  • 2:05 he is getting it ready to karate chop it

  • do you have to do this after every run?

  • can I do the same with dirt and water

  • y not use a freaking air compressor and blow it off! just wasted 20 bucks for air !?!

  • @MiniMorris97 20 bucks he only used 2 cans

  • @MiniMorris97 its only 2 bucks a can or for some of the best one its 8 bucks for a pack of 2 not freakin 20 bucks and plus its his money so why u worrying about it let him spend his money how he wants it

  • you should make one on nitro cars

  • can u help me make one

  • so,make sure you use 20 dollars worth of canned air to get snow off the water proof truck, shake out all the grime on the counter, then wipe it up with the same towel that you continue to wipe the truck off with,,........got it

  • @cleaner11000 yea thats the ticket...

  • @cleaner11000 20 dollaars he didnt even use that much

  • Great vid I'm new at rc and it'll be a big help

  • @Hardcoreslash thanks much

  • One tip..... DONT SHAKE CANNED AIR IT MAKES THE FREEZING CONDENSATION COME OUT.

  • @jay338wsfd at times yes, but shaking is required

  • Nice background

  • Just wondering, can't you just leave it on top of a trash can or sink and let the snow melt and drp out? Instead of doing all of this?

  • okay just to add to this video :

#1 remove all TIRES from the rc

    set them aside

Get wd40 in those area where the tires go you would be suprised how fast TRAXXAS RUST

  • a hair brush well the brush to remove hair from your neck that comes in clipper set is so perfect to remove big chunks of snow also. small tip =)

  • whats the safe below -0C temperature to use outside?

i just had a problem either my vxl esc or the brushless motor.

sometimes cant reverse then cant go forward but can reverse then all is fine etc.

sent a email to told them at -10c i had a prob yadi yada.

Traxxas reply's :First lets address the -10c issue. Thats just not right! I have

seen some strange results when batteries and electronics get that

cold. Reallly??? i live in canada gona be -35C all winter What the F? so am i stuck inside?

  • try using a hairdryer and then use wd 40

  • On my rc I use wd-40 on small moving parts but can I take the straw off and spray over the whole car to kinda get everything but not a heavy coat....

  • Great Vid. All the air cans ive ever used say not to shake the can. Causes internal chemical reaction which makes the can get cold quicker with less air power. Not sure if the cans you are using say the same. Great vid though

  • Un coup sous la douche avec de l'eau tiède et en 2sec il n'y a plus de neige !

  • @Ms13WhiteDeath boujour québequoi

  • you are the most helpful people on youtube about rc's

  • @FreshKicksTV a agree

  • hello there rcnightmare im a huge ! huge ! huge fan of yours and i have watched every video of yours!! i love you guys soo much!!!1

and im a fan of rc cars. so christmas is coming up so i decided to get a car !

i thought i should get the summmit because i live in thailand where it is hot but the it dirt couses and motorcross tracks so me and my best friend would drive there! i also live right next to a beach and ive seen people drive on the beachand i just wanted to know what should i buy

    ?

  • and i also wanted to know what terrain i would be able to drive on!

im 12 years old and i have experience in driving rc and go karts!

i wont have alot of money but i can afford the big summit and have a bit more change left :)

  • thats a dust blower u got there? for computers? it works? how much u got it for?

  • is it important with the magnum force 2?

  • could you use a blow dry to dry off the water or snow

  • a clean car is a happy car!

  • air compressor is fine as long as u turn down the pressure on it i have a small craftsman and it works just fine i clean mine up after mudding dirt driving and snow and i never had a problem and yes i do use wd 40 on it by the way canned air will make u go broke cleaning up the rc's lol

  • @ironeagle2526 ") good stuff!

  • @ironeagle2526 what helps controlling the pressure is getting one of those small-mouthed air sprayer bits, you can get em at walmart for under $5. As for the canned air, i save it for cleaning electronics

  • Do u like the summit

  • @gtadude24245 hells yea

  • dont shake caned air!!

  • canned air is so wasteful, i cant believe people still haven't come up with a a better idea that is reusable...makes me disappointed

  • @butty41 well an air compressor but thats even worse.....

  • I just throw my slash into the sink, and I just run the water all over it to clear all the snow, dirt, and slush. It's already wet anyway so it's quicker. Then I dry the heavy stuff off and I use the hair dryer!

  • Is that the wd-40 will leave marks on the frame?

  • @slash4x4lipo You should really use a motor cleaner, I just use it to keep the rust off areas.....it didn't leave any marks though..

  • Would wd40 b good on the engine??

  • got any motor lubricant tips for my waterproof mamba monster motor? like i know you can see the bearing at the rear of the motor, what should i use to keep it nice and smooth moving? thanks larry.

  • @Bloomhighschool Dude timely post, I just waterproofed mine tonight and installed! What type if isues are you having that normal cleaning wont prevent? Do you use that mootor cleaner stuff? That worked pretty good

  • @rcnightmare actually havent had any problems yet, i do exactly what you show in video, i havnet got any rust yet, just curious at the end of the motor, does that sometimes need to be greasted or oiled up to keep it running smoothly? other than that, i should use wd40 to keep every moving part smooth right?

  • @Bloomhighschool I would maybe grab some of that mootor cleaner stuff...

  • can you one about dirt and mud

  • @blabloomoo for sure...just need the snow to melt :) Sping is maybe just a few weeks a way and you can bet this thing will be muddy..,.just put the monster in today....

  • My RC drift star has water damage but i cant see it and its not responding to the controller how can i fix this.

  • @lucasspeeder take it apart one piece at a time and test it...first the reciever...then the esc etc..

  • i just got my summit today how long should i charge the stock batteries for at 5.5 wats?

  • @scubasteve728 until fully charged?

  • @rcnightmare how long should i charge the batteries for?

  • wd 40 pen works great for hitting all the tight spots.

  • @MrJsv650 hey, thanks for the tip! Ill have to look for one of those.

  • is there any way to make the summit shocks stiffer?

  • @scubasteve728 heavier shock oil

  • my summit will be in tomorrow i am sooo exciteddd

  • @scubasteve728 you should be, its super awesome, and loads of fun

  • I ruined a brushed motor with wd40 . I won't use it again. Sorry to be a PAIN !! I I'd like to see some winter bashing !! I love running my aftershock in the snow !!

  • @1nfld not a pain at all, its good for people to hear about it and know the risks they might be getting into. I think its just best to stick with what your most comfortable with :)

  • I ruined a brushed motor with wd40 . I won't use it again. Sorry to be a PAIN !!

  • @1nfld Not being a pain at all. Yes, care needs to be taken when spraying near electronics that arn't waterproofed. ;-}

  • to each their own but WD-40 has been used for Years with cleaning/protecting kits and as an "after-run" for nitro engines

  • Great vid, looks like your getting more comfortable with every vid ;-}

  • @Sport66Fury thats for the kind words, yea Ive got a long way to go but its good to hear they are looking a little better...

  • Great tips

  • @RCNEWStv thanks much!

  • Also don't spray silicon oil under your servos or servo saver, u will CURSE that day a long time. It will not turn as good as it turned without silicon oil.

  • dude my area of wisconsin that i live in just got POUNDED with snow its my e-revos heaven!!!

  • @jrevoman yea man..Im in the falls area...super burried

  • @rcnightmare im in g-town man!!

  • @jrevoman lol gotta meet up and race sometime

  • @rcnightmare yeah i go to this one track in rubicon in the summer called mark and lois mini ancres

  • @rcnightmare todaY WAS LIKE RC UPLAOD DAY!!! u,squarrel, jetlag, and a few other of my rc channel subs uplOaded a total of 18 rc vids today!!!!lol!!

  • just remember do not spray wd40 into motor or it will die

  • I myself would not use WD-40 it can do more harm than good. I would use Moo-slick which makes a film on all of the parts or your car, and protects against water, rust, and many other things. Give it a try it's worth every penny!

  • @jtc817 yea thanks for the tip, I think I will have to check that out...haven't had much problems with wd-40 but its always better to use the stuff made for rc's when you can

  • just throw it in the bathtub, rinse it off with warm water, dry it how ever you want to (compressed air or just air dry), then use a little wd-40 or some bearing oil and youre good to go. only takes about 5 mins.

  • @kylea1985 well....thats one way of doing it..that is if your RC's is fully waterproof....nice easy way for stock traxxas stuff though.
