'll post a video once it gets settled in my cage. Yeah they say not to go for the snakes with the wrinkles, least you returned it right?

  • Eew setup

  • idk man if you put aluminum foil across a bit more the half the lid and tape it down leave a square big enough for you heat lamp and use some thing like eco earth and spray it every day you want have humidity and get a good heat pad and lamp not zilla i got zoo med and fluckers you wont have heat problems and ventilation is good i been doing this for a month now with my glass 55 gall tank and have no issues

  • Oh lord duck tape. Lmfao

  • @celixo a if you cant duck it fuck it

  • also you say on here to start your ball python on rats as soon as posible well a ball python will not be able to eat a rat untill it is atleast a year old you want it to be eating about 2 / 3 inch mice untill it is atleast a year old and then on to rat weiners and just try it untill it takes it eventualy it will

  • on this video u are realy not providing a great help if anything you are putting peoples snakes in danger aspen bedding is realy toxic and can realy harm if not most likely kill your snake if it is fed in the enclosure with this type of bedding if it eats any aspen bedding it will die most definatly so atleast read the bag u dumb fuk b4 you say it is not toxic it says it rite on the bag

if any 1 wants any help then plz mail me thanks

  • maybe you should do some research dude. I watch these videos thinking maybe someone knows something i don't about ball pythons and maybe i can learn a bit. but this. was. terrible. I feel bad for that snake in such a horrible home. and an uninformed owner. you talk with your lisp and use big words but in all honesty you don't know the first thing about ball pythons.

  • @95 babychick your hot side is probably too hot if he spends all his time on the cool side

  • i have all the proper snake care for my ball python the breeder said he was a healthy but i kind f worried a little bc he ont go to his hide box he curls up and sleeps right next to the water bowl why is that?

  • how would u know it has respiratory infection?? i'm looking at getting one soon. thanks.

  • I woudlnt use newspaper as bedding

  • this guy is vary smart, if i ever get another ball python, i would wanna bye it from him.

  • @ThePoopoo98 this guy is dumb as fuk he dunt know shit

  • @2010ngage I disagree...

  • I got a baby ball python today n i need to know whats what lol. Basically i got two small hides, right and left and i placed the water bowl in the near middle but a bit close to the right hide. I also have the heat lamp in the middle as yours is and with two small towels. Also since the lamp is a above the water bowl where the warm hide is. Should i refill it ever so offen so it does not get warm? Any other tips?

  • @ScruffyTheLovable 1 you need your heat lamp at 1 side of the viv with the heat mat under were your heat light is also you want your water bowl on your cool side as this may cause problems if the water gets 2 hot it could hurt the snake or even put it off drinking the water

  • @ScruffyTheLovable well you dont want your heat lamp in the middle you want it on 1 side so then it has a hot and cool side so it can choose its self and i whould recommend a hide on each side and your heat mat under were your heat light is but to get the best out of your heat mat it is best to actually stick it to the side of the viv under were your heat lamp is any more questions just ask thanks

  • what thing you use to stick the background in the glass?

  • Thanks :) ! x

  • When feeding, do you recommend moving them to a separate container or can I feed my snake in their habitat?

  • @Gl3nQuagmire

I have done both and truthfully have not noticed a difference. If you have the means to feed them in a separate container go right ahead then. It can't hurt. But if you have a number of snakes to feed at once this soon becomes impractical. The only real reason to feed in a separate container would be to avoid the snake from ingesting the substrate while its swallowing the rodent. Even then it's really not that big of a deal unless you see them taking in alot of it.

  • Can't speak for Petco, but all Petsmarts nationwide receive every single ball python as well as the great majority of the other reptiles from Sand fire reptiles located in California.

  • Can yu tell me of someone that breeds ball pythons.?

  • My BP is about 1 and a half feetto 2 foot long....how many fuzzy mice should i feed him on feeding day?

  • @Rosehairking56 they don't eat daily.....they eat once, MAYBE twice, weekly.

  • w ww.cla ssyh erps.c om

  • dude your a fucking retard because like 1/30 of their snake or more are from the wild

  • dont dont dont waist ur time watchin dis video

  • Hey,can i put like a couple of ball python in a same tank ?

  • i agree with almost everything you say. but serously. you cant afford aspen? its $20 a year. really....newspaper... why???

  • frozen vs live?

  • @Nickpec10 frozen, live is totally wrong, and you don't need to, if you find that your snake will not eat mice, then try baby chicks, and when they get bigger, tie a chick to a mouse. i do, and it works great, makes them more passive, cheaper and humane.

  • I just bought my BP a few days ago from a local pet shop. She seems okay? She's almost 2months old and a little past 3ft. I fed her today and after a minute or two she finally ate. What should I look out for? Health wise. If he were to be sick or anything how could I spot that???

  • do u turn ur light off at night or leave them on? if u turn it off then wont it get to cold and if u leave it on will it effect the snake in anyway bcause of the constent light. and where did u get that thermostat or whatever its calle the thing u plugged both of ur heat source on so u can try not to burn ur snake. and y do they only go in water if they have mites or any other problems.

  • lisp

  • If the pet store demonstrate feeds the ball bython is it fine to buy it from there???

  • What are the towels for? To keep the humidity in? Also can i make it really humid for the snake like run the shower on hot?? Or will that be a probloam?

  • how do u regulate humidity using newspaper? I would think that would be very dry...

  • how often should a ball python shed? because my snake has gone 5 weeks,

  • newspaper? really? if the snake ever spills water or if you mist the cage the ink will turn back into a liquid and that is HIGHLY toxic to the snake. please people dont use newspaper, use a safe wood product, it holds humidity alot better, your snake can burrow if he/she wants to, and it absorbs poo alot better

  • yo my humidity is stuck around 40% is this ok? and how could i raise it if it needs to go higher

  • Where the towels on the top wet?

  • I got my BP at a petstore in april and she didn't eat until July but now she eats great! Do you think the reason she wasn't eating at first was becuase of where I got her or she just took a while to get used to her enviorment? I also have had her in a 30 gallon since I've had her, which was probably a mistake but its all i had at the time

  • Comment removed

  • hey can anyone tell me if my ball python is ok? she has all these little white beaten up scales at the end of her body and they are really dry, does not move aorund at all and has skin that over laps each other sort of like small wrinkles does anyone kno whats wrong with her or is she fine? her eating and crapping is fine

  • Hey man thanks alot! Im hoping on getting a ball python very soon and this video was extremely helpful. Appreciate it!

  • 30 packs of beer for 15.97? LMAO

  • what if my heat on the hot side is 96 is that bad i think i just worked something out to kool it down but i used alluminum foil any other suggestions

  • what should be the humidity level in the tank?

  • is it okay if you have a hide over the heatpad?

  • Would it be fine if i used a heat pad on one side and use a lamp like you have on the other side?

  • which side do i need to have the water bowl? cold/warm ???

  • Hey bro I have many imports from Africa and they eat just well it's somewhat true what you say but not all are bad eaters. and as far as mites that's why you have quaritine, but keep up the good work.

  • @mikeyherrington122 you should take him to a vet immediately. it might have a disease, something not wrong with him. or maybe hes just a little nervous and is too scared to eat. either way you will want to get this checked out as soon as you can. cheers.

  • @mikeyherrington122 humidity helps snakes shed in one peice

  • do u know breeders in winston salem,NC

  • Nice video!

do you feed yours live mice?

  • Is it a good idea to buy a snake from a reptile specialty store? I dont know if there are any breeders by me, but there is a reptile specialty store by my house but I dont want to buy a reptile there if its not a good idea.

  • @Catherine9041

you could buy one from there but just get a young one or ask the pet shop worker or someone if it was born in captivity :Dx

  • i have just had my first ball python and i found your video to be the most informative i have watched every thing i have read about them all the research i have done ur video matches everything im doing with my ball python however i did notice my python soaking in his water the other day could you explain to me again what that means please

  • @xKiLLuSiioNzZ

Hes having a bath? he wants to stay clean like you do! he cant lick himslef really can he? or hes just cooling down :Dx

  • hi i hav my ball python that is a month old an i hav it on a ten gallon tank thn i will put him ona twnty gallon, but i dont know whre to put him as an adult ona 40 or a 50

  • your advice is great but the way you said it makes it sound very difficult to have a ball python. although I want one but all the heating and lighting and humitity sounds really hard. plus what if I go on vaction? would it be ok to leave it at home???

  • do the towls need to be moist, and can i use newspaper as bedding?

  • how would you set up a habitat for a plastic container?

  • would a heat mat be good for the plastic container? like, the only problem for me would be heating if I used a plastic container, and I'd rather use a plastic container rather than a tank

  • I love your voice. Just saying.

    Very very helpful video. Thanks!

  • Some nice tips there mate.

  • hey i have a doubt thet no one has answerd me ok,so im gonna buy a male bp 5 months old . what size should i feed him and how often and when do i start to feed him larger meals . and the other one is can i handle him a day after he ate and can i handle him when hi is sheding .thanks(sorry for all the questions and my bad english)

  • hey man I need sum help...

I've been tryin yo keep the humidity up by spraying and puttin towels on the top but it never gets to the right humidity and it always drops back down quickly

if u can help me out that would be great

  • Great vid. ty for posting

  • hey drake quick thing, would cherry hurt a ball python im makeing a custom cage for the one im about to get im good at carpentry

  • is the glass and wood enclosure better for keeping humidity and heat because i dont like the look of the tubs as i would like to be able to see my snake moving in its cage :) thanks !

  • What should I do if my snake doesn't seem to like his hide? I've tried a few different kinds, but he seems to like just curling up in the corner of the tank : /

  • @DrRambo First thing try to get a hide that only has one opening so that the snake can feel secure on all sides of its body. Also give him 2 hides because your snake sometimes will prefer one side of the cage over the other so giving him a hide on each side should help also.

  • @DrakeGlacious Thanks for the advice! I actually took an old tupperware container I had lying around, and put a good enough sized hole in it, and put it on the other side of his tank. He seems to like it, though he still doesn't seem all that interested in the other hide I have.

  • @DrRambo i have just had my new ball python and i have to say that ur video is the most informative one i have seen so far really good all the reading and research i ave done is all in ur video and i seem to be doing everything right however you mentioned about not seeing them bathe in there water dish i have seen mine do this once he is three months old and i have had him 2 weeks should i be worried about anything

  • @DrRambo

You might want to make sure your temps are correct then. It may be either too hot/cold in the area you are placing the hide. I typically strive for around 92 degrees on the hot side and around 75-80 on the cool side. Like he said two hides are ideal. One on the hot side and one on the cool side. Check out my channel if you get the chance. It documents my collection along with new animals and some rat breeding coming soon too!

  • @DrRambo and the snakes like to feel all side of the hide so dont get 1 too big and dont get too small

  • is it good to handle a ball python when its shedding

  • @juwan1007 No, you could get bit.

  • yo how much does the thermometer cost

  • ilove ur videos they r very helpful

  • lol the snake r expensive there i bought mine for 35 on the pet shop

  • @AIRKILLER1000 I saw one at incridible pets for 35 dollars and petco 79.99, but I think the ones that are more expensive are better beacuse when I saw the petco snake, it was moving around and looked shiny healthy and active, when I saw the cheaper snake it looked soggy droopy and unclean so mabye that is the difference

  • i need help i bought a ball python n in like 3 days it didnt want to move but it still breathes n i dont know wat to do n im worried that it will die n i barely bought it :(

  • @AIRKILLER1000 take it back to the pet store

  • @boasrbeast my snake it a lot better but it dosent it n were can i buy a snake dat would eat

  • @AIRKILLER1000 kingsnake(dot)com then click on classifieds there are many reputable breeders

  • i need help i bought a ball python n in like 3 days it dosent want to do nothin it dosent want to move but is still breathin n im worried that is gona die

  • can you use calcum sand?

  • @TheGeckex Calcium sand is not recommended because it is poor at holding humidity and if ingested can cause compaction. Aspen, Cypress mulch, Coconut Fiber and Repti Bark are all better substrates for ball pythons.

  • @DrakeGlacious thank you =)

  • @DrakeGlacious Great advice Drake!!!

  • @DrakeGlacious I have my ball in repti bark does this need to be changed or replaced once in a while?

  • @Snogrrrl your substrate needs to be changed every month atleast u can use the same type of thing but it needs to be cleaned out every month and fresh substrate evry month atleast

  • @TheGeckex I use Indoor-Outdoor carpet

  • @TheGeckex I say not only because the risk of impaction and respiratory infection. If you want a cool, easy to use substrate I suggest aspen shavings.

  • @FuzzyHappyLemons i whould just like to say if you ever recommend aspen shavings or aspen bedding to let them know not to feed there snake on this at all and to place the snake in another box just for feeding if the snake eats any of this it will most likely die

  • does there need to be a cool side and a hot side? or just all hot? please reply cause im getting one in 3 days

  • @Koolkid736 Yes there needs to be a cool side because if your entire cage is hot then you can stress your snake out and also you will stop it from being able to thermoregulate. You always want to give your snake a place in the cage that it can go and cool off if it starts to get too warm.

  • @DrakeGlacious if i get a snake and know no breaders what shold i do :/

  • Good video.

  • Nice vid! Very informative and well presented :)

  • cool vid

  • were do i buy from a breeder im looking for a pastel???

  • @osttoc go to kingsnake(dot)com then go to classifieds and search for what you want. they are tons of reputable breeders, i have boughten off of tht site for a while now and everything is healthy that i get. but make sure to do your research on the breeder before you buy. find out the breeder's name and g00gle it

any more questions just shoot me a message

  • actually i got my ball python from a petstore ive had him for 6 month he's never bite are stuck at me and he eats everytime i feed him he's great

an you should use aspen or something they like it better

  • could we use sand for the beding

  • no!

  • could u buy a python if ur 16

  • @coreyissexy12 yes, well in england you can but if ur under 16 you need to be with a adult.

  • My little guy just shed for the 6th time and it was all in one piece the only problem is that he shed all but the skin off his face. He's been trying to rub it off for days, even had him soak in water and kept the humidity up. Still hasn't come off though. Any ideas anyone?

  • @BigSwede06 give him a hand, pull it off.

  • I wish I had seen this video before I bought my Ball Pythone.I got him Feb 17th.and I have tryed to feed him FROZEN- reg-mice,small mice and even Pinkies. He will not eat at all.I am not sure what to do.Any suggestions?Thank you

  • Make sure the frozen mice and thawed........and warm but now wet............... or just feed live or just killed

  • hey watsup man... I just wanna know, how do u keep the humidity in the cage, besides a water bowl? In the summer when i'm not using my heat pad my snake can shed easily.. Now that its winter and the head pad is on, my ball python is having incomplete sheds.. Soaking him in a tub helps it, but is there anyway to fix this problem besides soaking him.

  • @Stifledsubmission u might want to try to put damp towels on the top of the cage so it traps the hmidity

  • Hmmmm.he has holes on the sideo f hi tank.. but alot of holes on the top of his tub.. I'll give ita try, ij ust hope he'll get enough air

  • hey reptilesne1 fuck u dont matter if hes black nice vid man keep on making em

  • what does pigment in his skin have to do with anything

  • Das vus stein ki losaf takikfluten mak tag un tag stachht zeeidd? von tagerssmiyittyk das vantough kezer mozon?

  • i got my snake 3 months ago, and its grown by a foot. its 1 year old now. is this a bad thing?

  • how often do you feed it?

  • once a week, 1 adult mouse

  • one adult mouse once a week

  • not at all it usally grows everytime it sheds it getting bigger is a good thing =)

  • alright thanks=)

  • I got my ball python from a petco and it eats 4 mice every 2 weeks and has no problems

  • Depending on the size of the Mice, I don't reccomend feeding him 4. Remeber that the biggest problem with snakes a in captivity is that over 70% of them are overfed...

  • This guy gives his Mali Uromastyx baths..........

  • hi is a habitat 17.8"W x 33.5"L x 6"H

good for a ball python as a baby and adult?

  • no i dont think so

  • wow man thanks that makes sooo much sense..my 2nd ball python only ate once but i had to hold the mouse right in its face...i got another but i made sure to get him older then a baby one from petco so he eats fine..but next time i get a ball python im finding a breeder

  • nice hand signals lolz

  • What About Monster Pet ?

  • i almost got RI cuz my heatpad wasnt being used properly, but i fixed it and hes perfectly fine now

  • I am very impressed with your awesome teaching, very informational, love it!

    Peace

  • thanks for this video. Some dumb ass made a supposed ball python care video with a Kanye West song playing. That music is good, but it just makes the video seem hokie, and not being a Virginia Tech fan, I don't care for that. :) (inside joke)

    But good video

  • could i put my python in like a really big tub and put a human heat pad in it my freind gave me his and i am feeding it mice any tips thanks man

  • hey ive got a ball python thats about 20 inches right now and is too small to fit into a custom cage. Right now hes in a 10 gallon but i im having trouble keeping up the humidity. I have some of that humidity moss in there and spray his cage twice a day but i cant get it to stay around 50 to 60 % it goes down to like 20% after an hour any suggestions to get it to stay up. im going to get a mister but until then any ideas.

  • get a large water dish for him and set it on the heated side of the tank. the water will evaporate and raise the humidity. you will have to fill the water dish more often, but you should be changing the water every day anyway.

  • A cool trick is to get a fogger (about $20 at petsmart). You can put it in a big bowl of water and it creates a fog/mist in the tank. Just run it every once in a while, set on a timer (about $25 at petsmart), to keep the humidity up.

  • I got a baby Iguana named drake

  • cool

  • Comment removed

  • but i trade my baby ball python for a 6ft red tail colombian boa shes HOT ! LOL

  • yah they're also annoying and pissy as hellll

  • ..... petco/ petsmart are run by the devil... there animals get aweful care and no one there kno wtf they're talking about.....

  • i agree at some places but not all of them

  • soo my ball python is about 4 feet long. i was wondering.. what type of hide should i use!? lol he is kinda big for most hides you know? or is it as important now that he is older and bigger?

  • i bought my python in petco and its well eating buddy and tomorrow ima buy anotha 1

  • yea petcos fine most people dont know what theyre talking about but they get theyre all theyre snakes from gourmet rodent the same people they get theyre frozen rodents from so theyre captive bred and stuff

  • duuuude u care so much about yo BP man, lol hey im ganna buy one in like 1 week or so

  • Sorry, when should you put the humidity to 70% I cant quite catch it ?

    Anyonee?

  • When they shed. it helps them. he said

" you wanna bump it up to 70% for their sheds."

  • when your snake is shedding
