And we have not any reason to suppose it had the very particular fur/stripes arrangement of the tiger. That's why I hated the simildon from 10,000 BC. It was just a tiger with big teeth.

That's probably a reconstruction of the clouded leopard. These still have the structure of the saber teeth. You look at their mouths it's clear. You google that and the skulls and you are looking at the living sabertooth tiger.
