  • MUTE MODE..! LET THE MUSIC PLAY, DUDE! :D

  • were is da sound i am glad i not de only one dis is homework

  • where is the freakin sound?? :O

  • It sounds so much Hindu to me.

Good to have so many variety of cultural display though... :)

  • Balinese women get up at 4am and go to sleep at 11pm (usually for NO wages) , they are worked like dogs. I have lived in Bali for many years and have assisted many women to "rise" above this awful "tradition" that says they are nothing more "than an animal" and are only there for the constant "use" and "abuse" and "fodder" for the Men that they hold so much "admiration" for (Sic). I do respect the Balinese, but it stops when it comes to the respect and treatment of their women.

  • I can't play an instrument, but this I could do. I'm a natural Gamelaner!

  • If I close my eyes, I can almost feel myself sitting in a lush green forest, a nearby stream, the warm balmy wind hitting my against my skin as the sun's warm rays hit the earth while I hear the birds sing.

  • FYI: Bali island is a part of INDONESIA.....

  • Oooh! There´s one suling... I know it shouldn´t b exactly the same pitch, but that one suling sounds much too high, no?! It´s only one the sulings, but u can really hear it. I guess it´s the suling kantil (the small one). Sounds like a pendet, did u see it in Ubud?

  • my cousin live in bali and play gamelan

i see him every 2 or three years

    no money no bali lol

  • i love balinese music it s so pure ,

  • I love this clip. I was in Bali not long ago and it was so otherworldly to be able to hear this off in the distance from just about anywhere.

  • when someones ear is used in pop , rap and crap >>> he can't taste this kind of music ... i love balinese music even i am an arabic and muslim but stil i like it

  • It is so true! It takes an ear of appreciation to taste this kind of music.

Doesn't matter if you are Arabic, music transcends all borders ^_^

  • interesting...not something i'd pop into my CD player or ipod

but there is something strangely haunting about it the more i listen to it..it kind of lingers

    on second thought

not really sure why but i think i like it :)

  • Why not? Racist

  • Racist jamaican then

  • Racist is worse than imbecile

  • lol! love your comment haha x

  • I love Bali. It's one of the most interesting places around the world. To understaing balinese music and dance, it's very important to know their religion and history.

  • don´t u ever insult balinese music!

  • its incredible music, oh i always miss it...

  • Interesting music, I really like it. Imo, the negative comments here are probably made by people who don't really understand or know anything about music.

  • wow! great vid! i would love to play kotekan that fast! Is this piece "Grya Anyar"?

  • Probably not - it's more likely one of the many, many pieces of the lelambatan repertoire, which is indispensable in religious festivals in Bali. Each village is likely to have its own lelambatan repertoire.

  • I am sorry. In my opinion you know or understand nothing about gamelan.

  • Terrific! First rate performance. Gorgeous-looking instruments! The only problem: too many cuts.

  • Waw this is the most unique instruments i've ever seen in my life,,,,where is it located?

  • bali, indonesia. a number of these gong type instruments (gamelan) can be seen all across malaysia, thailand, indonesia, and the philippines.

  • what makes you say that?!!

  • awesome instrument
