as far as my knowledge goes all the gods have given their powers to lord vigneshwar acording to vedas.there are only two forms of god which was taken by him in urgency.the gajendra mocham to save and elephant and narashimha avatar to save guru prahaladha maharaj.so this itself shows god comes to rescue for any kind of living being.
