Being a diver myself, I know how fit, resilient and brave they must be as ice divers and how dangerous it is, Such a tragedy and a loss for the world. I served on the Healy from '02-'06 and left only about a month before the tragedy. I considered both of them very close friends and when I learned of the tragedy it hit me very hard. Going to two very close friends funerals in less than a week will always be remembered as one of the hardest things I've had to do in my entire life.
