@pbenna You can, but you have to fold them so they are "inside" the clothes before putting them through. I have only ever broke one button, and I was a bit careless in that case.
Can you PLEASE tell me what kind of oil you use for the gears? I've been looking all over the internet for it, and apparently these things are out of date ;D lol just kidding. but yea, i cant find any oil information. :(
@eddy1210 thanks so much :D the things been leaking oil down the leg for as long as we've had it, and we never knew if we needed to put more oil in, what kind of oil it needed, or what. so thank you.(:
Wow how can you wash two white dress shirts in with a bunch of dark colored towels :S don't you want your whites to be nice and white? Not dingy and greyish?
I bet the clothes come out super clean, looks like great agitating!

@Pickles10175 just use a bit of turbine oil to oil the roller bearings. Other than that, it never needs anything else.

@Pickles10175 Ya, they seem to all do that. Nothing to worry about, there's alot of tranny oil in that gearbox.

I used a 1966 Maytag wringer for about 5 years. I still have it. Keep it oiled and it works.
