lol the scenes are played out to be parodies of very cheesy stuff on purpose, so as silly as they are, they're really not meant to be taken seriously thus making it more enjoyable. It's a shame that you can't exactly play it (due to parental issues), because I must say that it's one of the most fun and entertaining action games I've played. :)

@Shisafire Well if you're into hack/slash games like God of War, Devil May Cry, Dante's Inferno or other similar games, then I'm sure you'll find Bayonetta to be very enjoyable. There can be provocative stuff in Bayonetta, but not to the point of going overboard. It's just poking fun at the idea which doesn't make it obnoxious rather it's entertaining and comedic (which is the intention). But yes, the action and intensity of the game is great, at times you can practically feel the adrenaline. :)
