Roy Williams was decent in his prime, he was a solid hitter/tackler, but his coverage ability was horrendous. I personally like Gerald Sensabaugh way more than I ever liked Roy Williams, Sensabaugh can cover and still make hard hits.

hes just not as bad as you all say. hes getting worse, but sorry to break it to you guys. he can tackle. he can cover [hes just not good] he just has no chance against guys like santana moss. hes like a linebacker playing safety. you dont start in the nfl because of popularity, these contracts in the NFL are year to year-even though they say "long term" and im done arguing. espicially with a 20 yr old who listens to elton john and is telling me about sports. tell me about butt plugs faggot.

Catches everything thrown to him? If that was true, we would have beaten the Giants in the playoffs. He dropped a key pass. Ellis is good, but he's old and he complains. He whined when Parcells turned him into a linebacker. He whined when they drafted Spencer, he whined when Spencer started getting more reps. Quit whining and just play! And Thomas is good Yeah when he plays in a 4-3 with Big DT's swallowing blockers. Too bad we've got a 3-4. Why don't u stop getting ur stats from Madden 09?

No, you aren't biased. There is no way Roy Williams is better than Ed Reed. I watch Roy get burned in pass coverage every week, but some of these stupid Cowboy fans say, "Well uh, he's a big hitter." Like that nullifies everything and makes him the best safety in the game. Being a big hitter is great, but in the NFL, as a safety, you gotta be able to cover and tackle, and he can do neither. Haha, he can only tackle someone if the person doesn't see him coming.

Ed Reed on the other hand is one of the best safeties playing. He can cover like a corner, has hands better than most receivers, and you pretty much can't throw the ball within the same area code as Ed or it will be picked. He may not be a big hitter, but he finds some way to get you down on the ground. He a great safety and future HOF, while Roy is not. And whoever disagrees with this is either stupid or in denial.

ed reed isnt necessarily Sean Taylor when it comes 2 knockin somebody's block off but i've seen Ed Reed knock off a couple of blocks before, otherwise i agree with pretty much everything u say, and no it wasnt jus cowboy fans who said tht lol jus cowboy fans and Cane-haters tht refused to acknowledge that Ed Reed is a Beast.

i wouldnt say hes a GREAT safety. but hes not as bad as you say. hes in the nfl, and has something like...5 PRO BOWLS. Id say he can cover and tackle alot better than what you say. just your opinion though.

Hahahahahahahaha. OMG, I just had a great laugh reading your last two comments. I could care less about the Pro Bowl b/c just b/c you're in the Pro Bowl doesn't mean you're the best at your position. Not saying all, but some of the voting is based on popularity. Prime example, RIvers had a great year throwing 34 TDs and 11 ints, but he wasn't voted in. As for covering, anyone on this page will tell you he can't cover. I watch a lot of Dallas games, and he gets burned repeatedly.

As for making 10X my income, haha, it's probably a lot more than that, and there are plenty of players that make lots of money in the NFL that aren't any good. Thus the term 1st round bust. Haha, that argument really doesn't help your defense at all. I mean I thought he was good his rookie year, but he has declined sense then. I mean Dallas fans don't even want him anymore. No, the Pro Bowl does mean something, but it doesn't mean everything. Remember it's not football experts who are voting on this. It's fans that are voting, and there's a possibility that some might be biased. And I don't hate the guy, he actually seems like a nice guy off camera. I also didn't say he was a first round bust. I was just saying they're people making lots of money that aren't good.

As for the money thing, there are plenty of people who suck or haven't played a down in the NFL, and they make a lot of money. Roy Williams can only hit, which doesn't to much good once the receivers run past him. Ed Reed is soooo much better than Roy. i agree that roy has been burned, but not as much as people make him out to be. also, he's been playing with safeties like keith davis(who is a ST ace), tony dixon and lynn scott. he is playing with hamlin know, who is a poor mans brian dawkins. i hope we keep roy. he'll have to restructure his contract to stay because he'll count 6 million towards the cap.

you know roy would have to gain 20 to 25 more pounds right to play ILB in a 3-4. roy was doing fine in his first two games before he went out. i think hamlin sucked when roy was lost. roy is gonna be a pro bowl player next year.
tell me this troy, how many times has roy gotten beat deep for a TD. i think can 3 times over his entire career at most. the moss game(2nd TD) and desean jackson this past year, even though adam jones just let jackson run by him...
