Snape and Harry were making love in Snape's house. Snape couldn't close his mind when he was with Harry and Voldemort used legillimence on Snape (because Snape was his servant of course) and saw where they were, then attacked them and tortured Harry. Snape was terrified, but he couldn't do anything to save his lover. They barely escaped and when harry lied in the hospital Snape decided to take Harry's memory, because he wanted Harry to be safe.
