It takes willpower and discipline not to try and be thin for other people. food is not the enemy. it's been keeping people alive for thousands of years. what a shame you won't be joining the living, but maybe it's better so you can no longer cause the deaths of lots of young beautiful girls. you'll be dead before you reach "perfection"
I don't understand how you can tell ppl that boys don't want fat girlfriends. At least fat girls aren't dying in the guys arms. No guy wants to date a skeleton, or have sex with on for that matter. and if you want to kill yourself, you shouldn't recruit.

i totally agree, these girls look disgusting and the chick whos posting these videos is promoting anorexia nervosa as a good thing. she should have her account deleted. im all for being thin, but not that way at all, i like to eat and take care of myself, not look like a disgusting skeleton
The reason I came here is because I'm concerned about a very close friend of mine and wanted to see what exactly drivers her to do what she does. If you must know, it's simple as that.
I'm very sorry to read about your friend. Unfortunately there's not one reason behind eating disorders. there's probably a bigger issue going on with her besides just wanting to lose weight. Most ED's aren't about vanity (even though it may appear that way on the surface). the best thing you can do for her is just be there for her and let her know how much you care about her - w/o making her feel bad or guilty. I hope your friend finds the help she needs.

But if I may add my opinion, if this is the way you want to live your life, then go for it, but trying to inspire others to starve themselves because that is "perfection"... I mean, people have their different preferences, but trying to inspire people to pursue this mental illness...
the people searching for these vids already have a problem and no one can change that. you can tell someone to stop/start starving themselves but unless they want to they won't. If all these videos get taken down I'm still going to starve myself. I'm not trying to be mean it just seems that everyone thinks that people with ED's are so gullible. you don't just watch some 3 min. youtube video and decide, "oh, I think I'll starve myself too!".

Wow - this shows a really interesting perspective. Simultaneously suffering, and then pretty much liking the suffering - I can understand that. It's also interesting that people think everyone wants to be the skinny girl, but when they are thin enough to be the skinny girl they tell people not to want to be like them. This isn't an attack, just an observation - I've starved as well.
