@FlauschiWauschi well, it really did not really behave as expected, since when using this pseudo-button as a background and fiting it to the pane, it rips all controls on top of it apart proportionally when trying to resize the pane. still a nice idea, though.
this solved a problem for me, because decorations haven't got the option 'fit to pane'. with that little workaround, one is able to do that.
