I remember getting stuff while on deployment from my little brothers, although they are alot younger then me, they have been my best friends and its nice to know that although they didnt want me to go and i figured they hated me for leaving that they still loved me enough to send me stuff and wishing me a happy and safe return
One of my great grandfathers and both of my grandfathers served in the military--one in Korea, one in Vietnam. One of my uncles and one or two of my cousins have also served, or are still in. So at least one person in every generation of my family since then has served in the military. Plus my boyfriend left for Army basic only a few days ago. Not to mention step-grandfathers. I'm so proud of all of them and hope that when I graduate in 2012 I can join them. :)
@TheFrankie0607 Well good luck to your nephew, i just returned from the desert, and i was thankful i made it home safe, i hope all my Military Brothers and Sisters come home safe, that includes your newphew!
considering that it was made only from what I could find and a few random shots with a home camcorder, I take that as a compliment. Because it was made by an amateur with non pro equipment.
my 2nd cuzin is a sniper a luckily he is alive and he goverment is forcing him to go back and i cried and his dad is dead i dont know how he is happy with a wife a son and a dog =' )
i heard this song at my brothers air force bmt graduation he took us to the chapel and ill tell you what its a totally different experience. i cant wait to get there
i love this song. my friend ws in the army and well..we were very very close...and i got a call from his officer saying he died last week. i sang it at his funeral. he was shot trying to protect an inocent civilian. in his honor im signing up. but let me tel u guys who wnt 2 serve. u are brave and corageous young men and women.u will b doing are country n r ppl great favors. god will protect u through ur journeys. god bless.
Thank you for what you are doing. I admire you for signning up. My brother is a Marine and my nephew is in the Army, and admire all the men and women that serve our country. I will pray for you and for the family of your friend that died. May God bless you and protect you and the others!
thank you:) it means alot to me to know how much support that i have and also knowing peolple are praying for my friends family(they will need it). god bless you, your brother and nephew. :) and every man and woman serving
Thank you!! You are protecting me and my freedom!!! You are brave and have all the courage in the world!!! I will pray for you and keep your friend and you on my mind for the rest of my life!!
thank you so much. :) and i too will keep you in mind. it helps to know people out there support thoughs who are either serving or going to. thakns again :)
this song reminds me of when my uncle served he got captured and how he got captured was saving the wounded one of the men he saved wrote us a letter.
the first time i heard this song i didnt listen to the words n i thot it was letters for more and so for 4 months (i was doing a dance for a dance recital) i was dancing to this song then recital night i realized wat it was saying and in the middle of the dance i started tearing up
We are leaving tomorrow to watch our 18 year old daughter graduate Air Force bootcamp. I read her letters from there and I cry. I am so proud of her and proud to be an American.
"Regardless of the politics, support the soldiers." I think that we can all agree on the relevance of that quote here. Any further words have failed me...
I first heard this at school last year, I started tearing up at school. I didn't get made fun of, the whole school, even the little 7th graders, were silent. This is a touching song, we pray that the troops will be watched over <3 Thank you for what you are doing everday.
Thank you to all my cuzins and grampas who serve (served) to all my friends who did to Nusse, Jones, Drea, Ferher, Moore, Jensen, "Flower", Cripe, Peters, Hayes, Smith, Schultz, Slead, Gonzales, Kossow, Schofield and ALL the boys i havent met and others that have the bravery and strenght to live the way they do. THANKYOU!
Pray for all the men in service thank them all for protecting us. Without them this country would be nothing. I would like to thank everyone thats in the servise for protecting, serving and helping our country become one. Thank you!!!
I was raised by a Mom and Dad both in the Army. As an Army Brat, the sense of pride and patriotism has continued into adulthood. This song is wonderful as it points out the people at home praying for the safe return of their loved ones--parents, children, friends... Thank you for protecting our country.
i hope everyone in the services is doing good i love this song it's beatufill i have 2 cousins whoa re in the forces one is in the air force the other is in the navy . i hope you have a wonderfull day
this song so memorable my fiance is a marine he has to go over there! i dont want him to go! my great grandad faught i WW1 with germany my grandad fought in WW2 with america and my dad fought in the veitnam war im followng thier footsteps and either going into the marines or airforce.
thast is abeautiful video, it alwasys makes me cry when i listen to it, wars are the worst thing out there, the best kind of weapon is one that never has to be used
my brother is in iraq now...he ws meant to come home about a week or two ago but they are keeping him for another month....it really suks caus stupid kevin rudd said he was pulling all our troops out but all hes done is sent out over 200 more. asshole! i hate wars i think they are pointless
wars arent ponitless there are to help people who ask for help i am 14 i know this what about you are saying wars ponitless it isnt it is also helping people
don't hate the war....go there first and then tell me we aren't supposed to be there!!!! WE just can't PULL out...wish it was that easy!!!but i'm sorry about your bro
My 3rd cusin is in Iraq. He was about to come home but his daughter was hving a baby w/ 3 weeks tell he came home. So now he has to go back 4 2more years. Plz pray 4 him and his family they need all they can get. Thank you from 1991aj2.
this song is so sad. every time i listen to it i can barely keep from crying. my step grandfather was a WWII survivor and went on to win the Congretional Medal of Honor. my great uncle fought in the Korean conflict. war is such a horrible thing. i pray that it ends soon. God bless the troops and the world.
Thanks for letting me know that other than the "controversial clip" you did like it. I was simply trying to make it so that it wasn't specific to any one war, and that scene was the best I could find for the Civil War.
Im sorry, I shoulda told ya that sooner. I thought it was great cept when I saw that Confederate flag I couldnt handle it cuz my Grandad is a WWII Honoree & my Bro is servin in Afghanistan under the American Flag. Sorry.
It's important to remember that fine young men die on both sides of a war...even if one side's leadership is wrong and has brought on the whole thing...there were good guys caught up in it on both sides. Many southern christian young men were told lies...just as many Germans and Japanese were.
I wanna know WHY they would even put a Confederate Flag (the enemy a r Country who divides r Country) on a United States MEMORIAL video. R Military serves, fights & dies 4 & under Old Glory, the flag of the UNITED STATES of America, not some freakin rebel flag.
For your information, I made this to honor ALL americans who fought in a war, I was attempting incluse something to honor ALL. If you don't like it, don't bother watching.
And I rewatched the clip that contains it is a clip from Gone With the Wind. I'm sure you don't realize how hard it can be to find a clip that works for what you want. And the Conferates were Americans too.
Wow, I love this song. This was actually one of my favorite songs hwen I was little, even though I had no one out to war. I try to pray everyday for the soldiers out in Iraq. I plan to go out there one day.
