  • Thank you so much for posting, this was a great coaster. I can remember waiting to ride and watching the track as the train passed by and the track would move sideways by almost 6-12 inches as the train went around the curve. They said it was designed to do that, I don't know.

But it was a great coaster.

  • @SirFelix377 yea i remember that i agree with you i dont think it was suppose to do that. But thats why this coaster was so scary you never knew if it was going to fall apart

  • @mike34redsox its designed to that because the wood would crack and snap if it didn't have any give to it.

I also remember feeling the same way - i would always think about it falling apart while i was on it

  • This was my first rollercoaster. I went on it when I was 5 and I was speechless afterwords...and I've been hooked ever since! RIP Whalom

  • i know you all have fond memories of this coaster andi understand that but its not a big surprise theme parks like this bite the dust when there main attraction is a roller coaster that small. yes i know its charming and i'm not a fan of parks closing but you gotta stay with the times regardless of your business, such is life i guess

  • what happened to whalom park?

  • long since gone!!!! the whole place is nothing but a big field!!

  • i meant y is it gone lol thats ok but i want to know

  • @jimmydcap Someone said its going condo and they are finally starting to build them now,I think.

  • @HattieLovesCattie a channel called georgef551 has a video showing what it looks like now

  • @413hey Thanks,I looked it up and it shows the new condos being built. They look nice.

  • I did more miles on this coaster then you could possible imagine... just saying.

  • Wow man... this almost brought a tear to my eye, I have those same exact images in my childhood memories, thanks for the video

  • I miss this place. You won't find me at that commercialized theme park out in western Ma! Long live Whalom Park!

  • haha i like how you dont even use the term six flags, which is by the way long into bankruptcy as it deserves to be.

  • I went in 1999. Never knew about this park. Went on a date there. Never saw the girl again.

  • I loved this coaster! The black hole was the best part!

    memories...

  • I loved that coaster!

  • everytime i rode this i thought i might die, best roller coaster ever!

  • @mrp0ttymouth yeah, me too when i was a kid. it didn't stop me from going again and again though.
