@matroid9 two. One is to use a very complex series of Shinesparks (as mentioned in the video) after unlocking the red doors but before getting Diffusion Missiles. The second is the Ice Missile trick you jut saw.

If you re-enter the Navigation Room after pulling off this trick and seeing the message, the Computer will ask the usual question: "Confirm mission objective?" If you pick "No" there will be a very small, but sort of funny sequence. =)

@Kunzile The action replay wasn't what I used to get there, but it was what helped, because the actual way back the same way was to run instead of jump, and hit the second level fish while running the missle to the target.

@Sentinel2k1 Its REALLY hard to get from the 4th security room to the Nav room without the Diffusion missile. You're expected to do a LOT of Shinesparks. Anyway, the point is, Renpou (The Federation) wants to tell Samus about something, probably the continuation of the Metroid Breeding Program from Other M (Which SA-X deals with later), but Adam stops them. Constantly. Whether this is BECAUSE the computer has Adam's brain or because it has yet to use it Im not sure. Actually, if you talk...

@Sentinel2k1 To Adam again and say you don't need the objective confirmed, Renpou tries to tell Samus again, but again Adam douches out and stops him. Still not sure what the "plan is, but due to the cutscenes earlier and later on I assume its the Metroid Breeding Program II.

Yes, you will still get the message. The shinespark Adam mentions is the trick you're supposed to do to get there (as opposed to the one used in this video), not the shinespark at the end.

Weird thing on my game (PAL version). When I get back at the navigation room with this trick, the computer asks me "Repeat instructions ?" and I have to answer "yes" to have the secret message. If I say no, the mysterious guy says "Samus, about the plan I told you..." then the comp says "Samus, get back on your mission immediatly !", then again the guy "...". Why does that happen ?

Also, if I'm right you still have to get the diffusion upgrade to continue the game ?

I like this way, because it shows that players can be more ingenious than the designers, and can come up with things that the designers didn't realize that you could do. It's a game of who can outsmart who.

@stalhein61 The thing is, the secret message mentions the shinespark method, which is another method to get there and have the message displayed. What's in this video is an alternate method to get the same message even though another route was used to get there. Which means the player outsmarts the designer for coming up with a new method to get there that the designers weren't aware of.

Difusion is the upgrade to your ice missile.

You can charge your ice missile, and when fired it'll freeze everything on the whole screen.

The message comes from a secret message from the sector AQUA part of the game. You had to preserve a shinespark for a LONG period of time and then use it where otherwise, unuseably.
