  • Woww ....

i really like all of your video ..

could you please play jake e lee's verison of Mr Crowley ??

it must be great if you try...

  • @neo69hk

    thank you so much bro.

Jake was a beast..but what version are you speaking of?

  • This is awesome dude!!!

    What effects did you use?

  • @MrNachoplaza

    thanks man!

Live I use what Randy would use..the mxrs. Here I used a Line 6 HD150 & tweaked the sound to match his as close as possible. It would be hard to list all the parameters in the effects. Basically it's chorus/EQ a slight delay & some reverb in post. If you look up randy live gear you can really match his tone pretty easily. His playing that's another thing.

    cheers

  • Just like RR!!!!!! Great job my fellow brother of metal !!!!!!!!

  • @MrMynameisozzy

    thanks so much brother!

  • you'll never be good until you learn to play the space in between

  • This is possibly my all time favorite Ozzy song, and you bang, nailed it.

    Way to go!

  • sharon said Randy Rhoads was the most beautiful man she had ever seen.

  • Absolutely awesome!

  • @xlr8n99

    thank you!

  • your faithful reproduction of Maestro Randy's playing actually brought tears to my eyes and for a moment i felt he was still alive and playing!!!!

  • @salmonfire

damn..thank you so much man. That means a lot to me!

  • put the pick down... \m/

  • Nice job mate. Know how hard Randy's stuff is.Just workin on "SATO" at moment!! You play any others? Din!

  • @Dinner1966

Hey man..thanks! S.A.T.O..is fun to play also. I know 90% of all of Ozzy songs..as I play in OzzBorn THE Ozzy Tribute Band & we Tour a lot. Great guitarists to pay tribute to. Especially Jake & Randy.

  • awsome tone dude!! whats in your rig?

  • @karlozglz

thx man! For this video & most of mine..I used a Line 6 Spider 4 hd 150 & the cabinet with the Vintage 30 celestions. I customized a Randy Tone on there. They really are great for emulating tones to record. Sadly in a live situation the cymbals wash that digital signal out. So Live I use Marshall & then I use the same pedals randy used/only a 6 band EQ in place of his 10. You can find his Rig specs online. cheers

  • @ZxE73 Hey brothr I just watched your video. And allI can say is you nailed this song like a nail getting hammered through Iron. You actualy inspired me to pick up my guitar. And for me life has been difficult lately, as Im sure it has been for lots of folks out there. You REALLY made my week! Thank you

  • @madnbad666

Thank you so much bro for your kind words.

I'm glad to know my playing Randys masterpiece helped inpire you to pick up your guitar again & help you for a moment to feel a little lighter.

Remember that music WILL heal & get you through anything.

I hope life has some goodness for you right around the corner.

    cheers

  • Great cover!and awesome tone!

  • Shredder, man. Well done!

  • @nduchene1

  • what a great song and what a great cover! as always - killer job!!

  • you nailed it great job! this tune really brings back memories

  • @MrSonnyboy64

    Thank you!

    It does for me too.

  • @bradyrulez123 so true Randy Rhodes was the inspiration that made me want to learn to play guitar after I heard the riffs he was playing in Centre of Eternity from Blizzard of Oz and Diary of a madman

  • @Qrimsinn

    Agreed.

He is the measure for metal/rock guitarists.

btw.."Journey to the Centre of Eternity" is Jak e lee on guitar bro.

  • @ZxE73 really? I always thought that was randy since you know he did most of the crazy train album cuz I've always thought jake e lee didnt come in till bark at the moon or the ultimate sin can't remember which came first

  • @Qrimsinn

"Journey to the Centre of Eternity" is on the "Bark at the Moon" album.

"Crazy Train" the song is on "Blizzard of Ozz".

  • @ZxE73 Oh yeah I must have been thinking of a differnet song instead of jorney to the centre of eternity

  • there will never be another randy rhodes he was the best

  • @bradyrulez123

    Absolutely.

  • make one take

  • @brunoloko21

  • @D3stroyer891

    thank you!

  • A true metal classic!

Listening to this always brings back really great memories for me, with the exception of the day I got the news that Randy had died. I was only 11 yrs. old, but already a huge Ozzy Osbourne and Randy Rhoads fan. Fk sake! I even had Randys hair.. lolz.

Just realized; the anniversary of Randys death comes up in 2 weeks (March 19th)

    Still can't believe he's gone. ;'( ....... RIP Randy

@ ZxE73 Nice work man! Thanks for posting it.

  • @rezeve69

    I feel you.

There are some songs & this one included that just takes you back instantly.

Getting to play it on stage is an entirely new level of Respect & connection to him & his playing.

When I went down to his grave in 08 & met his sister..I lost it & couldn't mumble but a few words.

She looks so much like him.

I will be going back next year for the 30th!!..ugh.

Thank you for watching & sharing your story.

    Respect

  • @rezeve69 i love Randy Rhodes hes my favorite .

  • A truly great heavy metal classic. Always brings back a lot of really great memories when I hear this. I still can't Randy's gone :'(

The anniversary of his passing comes up in 2 weeks....
