@marakachinba: What you meant to say was 'I can't play a lick of guitar (just look at my channel), I didn't watch the video long enough to get to the lesson, I can't form a complete sentence without making a mistake, but I should be excused because of my spot in the gene pool'.
i thin k i've already commented on this but your tone is awesome.. its more distorted tahn the record but it sounds better than chincy non distortion chuck berry.. i havn't listend to the studio verison much so i could be wrong lol
I've been thinking about starting to learn guitar for some years now. Seen some nice clips on youtube but this is my fave right now. I'm sure I'll be checking some of your other clips when I can stop watching/listening to this one.
you hit the nail on the head p57cho this is one of the songs that got me into playing guitar and i haven't looked back yet. Still cant play Jonnie B. Goode like this guy tho
This is my favorite cover out of all of your amazing covers and lessons. I cant believe how great this sounds. If you ask me, chuck berry would have some hard time beating you. BTW, i LOVE gibson guitars, Les Pauls to be specific, but that twangy guitar you have is amazing.
i love the video and this is the best cover of this song can u help mee please i really need it.. you see.. i need to know the distortion or efect o what ever this song use to get thet sound, i have a roland cube 15 pleas chek the amp and tell me what i have to use clean chanel, distortion or overdrive thnakx a lot 12141244124/5 stars
you know i have the fender frontman 65r and its broke, when i push the button for over drive the red led doesnt come on and my guitar stays clean, anyone have any idea on how to fix it?
@CharGuitarGirl - I've done it and it's not an easy fix. Those are cheaply made amps and not easy to service. It's about a two dollar part but will run you about an hour labor if you take it in.
Yea man, I have a 250 R, don't even bother with fixing it.....buy a boss Ds-1 Distortion pedal. It's a little heavy for this, and I use it mostly for Grunge but it was the best $34 I have ever spent. It's cheaper then a repair as well.
@CharGuitarGirl - Glad to hear it, Char. I'm not familiar with new gear. All my amps are old Fender tube amps. I would look for user reviews on Harmony Central. Good luck - you rock!
@CharGuitarGirl Eh, thats a pretty nice amp, I cant say much about Vox's really, but I know you generally can't go wrong with them. Just rather pricey, and btw I have a Fender 212R, 250R's are the strings I run. But my Fender is great, it's only a solid state, but it was only $20 more then the Vox your looking at. It also has 2x12 speakers as oppose to the 1x10 in the Vox as well.
"Nobody rocks like Keith"..as you said, but the joy of music comes through your twangy guitar loud and clear...thanks for so many great videos and happy holidays to you and your family...Dan
I love your covers and could watch them all day but it's these lessons I really look forward to. It gives me something to get my teeth into, keeps me busy till your next post. I'll have to get a bigger ISP plan, I'm using all my download time on your site. LOL
