Ironically, pretty much every single argument below this post is moot, because these guys were US Navy Officers Candidates (at Navy OCS), not Marine recruits.
Why cant we all just appreciate all the branches instead of bashing them. In the end, we all serve yhe sane purpose. Pride does not have to involve so much ego.
lmao @ you all. the marines are only worshipped by those outside of the military. once you have to train and live on the same base as them, they start to annoy you. they take forever to learn a simple concept. a marine just finished his 4 years and joined the army in our unit, he would tell us about how bad he hated the marines corp, and how much stupid people were in it. he said he was glad he changed branches.

@Fo0dman It was an example of what I see every day and definitely from what I've seen in the past. Unlike the ARMY you can go to ANY Marine base and see a fine example of the Corps. @TGxHITMANx: For Real...I can't stand that Marine Corps is better than the Army because we all have the same Goal and that's Fighting for our Nation. I Joined the Marine Corps in 1999 and spend 6 Proud Years in but I respect any man or woman who has the Motivation to Join Uncle Sam's Finest No Matter what Branch it is. I'm Biased at times and Love My Beloved Marine Corps but thats just Rivalry type stuff with Mutual Respect but Punks like this saying Marines are Better than Army is a Chickenhawk

will you ever be right? i just wrote the facts. simple as that. last month we had a football game and we kicked the marines ass. we beat them at almost everything we do. the only thing they beat us in is how is the most retarded. the marines are only worshiped outside of the military. most ppl think they are some elite group of ppl, but the truth is they are just like any other branch, except the other branches have higher standards.
fine example? lmao. all marines are really slow in the head and drink even on duty. i remember at fort lee, there was at least 20 marines hiding in a small forestation that we were going through, and they all were drinking . must have been 9 in the morning. all in uniform. you guys have no discipline. give it a break pal and just admit you wish you joined the army.
