Camp David was not a process from which (from a US/Israeli perspective) a viable, independent, free Palestinian state would be formed, but one in which the Palestinians would accept Israeli political, economic, and military domination. Arafat quite rightly rejected this.

The Palestians would have had a state in name (with a flag, an anthem, etc.), but the Palestinian state would be economically and politically subservient to Israel. They would not control their borders or their economy, their country would be divided by Israeli-only roads, and they would have a capital in a suburb of Jerusalem.

absolute nonsense! Iran is not after nuclear weapons but energy. Israel rivalry with Iran dates back many decade well before the Iranian revolution of 1979. Iran becoming a major power will undermine Israel and makes Iran a more attractive partner for US. This is a nightmare scenario for Israel whose existence is fast becoming a liability for US. US has put Iran in a position where she feels she has to support Palestinians because of US unconditional support of Israel and its overzelous aggression. Palestinians throws rocks and they get rocked back with missiles and bombs where thousands of homes and cities get destroyed.
