Over de Wake-turbulence; Het was Geen Boeing 747 of iets dergelijks; de turbulentie van een 757 is stukken lichter; de winglets van de 738 van THY zouden een effect van wake turbulentie moeten absorberen; ook is 2 minuten RUIM genoeg om geen risico te vormen voor verkeer achter de 757, tenzij het een Cessna 172 is of iets dergelijks. Hoeveel turbulentie zou er voglens jouw na 2 minuten nog over zijn?

Update: er is helaas nog een cabin crew overleden.. Het zijn nu 6 Turken en 4 Amerikanen geworden. Van de 4 Amerikanen waren er 2 werkend bij Boeing in Amerika!!!!

Update2: Over de oorzaak: mogelijk een wake turbulence van een 757, wat de gevaarlijkste wake turbulence veroorzaakt!!! Dit is ook de meest logische verklaring, want een vliegtuig verliest niet al zijn snelheid en hoogte in 25 sec. Waren de motoren maar uitgevallen, dan kon hij het nog steeds halen met die snelheid!

Theres nothing you can do, when youre at 200 metres and when one or both engines have a malfunction/running out of fuel. Thats just not in a savezone. A savezone is above 1 Kilometres, and under 10 metres; then the plane can land safely with eg gliding. And how do you know that the engines were working?

You just landed on the wrong place, you landed exactly near Knooppunt Rottepolderplein where I was last night serveral hours after the crash There were no pieces of the aircraft, so, it landed directly onto the farm. It's also impossible that the engines went off. If the engines falls out, the power is also off. The Pilot never can handle that fast to throw out the propellor under the plane so he can make some basic moves He just cant pull up the plane that fast if that happens It's hydroulic so

I wish that it was that simple to explain a plane crash, but don't base what happened in Canada (a long time ago) with the Dutchland crash. You can't because you have no facts to base it on. Just be patient and we'll know the true outcome, Salim.

That was slighty different, yes it was manually entered as the gauges weren't working but as you said, there was confusion between Kgs and litres/gallons. normally if your gauges aren't working, you fill the wings up to the brim then you know how much is in them. As for the centre tank thats bit different. All im saying is that you can't just go speculating when it only happened about 5 hours ago! You might have your own ideas but they are more than likely incorrect.

I fly the 737 in the uk, unless the fuel sumation unit is disconnected from the tank which measures the fuel level and transmits it to the FMC, the fmc will flash up on the ground before you take off telling you that you don't have enough to reach your destination! I admit that could be a possibility but unlikely. Also there are still people critically ill in hospital so that figure could still yet rise! I suggest you just leave the facts to the experts.

You mean the same which happened in Canada with a 767 of Air Canada? The ground operators loaded ** amount of kilo's instead of gallons.. the Pilot entered Gallons into the cockpit system, so the plane ran out of fuel in midair.. Or wwhat?
