Lashley/Cena was complete shit it was tests of strength the entire match. Victory Road was solid all the way through angle had some great backstage promo the rhino/storm match was very good as was the after match. At the start of your video you said GAB was worse then VR then about 4 minutes in u said it was the other way around.
Truthslayer do you think NWA should join forces with ROH and be called NWA ROH? And if so do you think it will help its success with the name like it did TNA? Since they dropped TNA can they go with ROH?, Or is this not even possible.
I'm just wondering what you thought of the Machine Guns and Briscoes tag match, because I've heard great things on this match, but didn't see it in your top ten? Also, what are you thoughts on Fire Pro Wrestling Returns coming to America?

You are quite glaringly foolish if you think that Joe vs Christian, Storm vs Harris, Lethal Lockdown, and King of The Mountain aren't worthy of any top ten list.
hmmmm Victory Road was great result wise to me XXX reuniting Joe winning the TNA tag team titles were much better than the results at GAB in my opinion. the bash was worse becauswe all the results were tired and nothing happened thats what a payperview is for.
I think Finlay should of been champ instead of Khali and I stand by that because he just got off making Ric Flair tap. Than they could of did a thing with him and Hornswoggle as the champs and it would of been cool. Not to mention he is a good wrestler.
Also I disagree in one thing with you TSlay, I would say that Christian/Joe Destination X could be one of the top 10 matches of the year. I really loved that match.
btw, MVP/Matt Hardy look to be having a TLC match the way Matt Hardy was talking on the last SD! and that would be fuckin' awesome!!
also didn't CM Punk/Raven do a similar post match angle like the one Storm/Rhino did. HA and those idiots, Bill & Doug say ROH is a nice independent promotion when TNA is doing the same kind of angles as them! Fuckin jackasses.

Hey truth, another awesome vid, put speaking of your top 10, ive seen all the matches, on there and i was wondering why isnt the MCMGvsBriscoes from ROH-good ties great memories on there, i personally feel it was better than CenavsUmaga, and Orton/Edge was also better than cena/umaga, in my opinion, because the tag match was more entertaining than any oher tag match ive seen all year, except for the other briscoe ones.
good video a ussal fella. Smackdown in trouble due to the injury list taker rey and edge. Kane and edge could have been a good match in my opion. Personally I felt cena and Lashley was a good match but I wished Lashley turned heal though and maybe have coach as his mouth piece may have been great.

Truthslayer what do you think was the best year for ROH since it began in 2002? In my opinion it's 2005, in terms of the whole package, i.e matches, wrestlers and storylines.
probably why TNA dropped them from their subscriptions 'cause they realizwd they were just wanna-be WWE haters secretly hoping for Vince to get better and using TNA to do it..I mean wow if someeon 'hates' somehting as much as the claim to, why follow it at all!?!?!?even ifyou go to the company's website, you're still giving them the time of day..
I wholeheartedly agree about Matt Hardy's championship run. It needs to mean a lot. Same with Kennedy and CM Punk. They need lots more buildup. What would you think of Mark Henry or Finlay getting the title instead of Khali? I think Finlay could make a great transitional champ.
I laughed when i heard Bill&Doug call someone else biased.I mean these guys are biased on a whole other level.I gotta give WWE fans credit as atleast they will say things that bother them about WWE but bill and doug have never said shit about TNA when we all know TNA is the farthest thing from perfect.
I agree with you, my current TNA MOTY is Harris/Storm Texas Deathmatch, the Harris/Storm KOTM qualifying match was far from good, it got ruined towards the end as well as they actually announced "oh we're making a ten count, if they fail to get up, match is a draw" and Angle and Joe walking onto the scene, for no reason at all.
huh? You're going to take the most over guy on Smackdown, give him the title and then turn him heel? What sense does that make? Who would be there for him to feud with?
The thing is, they wanted a heel to hold the title, so that's why they probably gave it to Khali because he was the only straight heel on the show that could fit holding the belt. Hell yes I would have turned Batista heel, he's done it before, it's not like people would stop buying merchandise, some people like heels more than faces. Don't act like it's a stupid move because it isn't.
The TNA marks were shitting themselves over that. Batista will have the title. But unfortunately you were right, Kahli was the last resort, since he was feuding with Batista. Fucking injuries and talent raids man.
I didn't see victory road, I'm streaming both TNA and WWE and won't buy from them again until they start getting good. Didn't see Victory Road, but I'll ctahc Hard Justice, but GAB, didn't do much for me, Umaga/Jeff was good, I liked MVP/Hardy, and Cena and Lashley exceeded my expectations, Lashley even wrestled a bit. Everybody seemed to love the X-Division Gauntlet.
the thing is, what has been shown this year, both companies can deliver a decent ppv. its just kind of like they dont dedicate and try hard enough to produce a decent ppv every month, when they have the wrestlers and the potential/ability to do it easily
the thing about TNA though is, they are supposed to be this great alternative, the good wrestling on t.v., but then you see the PPV and your all like "what the hell, this was supposed to be awesome".
Great Vid TSlay and I got to say you are not biased ppl that argue that a TNA match should be in the top ten show that they only watch WWE & TNA. I agree with your top ten mostly I might just change the order of some matches.
Harris/Storm was a good match just not IMO good enough to be in my top ten now if I only watched WWE & TNA I would say it would easily be in my top ten but I watch ROH, NOAH, NJPW, AJPW, Hustle, CMLL, & Various Indys as well.
So, in no particular order, what are your top ten matches of 2007?
I just don't get it. Harris/Storm was a very good match on its own, and add to it that it was a fitting blowoff to their feud, and I don't see why you leave it off the list.
no he doesn't my list might have some matches that are on his but in a different order they are IMO the best best matches this year and no TNA match is even close to be on my list. Harris/Storm was very overrated.
What the hell is with everyone on the Matt Hardy bandwagon? He has no mic skills (Smackdown proved it), hardly any wrestling ability (clothsline, bulldog, twist of fag ... yawn), no charisma he isnt anywhere near a mainevent and should never be one.
Are the matches you talking about Edge/Orton to open Raw and MVP/Benoit? Great points on B&D, well done.
Im making the comment because im sick of watching SD with that loser Hardy on it. All he does is get his ass handed to him for 9 minutes then 'out of nowhere' punch x2, clothsline/bulldog and twist of fag. Have you heard his mic skills he said 'bettuh' its 'better' not to mention the constant stutteringand stammering, he is just another overpopular Hardy who has 2 types of fans (fanboys and little girls) who want to see another 'boyhood dream' mainevent storyline.
Just wondering, but with all the main guys either out or moved to Raw from Smackdown, who do you watch the show to see? Outside of MVP and Batista, I guess, there's really no one else to watch, since you're so down on Matt Hardy.
I have seen all 10 of those matches and I would have to say I can't find anywhere to put in the TNA match. But I would probably also chop and change the positions of where you put the matches.
Also I could argue ANOTHER Briscoe brother match (vs Marufuji/Ibushi), but you already have two.
And that Cena/Michaels is ridiculously overrated. It wasnt an hour (there were commercials, and live feedback from the UK said it was more like 30min. It pandered to those who said Cena can't wrestle or WWE has too much storyline. It was fairly boring with the only the false finishes and ring psychology to appreciate (both Michaels could have done with anyone).
WHAT LIVE REPORTS DID YOU READ?!?! The live reports comeing out of the UK as soon as the show was over put the match at 45-50 Min It's why everyone knew that the match went almost an hour before the show aired.
I read it on wikipedia. I'm not some crazy Cena hater but seriously, what did he bring to the table? He missed the legdrop to the back of his head. Esp when there are first-class japanese wrestlers going on their head daily. Danelson/shoizaki was better.
It wasn't 30 minutes, as what was aired on television was clearly 34 minutes, and with 7 to 8 commercial breaks that range in about 2 to 3 minute intervals, that adds up to about an additional 14+ minutes to the match that only the live audience saw. It isn't nearly as overrated as certain matches (Money in the Bank 3).
Hey, Truthslayer I heard you talking about Raven and how emotional his angles are on your last video, and I want to know what you think he should be doing with his career at the moment. I really don't like where TNA is taking the Raven character. This Clockwork Orange task master angle is terrible and although he is injured, they can definitely think of something to do do with him besides him occasionally showing up and caning the members of Serotonin.
Why everyone says "Oh, but this guy feuded with everyone, what is he going to do?! This guy has already feuded with HHH, so he cant feud with him again". Why People? Non of you whined when Austin and The Rock feuded more then one time!
Yeah, Booker did feud with HHH before. But the thing that you miss is that he's been on Smackdown for 2.5 years, at least. His feuded with them all, sans MVP.
Booker hasn't been on Raw for long while, so all the feuds are fresh again on Raw.
Like I said on another comment they should move king Booker back to smackdown. All he is doing on Raw is that stupid king storyline that will lead for him to job to HHH at summerslam. He can also generate the heel type of heat that Edge did and take over the top heel spot for now.
The thing with moving Booker back to Raw is that he's feuded with everyone on Smackdown already. If anyone from Raw had to make the move, even though he has a shitty attitude, I'd move Orton over. The only problem is that he's main eventing on Raw already
I'm sorry but that Lashely and Cena fight was as terribly as the Batista vs. Kali vs Kane match and Hornswoggle winning and Candice still champion worst PPV out of the two just saw Victory Road not that good but dam had more matches to watch like 4 then one so i think Tna won by a nitch, but that isint surprising either.
I thought that, overall, Victory Road was the better show.
Cena/Lashley was a solid match, nicely setting things up for the Wrestlemania rematch. Khali/Kane/Batista was a lot better than I expected, but that's only because I was expecting trash.
To try and say that Cena/Lashley was on the level of is silly
Yo Truth... Word for word... that was rational well supported. YOu didn´t even have to lose your cool. It was something soobvious and true that it suppoorted itself. Great job!
Well Joe is the man but him and Angle are hogging the belts. TripleX is back but Daniels should be getting a push in the main event not X division. What is the point of all those awesome tag teams when one guy has the belts and more time is dedicated to VKM, 3D and the Stieners feud. Storm and Roode I agree with but the Aybss storyline has dragged on too long and AJ is just plain ridiculous right now. Don't get me wrong I like TNA but they are fucking up.
2 - How many of the current TNA fans cared about Triple X? And why did it take this long for TNA to finally decide to use Elix Skipper? Shit, why did they opt to drop the ball on Daniels solid build up to take down Sting? Why is Senshi back to this character that relies on others, after a build up for him being a lone warrior?
1- JOE wanting out of TNA. First off, JOE's contract with TNA is up around April/May of next year, so TNA still is in decent shape to do right by JOE. Secondly, Samoa JOE is set to become one of the hottest commodities on the wrestling circuit, and for the good of his future, it is a good idea to see what his value is, on the market before, hopefully, resigning with TNA. Its a good time to be JOE
Yeah, JOE isn't the champ yet. OK. But, the thing that people aren't seeming to realize is that he's main evented/been in main event almost every PPV since last year's BFG. Monty never had that kind of backing
TNA, like the WCW of the past with Chris Benoit, sees that he wants out and is trying desperately to do right by him in a sloppy and disgusting manner that only further devalues him as a worker by slapping all of this gold on him for no reason. It's a poor ploy, it won't work, and by the time TNA fanboys realize how bad things are in TNA, it'll pretty much be too late for most of that roster (who are begging for outs).
The whole "all the gold" angle is a pretty pointles. But the difference between JOE/Benoit is that WCW was actively holding Benoit down, in booking. Joe's been booked strong, and all that he's missing is the belt.
If anything, you could argue that JOE/Mcguinness is a closer comparison to make
2-Daniels, Skipper, and Senshi are all talented wrestlers who work together well, so they should be able to get over. Elix has Shelton Benjamin Syndrome, Senshi was without an angle ever since the Starr/Aires suspension, and the main event is too crowded for Daniels.
3 - (Re)birth of these tag teams on TNA, and yet the focus of the tag titles is around a two men involved in the main event singles match for the upcoming pay-per-view; and when the focus shifts to the tag division, as a whole, the spotlight is shining mostly on Team 3D, the Steiners and VKM...
VKM is waste of space. People are willing to pay to see Steiners vs. Team 3d, so they need to hype that match. After the match, I don't really see a long feud happening. That way you could use VKM/Team 3d to put over the young teams, like they should be doing.
4 - Classic heels being reborn on TNA - but what defines them as being classic heels over some of the other heels on TNA's programing? And what differs them from the heels on ROH and WWE, as well as on CMLL, AAA, NOAH, Dragon Gate and so forth?
5 - What about the character development outside of TNA that they always ignore, just because it's not on their favorite program?
4-TNA is bringing back the bad guy, the guy you booed when he came to the ring, for example Roode and Storm. Wrestling, as a whole, has gone too much to creating the cool merchandise pushing heel, that I belive the product suffers. IMO, matches come off better when you can tell face vs heel
It doesnt matter what you want based on ability or anything like that. The point is that Kahli is a stronger champion then Kane. Period. And he will be used to give the title back to Batista in a legitimate fashion. If wrestling lived up to my fantasies, my champion would be Gregory Helms, but it's not going to happen right now. It's pretty bad, but there IS an excuse. RAW raiding their talent constantly and all these injuries.
Oh yeah, let's give the title to someone who, for the past year, the only notable name he's beaten is the US Champion, MVP.
Yeah, that makes sense - that adds more credibility to the title than putting on someone who has main event heat, just came out of a feud with Cena, and has been on a non-stop streak of defeating some very notable names.
No one cares about it...yet Bill and Doug had to reference it to try and dispel the image of Truthslayer as being a fair minded, unbiased wrestling fan.
Yeah, that makes perfect sense. Your logic is sound, and undeniable...
It's funny how wannabes like you and truthslayer need to rely on real gurus like bill&doug and wrestleguru1987 to gain credibility. ROH is boring and hell and TNA pwns them in every way imaginable.
Just a reality check - I hold more credibility than Bill, Doug and Guru COMBINED. I don't need those guys to build up my credibility, I had it in spades without their presence simply because I actually watch things beyond just the WWE and TNA, and because I read a lot about this industry.
Also, if TNA "pwns" ROH in every way, why do they require stealing ROH talents?
what are you talking about, he spent about 2 minutes talking about them, and he was not just talking about them, but about TNA fans and other youtubers in general. You lose.
I think my comment got misunderstood. Pretty much all I'm saying is just ignore the idiots. I have no love for those guys. Spending any time talking about how wrong/idiotic those two are is like going on and on on how white white paint is. I really wonder how many of the 10,000 or so views they get per video are people people saying how much they suck.
I think he won when they decided to be hypocrites and do some "personal attacks" on him after a 10 minute vid of bill ranting that he was attacked when in reality Doug was and it was hardly an attack.
Maybe I'm just weird... but if Bill and Doug suck so much, why do people watch them? I saw two of there videos, thats enough for me to never goto there channel again.
Please understand I do not like Bill and Doug, but I just see people making videos saying how much they suck is giving them the attention they so want.
I think people get angry cause not only are they dumb but they thing they are better than everyone cause they have alot of subscribers. They make crazy claims and think in their minds that it is fact. The majority of their subscribers has to be TNA fans who want to hear how great of a company TNA is and how bad WWE is and those biased, hypocrites are the best place to get that.
Bulshit! I saw every match on that bias list of you and Harris/Storm easily better then Cena/Umaga, Edge/Orton and Marufuji/Romero, how can you even compare this awesome storyline of AMW breaking apart to cena/umaga lol,
secondly KOTM was better then cena/umaga and Marufuji/romero both.
I definitely agree that Harris/Storm was better than Marufuji/Romero. The whole no-selling of the knee damage, which was the focus of Marufuji's whole offense for the finish, wrecked the match for me.
You, "sir" are an idiot, and bring up so many debatable opinions, it's not even funny. The Ultimate X match at Victory Road being better than all of the matches at GAB? Please - how easily could that be deflated with a fair and balanced point of view?
you bald peace of shit don't call me an idiot dude you don't know me, if you disagree with me than bring up your points, are you 5 years old? from watching you playing with your toys on your videos I guess you are.
name me one match in GAB that was better then the ultimate-x in Victory Road
and if you can't read since you are 5 years old then read my comment again, I didn't say Ultimate X match at Victory Road was better than ALL of the matches at GAB, I said it was better then ANY of the GAB matches
And the difference between ANY and ALL would be? You left it an open statement against the entire card, so obviously one can perceive it to mean that the Ultimate X match was better than ALL matches on GAB.
Oh, and by all means, feel free to criticize my videos when you actually can film a video yourself, until then, sounds like someone's bitter and no actual argument to back themselves up.
Oh yeah, I know this game - I name a match that was better, and like clock work, you'll state my answer is incorrect and that I'm biased against TNA. Let's see, I could list off what Meltzer said - Cena and Lashley being a **** match, compared to Ultimate X's *** 1/2? Hmmm...yeah, sounds like a fun debate there.
Show me where Meltzer said that because as far as I know his ratings regarding GAB weren't published yet. There is a difference between ALL and ANY check the dictionary.
your videos are o.k sometimes I agree with the stuff you say, still I meant the fact that a grown man(even one that getting bald by the second) playing with toys
I disagree with alot of things you say, but I will agree with you that every wrestling fan is biased. I have commented about this time and time again, yet some people don't get it.
Ah, Bill and Doug just love to spin things and try and make them sound a hell of alot worse than they are. I told my bro (who's a big ROH & International Wrestling fan) about your top 10 and B&D's response and he actually agreed with your assesment, TNA is severly lacking in good quality matches in comparison.
yo man nice vid you know where i can watch some good ROH matches im starting to like them alot, this just was not a good week in wrestling and your thoughts on bill and doug were good
Neither PPV delivered a 4 star match? Watch the fucking opening Ultimate X match at Victory Road. Did you even watch that match?

I agree with you, my current TNA MOTY is Harris/Storm Texas Deathmatch, the Harris/Storm KOTM qualifying match was far from good, it got ruined towards the end as well as they actually announced "oh we're making a ten count, if they fail to get up, match is a draw" and Angle and Joe walking onto the scene, for no reason at all.
IKnowsWrestling 4 years ago
I'd rather have Batista as Champion to be honest, at least he's hugely over with fans and is credible enough. I would have turned him heel, also.
IKnowsWrestling 4 years ago
huh? You're going to take the most over guy on Smackdown, give him the title and then turn him heel? What sense does that make? Who would be there for him to feud with?
Think it through before you send something
scipio2009 4 years ago
The thing is, they wanted a heel to hold the title, so that's why they probably gave it to Khali because he was the only straight heel on the show that could fit holding the belt. Hell yes I would have turned Batista heel, he's done it before, it's not like people would stop buying merchandise, some people like heels more than faces. Don't act like it's a stupid move because it isn't.
IKnowsWrestling 4 years ago
and batista would feud with ... who?
Your still stuck in the same mess.
Batista vs. khali, except now Khali is chasing batista for the belt.
How is that supposed to draw?
scipio2009 4 years ago
I watched a couple of video wires starting from April on ROH's Youtube Account, but I had a relatively hard time telling who was either heel of face.
RocMegamanX 4 years ago

IronSquirrel891 4 years ago
the thing is, what has been shown this year, both companies can deliver a decent ppv. its just kind of like they dont dedicate and try hard enough to produce a decent ppv every month, when they have the wrestlers and the potential/ability to do it easily
alternativegurutna 4 years ago
the thing about TNA though is, they are supposed to be this great alternative, the good wrestling on t.v., but then you see the PPV and your all like "what the hell, this was supposed to be awesome".

good wrestling on TV? The wrestling product on Impact is hardly "good" by any stretch.

Great Vid TSlay and I got to say you are not biased ppl that argue that a TNA match should be in the top ten show that they only watch WWE & TNA. I agree with your top ten mostly I might just change the order of some matches.
rohstyles 4 years ago
all i'm saying is that Storm/Harris should at least be on the list
Cage/JOE was also a very good match
scipio2009 4 years ago
Harris/Storm was a good match just not IMO good enough to be in my top ten now if I only watched WWE & TNA I would say it would easily be in my top ten but I watch ROH, NOAH, NJPW, AJPW, Hustle, CMLL, & Various Indys as well.
rohstyles 4 years ago
So, in no particular order, what are your top ten matches of 2007?
I just don't get it. Harris/Storm was a very good match on its own, and add to it that it was a fitting blowoff to their feud, and I don't see why you leave it off the list.
scipio2009 4 years ago
Go to my profile and you will see my top ten matches of the year.

bongoinc are u retarded???? matt hardy has no wrestling abiity? not charasmatic? by god your stupid
hurricane02227 4 years ago
What the hell is with everyone on the Matt Hardy bandwagon? He has no mic skills (Smackdown proved it), hardly any wrestling ability (clothsline, bulldog, twist of fag ... yawn), no charisma he isnt anywhere near a mainevent and should never be one.
Are the matches you talking about Edge/Orton to open Raw and MVP/Benoit? Great points on B&D, well done.
Bongoinc 4 years ago
I'm guessing someone hasn't watched Smackdown in a while
scipio2009 4 years ago
Im making the comment because im sick of watching SD with that loser Hardy on it. All he does is get his ass handed to him for 9 minutes then 'out of nowhere' punch x2, clothsline/bulldog and twist of fag. Have you heard his mic skills he said 'bettuh' its 'better' not to mention the constant stutteringand stammering, he is just another overpopular Hardy who has 2 types of fans (fanboys and little girls) who want to see another 'boyhood dream' mainevent storyline.
Bongoinc 4 years ago
Just wondering, but with all the main guys either out or moved to Raw from Smackdown, who do you watch the show to see? Outside of MVP and Batista, I guess, there's really no one else to watch, since you're so down on Matt Hardy.
scipio2009 4 years ago
I have seen all 10 of those matches and I would have to say I can't find anywhere to put in the TNA match. But I would probably also chop and change the positions of where you put the matches.

What about the Storm/Harris Texas DM?
Also I could argue ANOTHER Briscoe brother match (vs Marufuji/Ibushi), but you already have two.
And that Cena/Michaels is ridiculously overrated. It wasnt an hour (there were commercials, and live feedback from the UK said it was more like 30min. It pandered to those who said Cena can't wrestle or WWE has too much storyline. It was fairly boring with the only the false finishes and ring psychology to appreciate (both Michaels could have done with anyone).
JustJoelyouassclown 4 years ago
Or Kenta/Morishima from NOAH(I forget the date)
JustJoelyouassclown 4 years ago
WHAT LIVE REPORTS DID YOU READ?!?! The live reports comeing out of the UK as soon as the show was over put the match at 45-50 Min It's why everyone knew that the match went almost an hour before the show aired.
TSlay1974 4 years ago
I read it on wikipedia. I'm not some crazy Cena hater but seriously, what did he bring to the table? He missed the legdrop to the back of his head. Esp when there are first-class japanese wrestlers going on their head daily. Danelson/shoizaki was better.
JustJoelyouassclown 4 years ago
It wasn't 30 minutes, as what was aired on television was clearly 34 minutes, and with 7 to 8 commercial breaks that range in about 2 to 3 minute intervals, that adds up to about an additional 14+ minutes to the match that only the live audience saw. It isn't nearly as overrated as certain matches (Money in the Bank 3).

Hey, Truthslayer I heard you talking about Raven and how emotional his angles are on your last video, and I want to know what you think he should be doing with his career at the moment. I really don't like where TNA is taking the Raven character. This Clockwork Orange task master angle is terrible and although he is injured, they can definitely think of something to do do with him besides him occasionally showing up and caning the members of Serotonin.
reflectionsfade3 4 years ago
With a bit of mic time Kaz/serotonin could become a pretty good angle

Why everyone says "Oh, but this guy feuded with everyone, what is he going to do?! This guy has already feuded with HHH, so he cant feud with him again". Why People? Non of you whined when Austin and The Rock feuded more then one time!
BrokenMikrofone 4 years ago
Yeah, Booker did feud with HHH before. But the thing that you miss is that he's been on Smackdown for 2.5 years, at least. His feuded with them all, sans MVP.
Booker hasn't been on Raw for long while, so all the feuds are fresh again on Raw.
Just picture:
vs Cena
vs HHH
vs HBK
vs Jeff Hardy
vs Lashley
All good feuds

Like I said on another comment they should move king Booker back to smackdown. All he is doing on Raw is that stupid king storyline that will lead for him to job to HHH at summerslam. He can also generate the heel type of heat that Edge did and take over the top heel spot for now.
Kuronji 4 years ago
The thing with moving Booker back to Raw is that he's feuded with everyone on Smackdown already. If anyone from Raw had to make the move, even though he has a shitty attitude, I'd move Orton over. The only problem is that he's main eventing on Raw already
scipio2009 4 years ago
I'm sorry but that Lashely and Cena fight was as terribly as the Batista vs. Kali vs Kane match and Hornswoggle winning and Candice still champion worst PPV out of the two just saw Victory Road not that good but dam had more matches to watch like 4 then one so i think Tna won by a nitch, but that isint surprising either.
WresltingGamer1989 4 years ago
I thought that, overall, Victory Road was the better show.
Cena/Lashley was a solid match, nicely setting things up for the Wrestlemania rematch. Khali/Kane/Batista was a lot better than I expected, but that's only because I was expecting trash.
To try and say that Cena/Lashley was on the level of is silly

1)Samoa JOE is the man! (2:00)
2)The return of Triple X (2:00)
3)The new age of tag team wrestling: XXX,LAX,MCMGs (2:00)
4)The rebirth of the classic heel: James Storm/ Robert Roode (2:00)
5)Character development: EY, Abyss, AJ Styles
etc.
Point is, don't say something thats not true
scipio2009 4 years ago
Well Joe is the man but him and Angle are hogging the belts. TripleX is back but Daniels should be getting a push in the main event not X division. What is the point of all those awesome tag teams when one guy has the belts and more time is dedicated to VKM, 3D and the Stieners feud. Storm and Roode I agree with but the Aybss storyline has dragged on too long and AJ is just plain ridiculous right now. Don't get me wrong I like TNA but they are fucking up.
chp30000 4 years ago
1 - Samoa Joe wanting out of TNA.
2 - How many of the current TNA fans cared about Triple X? And why did it take this long for TNA to finally decide to use Elix Skipper? Shit, why did they opt to drop the ball on Daniels solid build up to take down Sting? Why is Senshi back to this character that relies on others, after a build up for him being a lone warrior?
moralvirus 4 years ago
1- JOE wanting out of TNA. First off, JOE's contract with TNA is up around April/May of next year, so TNA still is in decent shape to do right by JOE. Secondly, Samoa JOE is set to become one of the hottest commodities on the wrestling circuit, and for the good of his future, it is a good idea to see what his value is, on the market before, hopefully, resigning with TNA. Its a good time to be JOE
scipio2009 4 years ago
1 - Joe is being mistreated in the same regards Monty Brown was, and he sees and understands it.
moralvirus 4 years ago
Yeah, JOE isn't the champ yet. OK. But, the thing that people aren't seeming to realize is that he's main evented/been in main event almost every PPV since last year's BFG. Monty never had that kind of backing
scipio2009 4 years ago
TNA, like the WCW of the past with Chris Benoit, sees that he wants out and is trying desperately to do right by him in a sloppy and disgusting manner that only further devalues him as a worker by slapping all of this gold on him for no reason. It's a poor ploy, it won't work, and by the time TNA fanboys realize how bad things are in TNA, it'll pretty much be too late for most of that roster (who are begging for outs).
moralvirus 4 years ago
The whole "all the gold" angle is a pretty pointles. But the difference between JOE/Benoit is that WCW was actively holding Benoit down, in booking. Joe's been booked strong, and all that he's missing is the belt.
If anything, you could argue that JOE/Mcguinness is a closer comparison to make
scipio2009 4 years ago
2-Daniels, Skipper, and Senshi are all talented wrestlers who work together well, so they should be able to get over. Elix has Shelton Benjamin Syndrome, Senshi was without an angle ever since the Starr/Aires suspension, and the main event is too crowded for Daniels.
scipio2009 4 years ago
3 - (Re)birth of these tag teams on TNA, and yet the focus of the tag titles is around a two men involved in the main event singles match for the upcoming pay-per-view; and when the focus shifts to the tag division, as a whole, the spotlight is shining mostly on Team 3D, the Steiners and VKM...
moralvirus 4 years ago
VKM is waste of space. People are willing to pay to see Steiners vs. Team 3d, so they need to hype that match. After the match, I don't really see a long feud happening. That way you could use VKM/Team 3d to put over the young teams, like they should be doing.
scipio2009 4 years ago
4 - Classic heels being reborn on TNA - but what defines them as being classic heels over some of the other heels on TNA's programing? And what differs them from the heels on ROH and WWE, as well as on CMLL, AAA, NOAH, Dragon Gate and so forth?
5 - What about the character development outside of TNA that they always ignore, just because it's not on their favorite program?
moralvirus 4 years ago
4-TNA is bringing back the bad guy, the guy you booed when he came to the ring, for example Roode and Storm. Wrestling, as a whole, has gone too much to creating the cool merchandise pushing heel, that I belive the product suffers. IMO, matches come off better when you can tell face vs heel

calvin8hobbs 4 years ago
who would you give the belt to?
The points for not giving the belt to Batista, Kane, and Hardy appear to be pretty solid.
Unless you cherrypick Lashley, King Booker, or Kennedy from RAW, there really aren't too many other choices
scipio2009 4 years ago
Probaly Kane...still would be a hell of a lot better than Khali.
kenodobi 4 years ago
It doesnt matter what you want based on ability or anything like that. The point is that Kahli is a stronger champion then Kane. Period. And he will be used to give the title back to Batista in a legitimate fashion. If wrestling lived up to my fantasies, my champion would be Gregory Helms, but it's not going to happen right now. It's pretty bad, but there IS an excuse. RAW raiding their talent constantly and all these injuries.
IronSquirrel891 4 years ago
Oh yeah, let's give the title to someone who, for the past year, the only notable name he's beaten is the US Champion, MVP.
Yeah, that makes sense - that adds more credibility to the title than putting on someone who has main event heat, just came out of a feud with Cena, and has been on a non-stop streak of defeating some very notable names.
moralvirus 4 years ago
But Kane's jobbed to pretty much everyone there is worth jobbing to already, on Smackdown

Just a reality check - I hold more credibility than Bill, Doug and Guru COMBINED. I don't need those guys to build up my credibility, I had it in spades without their presence simply because I actually watch things beyond just the WWE and TNA, and because I read a lot about this industry.
Also, if TNA "pwns" ROH in every way, why do they require stealing ROH talents?
moralvirus 4 years ago
They "pwn" ROH because they have a bunch of marks running around saying TNA "pwns" everything with no logic or even facts.

what are you talking about, he spent about 2 minutes talking about them, and he was not just talking about them, but about TNA fans and other youtubers in general. You lose.
dinosauravenger1989 4 years ago
So then, Truthslayer must've won in spades courtesy of their last video, in which they spent so much time on how "wrong" Josh is.
So would this be a fair assessment, that the score, in your mind, is tied at 1 apiece?
moralvirus 4 years ago
I think my comment got misunderstood. Pretty much all I'm saying is just ignore the idiots. I have no love for those guys. Spending any time talking about how wrong/idiotic those two are is like going on and on on how white white paint is. I really wonder how many of the 10,000 or so views they get per video are people people saying how much they suck.

Bulshit! I saw every match on that bias list of you and Harris/Storm easily better then Cena/Umaga, Edge/Orton and Marufuji/Romero, how can you even compare this awesome storyline of AMW breaking apart to cena/umaga lol,
secondly KOTM was better then cena/umaga and Marufuji/romero both.
b515 4 years ago
I definitely agree that Harris/Storm was better than Marufuji/Romero. The whole no-selling of the knee damage, which was the focus of Marufuji's whole offense for the finish, wrecked the match for me.
The other two are debatable.
scipio2009 4 years ago
You, "sir" are an idiot, and bring up so many debatable opinions, it's not even funny. The Ultimate X match at Victory Road being better than all of the matches at GAB? Please - how easily could that be deflated with a fair and balanced point of view?

And the difference between ANY and ALL would be? You left it an open statement against the entire card, so obviously one can perceive it to mean that the Ultimate X match was better than ALL matches on GAB.
