  • betty wat cheese did u used n how did u melt the cheese down..did u use any other ingredients as well..??pls reply me thank u so much....

  • @CatEyedAtieq666 I melt butter, add flour and stir. Then add milk and Velveeta or cheddar cheese and stir while it cooks over low heat. The complete recipe is there with the video--just click "show more."

  • looks great, posting this on my squidoo cooking blogs for in season vegetables and fruits :) - linda randall

  • You may want to take the 'vegan ' tag off of this video. Cheese isn't vegan. It's very misleading when an actual vegan sees this video and is put under the impression that you are showing how to make a imitation 'cheese'.

I hope this doesn't offend you or anything..just a suggestion. since, I am vegan and I was mislead when i typed in 'vegan recipe' in the search bar and this came up.

  • Hi betty are you single?

  • @keithholden No, I've been married for 40 years!

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen Time for a change then ;)

  • @bettyskitchen wow i thought you were in your 30s

  • @bettyskitchen I thought I detected a Texas accent in your voice but maybe you are from Arkansas since the only way I can see you being married for 40 years is if you got married at 10 years old. ;))

  • I made it tonight.Even my hubby liked it and he usually doesn't like brocolli that much.He said it was too salty as the breadcrumbs were salty already.

  • Thanks for your nice comment! I really appreciate it!

  • I'm gonna cook one brocolli recipe by Alton Brown, tmr for dinner. Its roasted fresh brocolli with oil, garlic and cheese.

  • That sounds good!

  • Grosh!

    You americans steal our food!

  • Hi!

I thought broccoli and cauliflower with cheese was as American as you can get! (Guess I was wrong!)

    --Betty :)

  • I thought this was pretty American! Thanks for your input!

    --Betty :)

  • @blasterowner Grosh?That isn't English.Blame the Dutch Americans! :)

  • surely fresh vegies would be a better option

  • Definitely! I posted this about 4 months ago, when fresh vegetables were not in season here. For most people in the U.S., that means that fresh vegetables are much more expensive! Also, there is the convenience factor that is important to a lot of people--They just won't try the vegetable if it has to be washed, peeled, cut up, etc. So, I made the judgment call to use frozen. For you, I would suggest fresh, because that is what you obviously prefer. Thanks for your comment!

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen I think frozen is just as nutritious! you can't always have fresh veggies around!

  • Nowadays, vegetables are "quick-frozen," so I don't think they lose many of their nutrients through freezing. I would rather have frozen than none--and there are some things you can't just buy fresh all year around!

  • I agree! I thought this was an american dish????? lols

  • I thought it was *totally* American!
