@SamatranTiger, there is no such thing as an american budgie, budgies are native to australia, so they are all australian budgies! WHY DO AMERICANS THINK THEY CAN JUST GO AROUND CHANGING THE NAMES OF OTHER COUNTRIES NATIVE ANIMALS TO MAKE OTHER PEOPLE THINK THAT THEY ARE FROM AMERICA!!!
Any good owner of Budgerigars (that is, those who have done their research prior to owning these birds) know that they are native to Australia. Unfortunately, They have been termed "American" or "English" to distinguish between the two most common varieties present today.
Therefore, you cannot assume that everyone who calls a budgie 'American" or "English" is referring to them as being native to either of those places or trying to make others believe that.
One more question. What do you keep in the back white bowls that the cage came with? Oh and just one last one :D What color is the cage. Is it just plain white or pure white?
I no longer use those plastic bowls...I now use stainless steel. Plastic is okay for dry food (pellet and seed) but not for water as it can harbour bacteria. Currently, one of his stainless steel dishes is filled with toys and the other is for water. I use small transparent plastic dishes for his dry food.
Next question! The HQ cages I have are both pure white.
@SamatranTiger Thanks! I didnt know about the plastic. Wow. Thanks for telling me. I just got my parakeet yesturday. I use a glass waterbottle along with a dish. But he seems contipated. I cleaned him up. But do you know if theres some kind of food or herb I can give him that will help him get better? Im really worried. And the vets is an hour away and its storming really bad.

I paid approx. $160 CAD ($129.95 US) for this HQ Flight Cage.
However, I just recently purchased another for approx. $155 CAD ($139.95 US) from the same place...The Feather Farm.
