  • Lol could everyone please shut up about the math comments? THis means a lot more than algebra...

  • Check out my remix!

  • mos def could of been as good as nas but somethings lacking in music i dont know what it is though

  • @goodguyj He's greater than Nas to me personally man. I think it's just that Mos Def is not really known...his music is old school and has always been old school...and as you know people would rather listen to the new school bs than these old school lyrical geniuses. I think it's also that Nas made songs with rappers who are really well known these days. Oh and Nas debuted about 3 years earlier than Mos.

  • MADDEN 2002!!

  • @daleva187goligo for PS2 lol

  • why did one straw break the camels back? here's the secret the million other straws underneath it.

  • Whenever anyone i know disses hip hop i make em listen to mos. as much as the shitty rappers are destroying hip hop, we still got the mighty mos holdin it up.

  • @GDOGFRESHYO gurus good

  • @cmhonsu33 guru was dope as fuck but i was talkin about the dope emcees we have today keepin it real.

  • As an old schooler who grew up on all the 80's & 90's hip-hop it's hard for me to listen to today's mainstream so called music because I'm tired of cats rapping about their dick, bitches,ho's,cars, bling, money, strip clubs, beef, killing other rappers ect. These fucking dirty ass music executives have sold out to promote today's mainstream garbage. What happened to the radio stations promoting real hip-hop like rakim,krs-one,public enemy,x-clan,TCQ,heavy d.,bambaataa, ect. It's pure shit today.

  • @str8outtatexas1 check out kendrick lamar

  • @str8outtatexas1 i'm part of the younger generation, and they like us stupid. some of us still find our way here tho

  • @str8outtatexas1 i wish i was there when hip hop was pure and not this shit that my friends listen at school.

  • @str8outtatexas1 you act like rappers didnt talk about that in the 90s... because they did... krs one criminal minded provided the background for east coast gangsta rap his song P is free talks about prostitues and drugs... people rap about what they do .. so who are you to judge there lyricism because of what they do... judge the persons morals not his rhyme.the best rappersever (jay-z, BIG, Pac) talked about everything from hoes to drugs to whatever

  • mos def for prez!

  • Damn I miss the 90's

  • I wanna rap like this....but how?

  • rock ya hard hat black cuz you in the terrordome...

  • I don't have tv and don't listen to the radio. FUCK mainstream because of the message it pushes and how it encourages us to act. An example of why people don't support things they don't like....LIKE YOU know what I'm up to enrique

  • I listen to mainstream, also this variety is cool. Don't be who you think people will praise, be you. :)

  • I love the picture on the album. It's so artistic and profound.

  • lol an educated rapper

  • DONT FORGET YOUR TOWEL BRUTHA

  • Mos Def is the reason why i love mathematics:) Love from norway:)

  • If something ever happens to this man I'm gonna lose my shit.

  • yo its black star now yo

  • ـــ!ـــ

  • My neck hurts....thanks premo!!

  • Well, I'll say it then...music taps into your soul.

If you listen to dudes that talk about reaching physical chemical reactions (like sex) then all you're gonna do is tap into that part of your soul..... just run around chasing the physical and ignorning the internal. So we got a society today that chases materialistic and physical highs..keep consuming cuz the new becomes old and we all need the newest and illiest to be the coolest.

This is healthy for the soul. Facts. No pretending

  • @FreedomIsInTheMind i like you insights.. very fundamental

  • good god thats good

  • You ain't messing with that "Bucka! Bucka! Bucka! Bucka! Bucka! BUCKA!".

  • "When the average minimum wage is $5.15, you best believe you gotta find a new grind to get green"

Best line I have heard in quite a while. This is just as powerful as when it came out more than a decade ago.

Check out my channel if you agree

  • @DatKidSativaTV I went to your channel, saw you posted the same spam comments on like 20 vids, I clicked on on "Roll the Windows Up" and heard you rapping about your car, popping bottles in the club, and "getting fucked'. Go spam somewhere else.

  • @KimoIsKing You obviously picked the one song you expected to have generic material in. Listen to the recent ones you'll see my style is not about having a car or popping bottles in the club, but rather it was only that one song. And yes I spam comments, hate on a nigga for tryin, what you doin besides watchin? Nuff said, peace

  • how can you be that smart?

  • 1 sick producer + 1 sick rapper = 1 sick song

  • mathematics aint what stacks it

    education thats what smacks dat

  • buka buka buka ... haha!

    I'm definitely not mainstream

  • Sounds just like classic, proper hip hop. Refreshing to hear

  • "young bloods can't spell, but they'll rock you at playstation.."

  • Madden 02 bitches.

  • Knowledge is the key to success.

  • Im a 19 year old rapper by the name of Yp and i understand that the music industry is slowly dying for lack of real music so if your tired of the usual just check out my channel for a breathe of fresh air

  • im no hipster.... its too mainstream

  • This is what hip-hop is missing. thumbs up if you feel this s@*t

  • Comment removed

  • @MrCMGPV hip hop isn't missing it though...hip hop is music for the youth and the youth often have a more "immature" taste, if everyone who listened to hiphop was 25+ mos def would be huge, hip hop wouldn't be as big of a genre...<----- that might all be bullshit i don't know

  • how is he so good? wth

  • @chozophazon how isnt he good? he's Mos fucken Def!!!!!!!!!

  • i hate mathematics but i luv this song

  • @roycephantom4me dont even acknowledge Wacka fans, they should be embarassed to admit they listen to him

  • I CANT HEAR YOUR QUARRELS OVER THE SOUND OF THE MUSIC

  • Comment removed

  • only if money was subtracted from this world, then more heart would be added to art. the result would be more awsome shit like this...

  • lol all these people saying fuck mainstream..lol like you don't listen to it

  • @enriquemdma420 Specifially, we're talking about Lil Wayne, Troop 41 or other shit like that. Some of them have a couple good singles, like Eminem, Kanye or Lupe Fiasco, who in my opinion is the only good rapper nowadays. I can't listen to J. Cole, but that could just be my personal preference.

  • @MrPancakeThief

I can't listen to J.Cole, prefer Immortal Technique, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Beanie Sigel over him.

  • @enriquemdma420 One things is listening to it, a whole other thing is respecting it and appreciating it. Mos Definitely one of the best tracks I know this one, btw. Peace out

  • @enriquemdma420 ...we dont, any mainstream rap, hip hop, or even anything else, is complete garbage with no thought put into it, anyone can write that shit themselves

  • @enriquemdma420 actually i really dont. it sucks.

  • @enriquemdma420 whats this "mainstream" you speak of?

  • help me rap mos def. I mean you already have but come see me.

  • 'young bloods cant spell but will rock you at playstation'. Rhymes like these show how powerful the medium of rap can be at expresseing social injustices. Not to mention, its an amazing type of music when at its best; as it is now.

  • aawww yeah this is some good shit! should have found this way earlier!

  • gotta go find joifd0000's comment now...

  • @dozebooze click "show all comments", press Ctrl + F and write "joifd0000" on the search box below

  • thumbs up if you listened till the end :P

  • I never liked hiphop, but this. Amazing.

  • "What are we talking about here" is that a sample from ghostbusters lol ? Cuz wiki says theres a sample from Ghostbusters in this song..

  • Comment removed

  • So uhh yeah Madden 02, remember this song on it?

  • lil wayne sucks

  • @529Jiub Type in Dessy Hinds-The Definition

  • Mos Def is just now becoming famous?!

  • @ObnoxiousTeens lol nah, people in NY know him well.

  • yea its a shame reading under all the good ol rap songs comments with fkn LIL WAYNE

ppl.... get of his dick. i never listened to a song of him, and ill never do

if yall think hes wack, stop supportin him. all he wants is to get talk about. and u all suckin his dick.<<<< MOS DEF n PREMIER = great combo!

  • The poet of out time.

  • Mos Def is the lyric genious !

  • First comment i see is a bitchy little wayne, comment, even though he does suck, we need to stop gettin so anal about some nigga tryin to make a livin, he aint hurtin nobobdy

  • @Prattrick1 Yes he is, he is hurting my ears. While talented artist like Mos Def or Talib Kweli or even Lupe Fasico get pushed to the side as being to "smart" asses like him get grammy wins.

  • addicted to this shiiit

  • This song is truly one of the shittiest I've heard in the past decade...

  • @HulkHooligann

Why Is that if I may know?

  • @HulkHooligann Then you're a fucking retard.

  • @HulkHooligann your not even a good troll its too obvious youre trolling. unless you are truly musically impaired.

  • Got this on vinyl! Great song!

  • this is one of the best rap songs of all time..

  • HAHA NEGOS LATINOS N GRINGOS AHHAH

  • i figured shit out man...Wayne and the other rertards sell bcuz of the niggas from the South...they are the 95% of the buyers...thats right ppl them niggas from the south the majoraty are str8 retards thats why they are attracted to wack music..and another thing learn from me...dont ever ever ever ever in ur life start a debate with a Wacka Flocka fan...cuz u cant go lower than that...take it from someone who did that

  • @roycephantom4me you talk wet bruv!

  • @PKclan1 what ?

  • i'm illuminati. you mad?

  • @roblogification nobody cares!

  • Whats funny is that with all this mainstream hate and underground love, why don't artists like Mos Def, Talib Kweli and other "Unappreciated Greats" have platinum albums? Its because their fans are too busy giving more buzz about the negativity of other people's music than buying copies of their album. People are sheep. Follow the herd idiots

  • @lukecage92 If you honestly believe that.. your a retard and should get back in your box.. You answered your own question, they don't have platinum albums because they AREN'T MAINSTREAM so the sheeple people don't get to hear this = less sales. The bitter truth is that most people are stupid and will just take whats thrown at them by mainstream society. What the fuck is your point anyway? Everyone should just shut up and listen to the unoriginal mainstream shit? You should be sent to slaughter..

  • Nobody thought he was part of the illuminati then. Why now? Because he has money? When he speaks about God in his songs in a standpoint like he doesn't exist its because in a place where all your prayers go unanswered why would you believe in that? The illuminati may be real and he may be in it but why do y'all care? Music is Music. if its good to hell with the person making it. If its bad then you should have something to say.

  • Actually listen to lyrics don't just judge artists on what you hear. Lil wayne does have some songs with good lyrical content. And whoever says Jay-z doesn't say anything is retarded. Your favorite rapper's favorite rapper is probably Jay-z. He is one of the most lyrical artists in this day and people are going a bit overboard on this illuminati shit. He is a self-made black man that came from a small time drug dealer from Marcy Projects.

  • @lukecage92 In response to your other two comments (god you really are retarded);

"Lil Wayne does have SOME songs with good lyrical content".. Once again, making yourself look silly. I'd say 1/10 of his songs actually make any sense + okay lyrical content (if he even bothers) and he's dominating mainstream atm with SOME good songs... go figure?

ALSO, I agree some people go extra on the Jay-Z shit, but he brings it on himself with his satanic videos and he IS A FREEMASON, you don't know shit..

  • @avonasac12 Lol at jay-z being freemason.. pretty sure thats all just speculation..

  • @avonasac12 Unless you are a freemason don't pretend to understand it.and honestly i know alot about hip-hop seeing as i am an artist. Lil-wayne and Jay-z are great rappers. A hip-hop artist and a rapper are two different things. An artist does it for the love of the music and a rapper is just doing a job. Jay-z is the best rapper because he has the most money. You can have an opinion on who's the best artist. But, we all know who is doing the best job.
