(Continued from previous post)... I hope the statement in the details section is meant to be sarcastic. This NOT the way an expert would handle a rattle snake. An expert would not be standing in a pit with rattle snakes crawling around, in front of a bunch of spectators, taking unnecessary risks, pushing on a snake's venom glands to milk venom & show off its fangs for no other reason than to entertain people. It's a sad practice that will unfortunately go on as long as people pay for it.
There is nothing to indicate that he actually got bit. If he did get bit on camera it happened to fast to be seen. Also, after the supposed 'bite' when he brings the snake back up, there is a close up shot of his hand & there is no evidence of a bite (granted it would be hard to see). I think the most compelling thing to indicate he probably DIDN'T get bit was the fact that he shows NO reaction. He just stands around as though nothing has happened. Not something even "experts" would do.

I laugh at guys like this and a lot of other guys on you tube who handle poisonous snakes - Everybody thinks they're a movie star, a snake expert or Bill Haast(R.I.P). - It will only be a matter of time and have the serum on hand. I have seen someone on their death bed who was bit by a mojave green - not fun and guts + idiocy = moron. The more you handle them the greater the odds - good luck in hell!
This man was bitten as soon as he loses is grip on the snakes head. In a fraction of a second the snake turns back on him and thats when he catches the fang. This quick little bite sent him to the hospital.
Maybe the fact that most people have never seen a real snake bite has influenced some individuals and caused them to believe that as in most movies a snake bites like a fat man sinking his teeth into an apple with a long savory pause. In reality most snake bites happen in a fraction of a second. Just like the quickdraw artist on TV who can draw his revolver then shoot, hit the target and put it back in the holster so fast that it has to be slowed down to see it. And 1 fang bite is a bite.

@MetallicAsian They collecting thousands of rattle snakes and they do milk them. But non of i is used for antivenom. They don't refrigerate the venom so all the venom they milk is useless -_-

I know I'm not the only one against Rattlesnake Round-ups. Hope this area becomes Rat infested sooner than later, then maybe all the rounders will wish they had Rattlesnakes once again. These creatures are driven out by pouring gasoline down cracks and crevasses of rock formations, never wanting anything to do with humans.
He could have not wasted that venom should have given to the lab for free so they can make an anti-venom whenever someone gets bitten by a rattle snake the doctors will be able to cure the person.

Every year, gasoline is poured into rattlesnake dens by people collecting them for roundups. Not only does this harm the snakes, but it pours poison into the ground which affects countless other wildlife. It worst part is that it hasn't been made illegal yet! Texas Parks and wildlife is deciding on the issue now.
If you think rattlesnake roundups are wrong (which they are)... get involved and talk to your local politicians! Roundups like this one harm wild populations of snakes that eat pests like rodents which can spread disease to humans. Venom takes lots of energy to produce... snakes would rather save it for their prey than use it on some dumbass who thinks he's doing the world a favour by killing or disturbing it.
why did it bite him? well he was pissing it off, and he was holding its mouth open, and squirting its one defense mechanism out like its nothing, oh yaeh and this "Snake Expert" should try to take teeth out of a lion while its awake, and piss on it's babies to make sure its not going to bite him

no, but he's wasting its valuable venom which can instead be used to make anti venom. The venon is not as useful in captive habitads since they dont have to hunt as much. they get fed. out in the wild a poison without venom would have a hard time surviving as it takes a lot of proteins for its body to produce it.

My comment is based on the statistical fact that the majority of people bitten are male, between the ages 17 to 27, have alcohol in their system, and got bit trying to pick up the snake. It is also partly based on my belief that it is dumb to pick up a venomous snake. If you think it is smart to pick up a venomous snake that does not bother me. If you think I know nothing that does not bother me either because I know you're wrong. I have no interest in calling people names.
Most people who get bitten by rattlesnakes are people who try to pick them up. Statistically they are also mostly male, usually in their twenties, and often alcohol is involved. I can tell what is not involved in this, the frontal cortex of their brain (probably due to alcohol and testosterone). But perhaps I shouldn't complain since people like this have helped my father earn money as a surgeon, in turn, putting me through college. Go, pick up more rattlesnakes!

no, but he's wasting its valuable venom which can instead be used to make anti venom. The venon is not as useful in captive habitads since they dont have to hunt as much. they get fed. out in the wild a poison without venom would have a hard time surviving as it takes a lot of proteins for its body to produce it.

My comment is based on the statistical fact that the majority of people bitten are male, between the ages 17 to 27, have alcohol in their system, and got bit trying to pick up the snake. It is also partly based on my belief that it is dumb to pick up a venomous snake. If you think it is smart to pick up a venomous snake that does not bother me. If you think I know nothing that does not bother me either because I know you're wrong. I have no interest in calling people names.

Most people who get bitten by rattlesnakes are people who try to pick them up. Statistically they are also mostly male, usually in their twenties, and often alcohol is involved. I can tell what is not involved in this, the frontal cortex of their brain (probably due to alcohol and testosterone). But perhaps I shouldn't complain since people like this have helped my father earn money as a surgeon, in turn, putting me through college. Go, pick up more rattlesnakes!

The guy in this video actually did get bitten. When he lost his grip it happened it just happened so fast that you can't see it. We were there when it was filmed and the guy was taken to the hospital after his performance.
