  • that no slamming or dropping the weights rule is stupid at every gym, because i work till im fatigued there is no way in hell i can put the weight back down gently the rule should be no excessive slamming of weights or exageratted slamming of weights

  • i couldn't recover from that much volume in my best days man, not natural at least. And the music is typical of the gyms in most places where I just have to block it out or wear earphones, hardly a hardcore or even moderate core atmosphere. You just have to bring it in your head, and Jay racks his own weights, what a stud.

  • @travisk100 you know why they do that? Notice he trains in an empty gym at a time where it's not busy. They drop the weights like that at the end of a set because it uses unnecessary energy to place weights therefor slowly exhausting yourself from using energy to use other muscles to place the weights down carefully. He is not there to make salad sandwiches, he is there to be the best he can be. Any edge is an advantage in competitive sports. :)

  • @Rynish Beyond failure, he is pulling it off the dumbbell rack and then dropping it. Somehow I think pulling a dumbbell off a rack doesn't qualify as failure in any gym in the world. Failure or not, you don't drop weights from heights onto the floor, whether its your first time or you are Mr Olympia, but I guess you will never understand that.

  • @MrNutritionking Genetics are the be all, and end all in bodybuiding. When Jay was working construction as a teen, everyone was asking him where he worked out.....and he didn't. He grew from working construction. He had the biggest legs anyone had ever seen on a kid at his first couple shows because he has freaky genetics for legs and they grew fast. Being skinny, doesn't mean you don't have tons of genetic potential. Some guys just explode when they start lifting.

  • @rep300 Construction??? I'm a fan but i'd like to know what kind of construction job would truely make a persons body grow speacially as a whole. I've had some pretty hard construction jobs...pipe insulateing dry wall and more and still had to go to the gym and eat lots to grow even just a little.

  • @johnplayersstandard In regards to the construction, I just meant when he was really young, before he even wanted to be a bodybuilder. I think he started training at 16 or something like that. You can find old footage of him at his first few shows and he just dominated. He was the biggest kid most people had ever seen. Just look at the fact that he won the Nationals and turned pro at 23. That's crazy genetics.

    There was some polish men trying to do strongest manc competition when they were doing the bench press it was shameful they were arching there backs so much. We disqualified there attempts because it was not a proper bench press they were mad but ah well

Sports performers like that it shows them room for improvement in their performance so they can perform better next time.
