  • I didn't expect transmission whine to be that loud, yes it's an old car but the noise is EPIC, almost louder than the engine it self.

  • the Miura is an absolutre animal.

and you have to treat it as one.

  • I would probably jizz in such a wonderfully loud car! My goodness! =D

  • Beautyfull.............

    Thank you InRodaggio.

  • it may be a nice sound but imagine yourself road tripping 5 hrs. none stop drivig in a car like that ... baaaaaaaa ^^

  • Im tired of the so called ferrari stigma , they are nothing but overpriced overrated hype car's,

    lamborghini are individualistic, and different.

    and deserve better accolade.

  • the Miura has my vote for the most beautiful car ever built, and it sounds as good as it looks

  • SHOW THE CAR!!!

  • beautiful noise, just don't do 4 minutes of footage looking at the steering wheel

  • This engine makes music!!! And the driver have to be a perfect music player to handle this amazing car! Thank you for this video.

  • omg

the best fucking sound on earth

the cry of the engine :O

    incredible

  • the gearbox noise doesnt sound healthy to me..

  • @meedic it is okay. She has a cheap gearbox with a straight teeht design like a truck.

  • ahh, listen to that thing sing! Music to my ears.

  • I love the Miura, My favorite Lambo is and always will be the Countach but i definately love the Miura, Especially in red. Oh also, Did those cars have straight cut gears? sure sounds like it

  • I love the Miura, My favorite Lambo is and always will be the Countach but i definately love the Miura, Especially in red.

  • aaalter.... klingt so als wär in der kiste a

ber auch alles geradeverzahnt! nice ;-)

  • the Miura had an interior that was simple, stylish, dash that was futuritsic,

    and modern looking,

the guages were in that nice looking roundel's and the other guages were in the center pod,

    kinda like a smaller chopper,

    I like the Ghibli's and BB's too,

But a Miura has a panach like no other car,

  • There is no sound in the world like a 4 litre lamborghini V-12,

Nothing in the world like a lambo Miura either,

Hi Guy, Its kirk in kansas,

I hope you can find another Miura like this one,

    A Countach for all it's wild look's,

Still dont have the panache of a Miura,

  • @kirkconway

    Hello Kirk,

you´re absolutely right. Did you see my other Miura video in HD with improved sound. Look for lambo_photo here and on flickr.com

  • @kirkconway

He my Peugeot 604 Gti with excellent PRV Engine sounds much better and its rarer too!

  • Excellent Vid .. But some pressure plate knockback?

  • The howling & whining sound is coming from the transmission...that's how all Lambo Miuras from the sixties and early seventies sounded like!...who needs a stereo system in one of these masterpieces when you have all these symphonies playing to you like music to your ears!....the top supercar for me of all time!!!

  • beautiful

  • It's noisy? More in a mechanical irritating way..

  • No offense mate but the one time you should have risked the engine's health was when that bloody Honda/BMW thing overtook you .... I'd have just floored it and counted the cost later... :D

  • /jealousy

  • i just want to show my appreciation to people, which loves Lambo's like i do. LA BELLISIMA MACHINA. Grettings from Poland

  • Wonderful sound of engine. Noise from gearbox or differential- doesn't matter ;)

  • Dont forget to put 1:100 two stroke Oil API TC into the tank for each fill, because thats good for the carbs and the pistons..modern fuel does not take care of the old engine materials!

  • I would wet my pants if I had the chance to drive one of those.

  • my favorite lambo right there. i would love to be able to have one or just be able to drive one once.

  • Ein im höchsten Maße faszinierendes Fahrzeug, aber dieser hier hört sich nach einem sich anbahnenden Getriebeschaden an.

  • Why in the world would you let it go???

I wouldnt want it to run into people like RM,Or russo ands steele, or barrett jackson,

    totallly arrogant auction guys,

Was it finances or something else?

I mean i know its private but I know how you'd feel after you let it go,

Id feel really down about letting it go,

  • das auto is hässlig

    ( Lamborghini Miura P400 )

  • wonderful car but this video........what does it mean? 4 minutes to watch a hand and a wheel....boh!!!!!!

  • straight-cut gears in a gearbox are ok in racecar, but the sound of the gearbox in this car is so annoying

  • you chould be a shamed any sound from this car is one of the most beutiful sounds in the world.

  • that car is SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

  • Even that noise of the gearbox look gorgeous to me. Awesome car.

  • Schade dass man den V12 nicht mal bei 8000 u/min fauchen hört!

  • :) a time when no one cared for emissions and pollution they must have been the days for cars

  • I'd love to see an Lamborghini Miura vs Ferrari 512bbi side-by-side comparison

  • One day I will own one.

  • Gorgeous sound! True, the gearbox was'nt the best on early Miura's, but the power it put's out more than makes up for it. I drove a '72 Miura SV on the autobahn in Germany, and the clutch & gearbox were great. The added spoiler on the front end solved the front end lift problem. This was THE most incredible car i ever drove: the steering was light and precise, the power was seemless & brutal, and the sound was a glorious sonic assault. If i had the money i'd buy one for sure!

  • This is one of the most sought after supercars in the world, if not THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER!!...current prices range from $250K to $400K, depending on condition.....the Miura is the original supercar of all time, having been produced for the first time in 1966, right up untill 1972.

  • Wonderful car, but look at that driving position!

  • Beautiful car and awespme driver, but clunky gearbox. Those shifts seem really heavy and slow.

I will stick with my early 911S

  • You don't need a fast gearbox when you have a lot of power. The 911 is not without its own issues...lift throttle oversteer for starters. I'm sure the reason he is not slamming gears is out of respect for a car that is worth $100K plus.

  • And Porsche saw it necessary to completely refine the 911s suspension in 1995 along with a host of other things. You can call it style or whatever you like, but the fact is they are tempermental when driven fast. The 928 and 944 series cars were a far superior platform. Much of the new technology in the 911 was developed on the 928...multi valve heads, 4 piston brakes, rear suspension, etc. Still, a Miura is quite a car and I think I could live with the gearbox.

  • Kuhn,

You clearly have a personal problem with my rightful observations about the Muira. You act like it is a car you own and are belligerently proud of. Grow up and quit being so indignant.

As for Porsche refining the 911 in 1995, you can't be serious. Yes, the need for refinements were so pressing and urgent that they finally got around to it 30 yrs later, after a few hundred thousand cars had been built and the 911 had won practically every race in the world with such a poor design. Witzbold

  • Not at all Charley...I'm just amused that you even make the statement that the 911S should even be compared to a car like this. As if your 911S is in some way a superior car to the Miura... I've driven plenty of those 911s you talk about. In the hands of the right driver they are fast cars, but they were based on an archaic design born from the original rear engined VW. Just because your beloved 911 has a cult-like following doesn't mean it's No.1. Yes, 1995 was the year the 993 was born...

  • I think the slow shifting kinda makes it cooler. Kinda like a bolt action rifle. This was like Lamborghini's first good car. I think we can forgive them for a "clunky" transmission. Heck, we are talking about the late 60s and early 70s too. Nobody had gearboxes like today's. Lets just stop slamming cars. They're all amazing and worth it through any of their faults.

  • damn its loud :D

  • I'm gettin a chubby just listening to that gearbox and V12!

  • without doubt

  • Lamborghini early V12's sounds always absolutelu superb. No mather what car is, Islero, Jarama, Espada, Miura, Countach..... NO mather. Always incredible sound.

  • best sound EVER! i think

  • the buzz is the gearbox right?

    engine is superb, gearbox.......

  • This car is the first and original supercar, built from 1966 to 1972...the Miura was built simply for the pleasure of driving, nothing more, nothing less!!...an Italian supercar with no excuses!!...I would LOVE to own one of these, especially the later SV version from 1972.

  • I've recently sold my P400. Seeing this clip has given me major regrets!

  • Did you see my other video: Miura vs. Countach? Probably you´ll like it, too.

  • You had a Miura. And then you sold it?!

What the hell were you thinking!11

    Seriously.

  • I've got a few cars and never got around to really driving it anymore. Prior to it going the last time I drove it was 6 weeks previously in the snow!

I will regret it, but will get another one day

  • @mustard101

Hi Guy; why did yoiu let the miura go guy?

I know it;s not finance's or being squuzed for other thing's,

I was really let down to it it was gone,

you said youd get another one but maybe down the road,

I like jalpas too muscular sounding V-8 roar,

i think ill get a Jalpa and put it on here ok,

tell me what to do to put it on here ok,

    Kirk,

  • @kirkconway

The value of it doubled in the time I had it, and then another car Ive always wanted came up for sale so it had to go.

  • What a sound of a car...... simply 'cantik', Malaysian for beautiful.....

  • My favourite car! Such a beauty!

  • timeless beauty

  • Oh my God... !

    This is simply beautiful...

The sound is made by Gods...

I keep watching this video again and again, and I simply can't stop enjoyng in the sound.

I can't find words to describe it.

    5 stars from me deserved...

  • This is pure man, pure as in no nonsence.

This is raw to the bone, like sportcars have to be.. nowadays theres nothing as pure as this. i love it.

    Greetings,

    Arjan

  • contemporary ferraris are nothing compared to the mid 70's Lambo's,

    The Miura is one thing,

    Pure Unadulterated Mechanical Passion,

  • FANTASTIC!!!

the sound, like I'm sitting there... :)

    beautifull car...

nothing else then 5 stars from me... ;)

  • the gearbox noise is awesome!

  • What does a good example of this car sell for?

  • 350K-400K us

  • your Miura is sooo sweet, the rear end gears howling and the raspyness of the engine,

nothing else comes close to it in looks or sound or design,

  • Did you see me driving against the Countach? The sound is even better.

  • I cant find a ferari that i like as much as a miura or countach,, or urraco, or espada,

theier just differet and Im glad thier not into racing as that wouldove been really hard on the company,

  • hello.where can i find on the internet a video of the miura being driven hard?

  • Don't get me wrong [although I'm sure you will], but except for the moments when he's giving it some boot, I could close my eyes and swear I was riding in an old Freightliner with a Detroit Diesel under the hood! And what a racket from all the gears.

The problem with vintage Lambo's was that they were so unrefined in comparison with contemporary Ferrari's.

That being said, I'd love to have a Miura in my garage.

  • You´re absolutely right with the sound. But I made this movie with a very simple photo camera which only captures the howling sound of the gearbox instead the thundering sound of the engine.

  • @InRodaggio I love this car forever since ever. Best design ever.

is it true that the front would could raise up in the air at not so hight speed because of its plane-wing-desing?

  • @bababacardi

at 160km/h+ front gets lighter which may cause trouble if windy conditions

  • One of the most beautiful cars ever made!!! Sounds great

  • This car´s beauty, I love it!!!

  • you gotta love these old italian sportscars

  • DOES IT GO 320 MPH ON 6 GEAR ?

  • The car only has 5 gears, max. speed < 280km/h

  • Ferraris are Ok if you want racing and story, but lambos are a breed apart and theie engines are really soething, and nothing on this earth sounds or looks like them,

  • That´s true!!

  • if i had my way,?? Id have a miura a espada, a countach, a silouette, it dont get better than this and ferrari can take somer lessons from lamborghini om engine design, and general appeal,

    Bravissimo,

  • lucky mother fucker.....

  • your mother sounds like a truck engine.

  • My mother IS a truck engine!

  • your the same thing dope get off here or someone will make you wish you wernt alive, keep your comments to your self and your mouth too

  • dumb ass yank. I thought you americans were all in favour of freedom of speech, but I guess you missed that lesson in school cos you were humping your sister in your moms trailer!

  • ohh yeah huh. but i bet you would get laid faster with this truck sounding lambo.

  • they don't make cars that sound so good anymore

  • If only he redlined it... It wouldn't be right, but.. To hear that engine..

  • the only problem with the trans is you aren't sitting a few inches away from it like this lucky guy!

  • I made a sex-piss in my pants listening to that.

  • Oh God, I just made a mess...

That must be what Heaven sounds like. Folks say that the Countach is the quntesstial Lambo. I have driven one of the Anniversary cars, and loved it for about 20 minutes. The Miura IS the penta Lambo...

  • Boring nerd.

I bet when its sunny out you like telling people its going to rain

  • Straight.....

PD Awesome video this and the Miura Vs countach!!!

  • One of the most beautiful and intimate cars of all time. "The red line is courage." Viva Italia!

  • I hope you like our other videos as well (Miura vs Countach)

  • perhaps the best looking car ever made.

  • LAMBORGHINI MIURA! One of the Sexist beasts of all time!

  • You´re right!!

  • Love all those mechanocal noises. Never experienced a Miura before for real . . .

  • Great video. :) It seems to be noisy as hell inside but that whining of the transmission(?) gives me some extra chills. :D Reminds me of some race cars which usually has that same "whining" sound too. And for all the people who are complaining that he's not flooring it down and it's slow; Miura isn't slow in any aspect of performance for a car of it's age! And if you'd own one of those, I think that you'd drive it carefully too. Who wants to take a risk of crashing with a car like that? Really??

  • One of the best cars for driving. All the noises are a must and are far away from nowadays cars. In this car a radio/stereo is absolutely useless/obsolete... you won´t hear it!

  • Lucky enough to own and drive several great GT of the 60/70/80es never and I had a chance

to even start a Miura engine ...

I mainly wonder how is the handling - can some

one tell me having driven it ?

  • The Miura vs Countach video may give you a slight impression. Miura is extremely loud, feels enormously quick, looks great, spacy inside. Not comparable to the other Lambos (GT´s). Doesn´t fit if you are taller than 1,75m

  • Its such a shame that the driver does not put his foot down!! Look at my video Maserati Ghibli, Miura and crazy motorcyclist!

  • Hoi Andre,

  • It sounds like a Spitfire!

  • Driving position just a few cm in front of the engine makes you feel like sitting on a canonball.

  • dat wining sounds is fukin awsome

  • oh yes! :D

  • slow ride

  • sounds like a school bus.... nice!!!!!!!!!

  • this is THE freaking dream car!

  • This is my freaking dream car.

  • I'm no auto mechanic but what is that whining/scraping sound as the car is decelerating? I noticed that the windshield wipers aren't down more and out of the way. In such a low-slung car, you don't want anything sticking in your forward vision like that.

  • 1. the whining sound comes from the differential

    2. these cars were not perfect and wipers, mirrors etc. only were fitted to get these cars on the road

  • è bellissima ma cambia il pomello del cambio che non c'entra un c...

  • dog gear?

  • yeah i think so, itd have a dog first

  • One of the finest cars ever = I'd like to hear from you about handling - alas I owned some great sport cars (Merak,Dino and several 911) but never even driven a Lambo = Thx and best wishes=

  • these car did 300k an hour. fuck thats a noisy box. a real car.

  • Actually the best version was geared to top out at 288kph,but over 270kph the front end usually lifted testers said. Autocar drove one to 170mph=274kph in 1970. Lamborghini themselves promised 300kph,an exaggeration.

  • nice gloves= nice car ^^

  • Hey Vilesku:

You are an asswipe. fine art does not have to be "fast" to be appreciated. You sound bitter because you probably cannot even afford a Hyundai, Bitch!

  • very impressive, thank you for showing us this

  • nice vid btw, just a shame you didnt push the revs too hard in a few of the lower gears.

  • 40 yrs old and still the most beautiful car of all time.

  • dats so sik dude, i wnt 1 of those soo bad(so does ne guy haha lol)

  • this is a great car!

  • BEAUTIFUL sound and EXCELLENT footage!!!!! I want a Miura more than life itself.
