styles make fights and I think against Silva, if he went in, got the takedown and ground and pound, he'd win, Sonnen took Anderson down at will, but Sonnen doesn't have black belt level jiu jitsu like Nate does, so it's interesting

in Pride when Anderson got caught w a flying heel hook I never thought he'd dominate UFC like he has, but his wrestling is not too good, so a strong wrestler w sub defense will win against Anderson, aldo and GSP much harder riddle to solve

if i may make a suggestion - watch the silva fight again. post what you think:

1. during the fight, they aired commercials for silva's next fight against Franklin... that fight was in three months. if silva got knocked out by nate, silva could not fight for 6 months minimum. they assumed ((knew)) silva would win?

2. watch how fast they stand them up. nate is a monster on the ground. as soon as they hit the ground, they get stood up. watch the tito - frank shamrock fight. they are on the ground, doing less, for 5 rounds.

3. silva changed the second he got stood up. watch his face and fighting style. he charged nate out of the corner. silva knew he was in danger and turned it on.

Questions: why did they stand them up so quickly? and why where they advertizing silva's next fight during this fight?

Silva is dangerous on the ground to. In fact the only place he isn't dangerous is when he's in his corner between rounds. Besides, Nate would be the best ambassador for the sport because he,s humble, hes a helluva fighter and he's pretty easy on the eyes. The UFC has no reason not to want him there, in fact, he speaks fluent English and would be a phenomenal representative. I can't speak to the Silva ad you speak of because I don't know what's up there.

Nate is a great guy an incredible fighter and an absolute gentleman as was demonstrated by him pulling his punch on Meya when he was down. He didn't know how bad he was hurt because he was facing the ground. I think ANY other fighter in the ufc would have kept pounding. He's a real credit to the sport. But, I don't agree with your assessment at all.

@zodiacfilms You see I think there are a lot of fights that Dana White "takes" control of.An example is GSP-Shields fight,Shields is a top ground fighter but the entire fight they tried to punch each other.Look at GSP's face at the end and look at Shields - GSP won that by decision (Dana's decision in case).Another example is Sylvia-Couture fight in which Sylvia destroyed Couture but Couture won that by decision too.And I think like to Shields and Sylvia,Dana told Marquardt to lose to Silva
