hello Dr, I'm 15 in a couple of months and I've noticed I've develloped this. it's not that big at the moment but it is big enough to be embarresed about it. Im very tall an very fit but it hurts a little when I touch them and when I lye down on grass. My question is once you have this develloping does it just go away or once you have do you need surgery?
@honestlyimbatman its been a month and the swelling has gone down but i still have 4 tiny scars.. I went back to work after 3 weeks, it takes 6,months for full recovery,,, the only pain i felt was stingin after my op, the vest can make u feel a bit of pain for first few days,
My Gynecomastia is not that big, Its just puffy nipples.
Is there any pain during the surgery? and One of the doctor that I went to for advice said that General Anasthesia is much better than applying local Anasthesia because patient feels nothing in General Anasthesia.
Would you Recommend General Anasthesia foe this Procedure.
@Nabeel2good If it is only puffy nipple then local is sufficient for gynecomastia, but most cases have well developed gynecomastia tissue beneath it. Watch video carefully see how to assess pinch thickness in male breast, if thicknes is negligible thn local is gud enough. we use general anesthesia + local tumescent in most cases as we do not only gynecomastia removal but complete chest reshaping. Under local tumescent 4 gynecomastia surgery you sud b ready to accept bigger scar on chest area.

@lakshana2020 If you have office job and no hard manual work it should be at least one or two days. Mild stiffness in muscles you may feel similar to that you get when you start exercise means you dont feel it at rest but feel stiffness when you move upper body, i think i am clear. as such male breast reduction or gynecomastia surgery doesn't affect work much.

recovery from anaesthesia - immediate after surgery, rest- 6 hours, stay in hospital after male breast reduction surgery- 6-8 hours.

I think you have done a great job cos from where I got it done they put a big insertion under the areola which has left a thick swelling. Can that be diminished now?? Its been a long time since that surgery almost 5 years
@need4peace I think some tissue is left there, anyway anything can be said only after seeing you. scar can be reduces to minimum. In male breast reduction surgery we need to see whether some residual glands are there or not . they are major reason of bulk there after gynecomastia surgery
@DrPrabhash but I dont think they are glands. Its like a 1 inch long and 3mm wide tissue where the insertion was made. After seeing your vid I think you make a very minimal insertion which is great!! so plz advise!!
@need4peace i think you dont need male breast surgery now, means your gynecomastia tissue is out and main problem is scar left there. you need scar removal. your scar can be reduced to minimum so that it becomes invisible. please mind- "once a scar always a scar" so you should focus on minimum to no or hidden scar when you are undergoing male breast reduction surgery rather than trying scar removal or correction after that.

Gynecomastia (Male Breast) is turning a common problem in our society specially in 20-30 years age group. we are doing male breasts reduction with chest reshaping. In older days surgery available was only through areolar incision but now most of gynecomastia we are treating with minimally invasive approach only so leaving no scar in nipple area. It has toally changed Gynecomastia Surgery or Male breast reduction treatment. Even small incision at nipple doesn't leave any scar in our hand

ya, getting entire chest reshaped is better than getting only gynecomastia surgery done. now i clearly feel so. after four months and seeing many others like me now i agree, its much better.
