Because the Church shouldn't run the goverment. If it did then we'd be blowing up countries because god told up too. If we didn't have science then we'd be dieing of god's diseases. After all, he created everything. Religon is for the home, not the schools. Religion gives people hope but science keeps us moving forward.

They wanted Christian principles to remain in government to prevent it from becoming corrupted.....oh well. 80%+ of the branches of modern science were begun by Christians to study God's creation & the sanitary laws of Leviticus are credited with ending the plagues that killed millions in Europe. Darwinism is a religion as is Atheism. Real science should not be restricted to supporting these beliefs
Evolution is the back bone of modern biology and a demonstrable reality as well. We have gained so much nolage from evolution that it helps us in our everyday life.

I used to struggle with the contridictions I saw in the laws of science and the theory of evolution. Evolution is scientifically and mathematically impossible. Once you ponder this for yourself, you will see that you have been spoon fed a lie from the time you were a child. Of course you believe your teachers, but unfortunately they were only telling you something they hadn't bother to study for themselves. 2009 New Scientist reports the Darwinian tree of life "lies in tatters, torn to pieces by an onslaught of negative evidence."
"Punctuated Equilibrium" is the theory that there is NO FOSSIL EVIDENCE because Darwinism happpened too quickly to leave evidence to be found
