  • To all NASCAR fans watching this video, I'm a NASCAR fan and wasn't offended. Why? Because he's being sarcastic! Stop trying to defend NASCAR, and just learn to take a joke like a good American can! Geez!

  • Just watching a bunch of cars driving around is something we can easily do on the street. What's professional about auto racing is their crashes seem more beautiful.

  • RIP Dan Weldon. George Carlin was the first thing that came to mind when I heard about this.

  • 31 people are Dan Weldon.

  • love the first line

  • That's why The Final Destination was so bad-ass, I think of this man when I watch the scene where there was a 20 race car pile up on the track and many people got killed.

  • NASCAR is for brainless rednecks that where a shirt that says same shit different day.

  • @getalife67 They might be "brainless" but they might also know the difference between "where" and "wear".

  • At least it's only about NASCAR!

  • @HeyYoKillEmo Indy Car does oval racing, too you know. For all we know, he could be referring to Indy Car.

  • hahaha!

    thats just so funny :D

  • HAHAHA George Carlin a funny American who makes sense. So true i watch NASCAR for the crashes and burns, everything else is just boring straight and 2 left turns.

  • He's a true monster.

  • @18sux29rox mad

  • R.I.P. George Carlin, we love you

  • 27 people ran around with their hair on fire punching themselves in the head

  • Only a small portion of auto racing takes place on ovals. Most of them are either run on road courses with a lot of turns or on rally courses in a variety of enviornments.

I do agree that watching the crashes is probably the most exciting part of auto racing though.

  • Watch Final Destination

  • says Fillmore

    (that would have been hilarious)

  • REDNECK JACKOFFS DRIVING 500 MILES IN A CIRCLE!!!! C'mon Nascar lovers, this guy should be your ambassador !!

  • @chuchu2301 too bad he's dead

  • That's why I like Formula 1

  • fuck the lame ass people arguing through the comments.

  • @hahalol38 yeah FUCK YOU hahalol38

  • I love nascar and this made me laugh my ass off because Carlin was a comedic genius, unlike you faggots in the comments section...

  • Auto racing is stressful not physical, and the only reason I might watch is to hear about new developments in technology. Most of which doesn't transcend into a American consumer automobile, that's why they're a piece of shit(except Corvette and Mustang).

  • @methunshow

    first part: wrong

  • not as good without the video D:

  • "children can do that, for christ's sake!"

no, they can't race. this statement alone represents how ignorant 99% of people are when it comes to auto racing. a lot of people think that because they can drive a car, they can be a winning racing driver. that's like saying "hey, I can walk...so, that means I can win the Boston Marathon!" ...idiots....

  • @JosephCote27

"This statement alone represents how ignorant 99% of people are when it comes to to auto racing."

Sorry, pal, but this statement represents how ignorant YOU are. Number 1, he is clearly being sarcastic. Children cannot drive. Number 2, he is a comedian. You know. Comedians. They stand up and tell JOKES. They make fun of things for laughs. Especially George Carlin, no one was safe from him. Lighten up and take it for what is. Listen to @KKfan9, he has the right idea.

  • @MackDaddyOnTheTrack

dumbass. it's obvious he's being sarcastic. a child could literally not do that. and OH MY! GEORGE CARLIN IS A COMEDIAN?!?!?! I HAD NO FUCKING CLUE!!!!! obviously he does. it's just this sort of idea/thinking that seems to pervade the thought of auto racing and because of this, the athletes in the sport, along with most everyone in the sport, gets little respect for what they do. meanwhile, some douchehole who can toss a ball is looked at as a god. THAT is a joke.

  • @JosephCote27

    facepalm.jpg

If you understand those comments, why the are you making it an ordeal on a George Carlin video, then? Last time I checked NASCAR makes a lot of money because of its huge fan base. Drivers generally make 7 digit salaries, some 8 digit. Getting paid millions of dollars to perform, sounds like you have earned more than a "little" respect. You're crying over nothing. Now go tell your friends that some douchebag doesn't respect NASCAR on Youtube, and you owned him.

  • @MackDaddyOnTheTrack

yea, I'm not talking about NASCAR. I'm talking about racing in general. I'm personally not a fan of NASCAR for reason too long to be listed here. but I've come across people that have the balls to call me non-athletic because "all I do is sit in a seat and turn a wheel". so, it's a nerve that was touched on. way to be a youtube douche. was it necessary that you had to respond to my original post?

  • @JosephCote27

Was it necessary? Was it necessary for you to post your first comment? If you answer yes to that question, than the same for my response.

  • @MackDaddyOnTheTrack

I felt it was something I wanted to express. a thought originating from myself due to personal experiences. you decided to just be an ass and talk shit to me. you're just now being belligerent.

  • @JosephCote27

What you did was more of a rant than an expression. Regardless, I am sure you are aware of your freedom of expression as I am as well. Any expression you state publicly is open for rebuttal. As for the talking shit part, it takes one to know one, pal. You called 99% of people ignorant. At least I provided some sort of insight for you. Dude, just lighten up and take this video as a joke. Your comment would have been appropriate on a video that was SERIOUSLY attacking auto racing.

  • @MackDaddyOnTheTrack

a rant is a form of expression, last I checked. what insight did you provide for me? you obviously don't get what insight I was providing for people. as far as the 99% thing, it was a generalization, obviously. you're now just playing games with words. 99% of all the people in the world don't view racing this way. besides, I wasn't attacking a specific person like you were when you replied to me.

  • @JosephCote27

Oh dear lord....I told you to take it as a joke and clearly you still are having trouble with that.

  • @MackDaddyOnTheTrack

    please keep responding

  • @JosephCote27

    please keep responding

  • @MackDaddyOnTheTrack NASCAR is RUBBISH!!!

  • @MackDaddyOnTheTrack This Comedian is a yank right? why is he dissin yanky motorsport? hahaha he aint being sarcastic you plum!!! I thought this was hilarious!!

  • @chuchu2301

    Go kill yourself.

  • @JosephCote27 theres NOTHING but driving in auto racing. your doing nothing but sitting in a car.

  • @ThePsychoticScyth396

I'm not going to feed the troll. as a racing driver myself, I'm very aware of what it takes to pilot a racing vehicle around a track at speeds for sustained periods of time. it's much more physical than most mainstream sports. it's kind of like saying "I can climb a flight of stairs, so there must be nothing to climbing Mount Everest!" I'm not responding to anything else this, or other, troll(s) will say except say that anyone who says racing isn't hard, is wrong. fact.

  • @JosephCote27 Your post might be taken more seriously if you didn't force replacing the word "drive" with "pilot". It comes off as desperate and irritatingly disingenuous.

  • @JosephCote27 I've driven several different tiers of racing vehicles on a track. Sure it can get hard after awhile but considering how well built the vehicles are now it's easy as fuck to handle it. Physical? I think you mean mental, because that's all it is. It's mentally exhausting maintaining your concentration for that extended period of time and one mistake can fuck it all up, you could wreck and die. Which is Carlin's point, that's the only part that's interesting, rest is boring.

  • @Weezer220

I really doubt you've driven a vehicle on track, then. only 30 minutes flogging a shifter kart will tell you otherwise if you think racing isn't physical. yes, there's a mental side to it, but your body has to be able to put up with the physical strain of driving a vehicle at the limit.

  • @JosephCote27 Most people put up a similar if not more physical workday than driving a fucking car in vicious conditions. Yes it's not like just rolling around your local streets or highways at a breezy pace, but it's nothing compared to the day of a mill worker, or some lazy ass construction workers. You can always gloat about how racing is more physical than working in a cubicle I suppose. Good luck with that.

  • @Weezer220

again, if these are your thoughts, I seriously doubt you've driven a proper racing vehicle on track, let alone done a stint in an endurance race. suck one.

  • @JosephCote27 If you're implying that you can't appreciate pro car racin' unless you've actually done it, then you can probably figure out why it might get a little negative feedback for being overrated.

  • @tyler0896

true, but I like your response to rockerduff1231...it got a true "lol" from me.

  • @JosephCote27 Yeah, you said that already. If I said the same to you it would mean as much. Try actually presenting an argument like I have. It's not physically demanding on the level of a Pro athlete of any sport, besides its own. Mental exhaustion can lead to physical weariness, you should rest that tiny brain of yours for the track, yeah?

  • @Weezer220

I have presented a proper "argument". your tiny brain has chosen to ignore it and pretend that racing isn't physically exhausting. go do 20 consecutive laps in a shifter kart on a 100+ degree day around a tight kart track at speed (if you can even manage that), then you'll see how tiring it is. till then, you really have nothing to say.

  • @JosephCote27 Yeah, In my first message, I said I've driven plenty to know just what it's like. Your argument is.. "No, you never have." So my argument to you is.. "You're a twat". Being in a hot car sweating is not HORRIBLY PHYSICAL, it's an uncomfortable situation that sucks. You say it like its so hard an astronaut could barely pull it off. You should just call me a twat now, its pretty much how your last response went to repeat and rinse other things that have been said.

  • @Weezer220

I read that. I find it hard to believe since you seem so adamant in your belief that racing isn't physical. you probably are full of shit about it, but if you have actually driven a racing vehicle, I don't believe it was anything worthwhile. a skip barber car, or spec miata, or SCCA improved touring car isn't difficult to drive, but when you get in vehicle that can pull over 2-3 g's, you're doing some work. and you definitely are a twat.

  • @JosephCote27 I don't weigh much, I never felt that many G's, you may have if your in the upward of 200lbs I guess. Believe it. Real work is more physical than Racing buddy. Racing is a hobby, its a leisure activity that can be done competitively and be mentally draining like most sports. It's not a full body workout. If it really wears you out, you need to hit the gym.

  • @Weezer220

yea, I weigh 160lbs. and I suppose that's why any pro racing driver just sits around in the off time just waiting for the next race, rather than tirelessly training to make sure they're in peak condition for their job, right? go troll somewhere else. if you believe this, you've never done any sort of racing on a road course for any extended amount of time.

  • @Weezer220 buddy driving 500 miles in a circle in a unconditioned nascar is physically draining fuckhead oh and imagine how wornout your arms and knee would be from shifting and clutching

  • @MyGta123 I'll try to imagine it really hard. Oh wait, nope... that was lunch. Sorry, I usually only feel worn out and need to rest my arms and legs after a day of real work. Walking end to end in a glass plant, going from extreme cold to extreme hot as you approach furnaces, the kind of heat that makes you puke the second it hits you, and then you've got to just keep working, you don't go rest after that. Racing is the middle of the road, exhaustion, compared to actual physical labor.

  • @JosephCote27

I totally respect what it takes for a driver to complete a race; I'm sure it tears your nerves to shreds. But I feel that not all sports are spectator sports. I feel the same way about soccer. It takes a lot of talent, but I think it's boring as hell. From my view, it's kicking a ball around for hours just to score a few goals, but I don't believe for a second that I could get out there and do it. It's all one's personal opinion.

  • nascar is a waste of gas!

  • have you ever been to a nascar event now

  • @tyler0896 I love this video. I don't know what you're talking about.

  • @tyler0896 I still don't know what you're talking about.

  • @tyler0896 whoa take a chill pill? those 82 just agree with em, and dont want to waste their retyping what he said to prove it...

  • @tyler0896 nah your just some idiot who's mom had her period so you didnt wanna fuck her that week so now your angry at everyone

  • @tyler0896 cocaine is one hell of a drug

  • @tyler0896 You're such an idiot...

  • @tyler0896 Haha, I like the way you think of a situation completely backwards and act accordingly. It somehow reminds me of the Joker from The Dark Knight.

  • @tyler0896 lllooooolll you sound like cartman :3

  • @tyler0896 So you're going to censor people just because you don't agree with them? Wow, George would be the first to knock the shit outta you!

  • @tyler0896 It really is a shame that such a person would be the one to upload a Carlin video. Why don't you just ignore the comments and go watch your friends down at Fox News.

  • @tyler0896 You're one weird fuck. Terrible quality, btw.

  • @tyler0896 tyler, jordant, todd and TUCKERRRRRRR...on the right of ur screen

  • @tyler0896

    u mad?

  • @tyler0896

    the hell are you on?

  • @tyler0896 WIN! seriously tho, end Nascar.

  • @tyler0896 lol i have a car with a v8 so i obviously dont give a fuck about gas....but the fact is that these dumbass 'races' have these cars just going in circles...retarded waste of gas u know? F1 racing at least has turns :)

  • @tyler0896 You agree with his comment, so you're going to delete it? And what do 'liberal and euro hippies' have to do with anything? I find it interesting that someone with your kind of attitude finds himself in possession of a George Carlin video.

  • @tyler0896 hahah god im so glad im not you. you must be real stupid in the head

  • @tyler0896 What the fuck is wrong with you?

  • @tyler0896 You're one weird dude.

  • @rockerduff1231 wow the guy who upload this vid is a bit of a douche aint he?

  • @MultiUsername45 yeah he's a real knucklehead

  • I'm a HUGE NASCAR fan. You would think I would be offended right? HELL NO! This was freakin hilarious! I can laugh at myself sometimes, saying "I really do watch these jackoffs drive 500 miles in a circle". I wanna see a car doing a 200MPH cartwheel! lmao. George Carlin is the king :]

  • @KKFan9 I like how you try to show everyone how tolerant you are of alternate NASCAR opinions x]

  • @Llawliet246 That's what hey are man, OPINIONS lol. Everyones got their own and I don't hate on their own opinions. The best part is that I can laugh at myself for watching cars drive in circles :]

  • CantWaitUntil2012

good comment but i liked your user name more,

    for obvious reasons

  • He's simply a dead grumpy moron who never knew what the shit that came out of his mouth meant...

  • @alexce100 I have to agree.

  • Rally is the best. i love F1 sound and its sound too. Nascar is too long, and not much variety in actions, imho.

  • @joe51498 Once Nascar was cool though.

The Superbirds, Torino Talladegas, Charger Daytonas, and Co. were advanced cars for their time, and really fast.

But they dumbed it down for decades now.

  • My sentiments exactly.

  • @Youtubian1790 you sir have good point, but people like to pay to see the best of the best that why there are professional sports leagues, and associations, the world is a very complex and unfair place,

  • I agree NASCAR is like watching flys fuck. However there are different types of auto racing that are entertainful and require intelligence. Building a 10 second car in your garage from the ground up is no easy task.

  • Ahhh. I love NASCAR as much as the next guy, but dude this was hilarious. I love George Carlin and unlike most of the people with their panties in a bunch, I CAN laugh at things that make fun of the stuff I like. I can laugh at myself folks. It's all in good fun. Love NASCAR, love George Carlin. Great video

  • If you don't like George, Fuck Off =)

  • Racing is very physically demanding. I would love you see you morons go 500 miles at any race track. Racing and hockey require the most skill so blow me.

  • @TimCaine1994 "Racing and hockey require the most skill" you have not explored the world of sports my friend. Try a martial art sometime.

  • @jmjcjudojack lol That shit is way easier.

  • @jmjcjudojack Martial arts? I am a black belt in the ancient American martial art of Smith & Wesson, perhaps we could get together and spar sometime?

  • @colourmegone I just do Judo in upstate NY.

  • @jmjcjudojack martial arts isn't a mainstream sport.....name anybody in martial arts making 15 million/year ? when was the last time you watched mixed martial arts on a major tv network ?? Mixed martial arts as a spectator sport isnt close to football, basketball, baseball, hockey or even Boxing.

  • @TimCaine1994 Golf is pretty tough too.

  • @TimCaine1994 racing riquires no physical strenghth or endurance on the other hand hockey requires the most endurance skill coordanation and strength of any sport in the world MORE THAN FOOTBALL!!!! AND YES IM CANADIAN

  • @lemonpankakes21 Glad you feel me on the Hockey thing. If you were in NASCAR you wouldn't make it the entire race bud. You would get out of your car you would go to bed.... After you take a long piss.

  • @lemonpankakes21 race car drivers require a lot of enduarnce...they can lose up to 12 pounds during the course of a race..im not a racing fan....but it is exhausting driving a race car that fast for that long with the gear you have on

Hockey players play for 30 seconds...go to the bench and rest ..they also have intermissions where they can rest and get something to eat..use the washroom..whatever they need..race car drivers are stuck in that car for 2.5 hrs

  • Auto racing takes strength and endurance. Children cannot do it.

  • @eldorado61guy 15 year old kid could if he could drive(oval tracks i mean)

  • @lemonpankakes21 Yes, It's a funny bit. Maybe a Child could do it though it does take endurance and strength.

  • and thats why I watch nascar hahahaha

  • Hah, this guy's funny!!

...though his views on Auto Racing are NOT TRUE! : )

  • Honestly .. thats what I am after on these drag racing shit .. chix come in 2nd place

  • LOL turn on the Transcribe Audio on this Video freaking amazing

  • LOL i love the Nascar bashing :P

  • @frankisfunny2007 I'm sorry. I was too busy noticing your grammar and spelling errors. What did you say?

  • Comment removed

  • @CaptRH You're a fag. Carlin is hilarious and brilliant.

  • @CaptRH

    U SUCK EVEN HARDER!

  • lmfao exactly why im not into NASCAR!!

Fuck the assholes getting paid to drive fast in circles. They better start crashing and get blown into pieces for it to actually be exciting.

  • So you want them to die?

  • No, just saying thats virtually the only way for it to be exciting to me. Technically I dont care about the sport at all lol Dead/Alive, I dont care.

  • @cheese2507 yes the assholes have too much money and emitting co2's, plus they take the risk they know they may die going in cars that fast.

  • Emitting CO2? I thought the science about that was debunked recently. And because they are overpaid? Sounds like class welfare to me. I'm guessing that you are from Europe, right?

  • no, but my heart is in europe lol. if u dont believe in the co2 theory we are still overexpending and producing, look at how we are reducing the population of the fish in the sea for example. who knows what effect no fish etc more species will have on evolution and the earths health.

  • haha he is my hero, anybody notice he just over-talked a heckler at 0:40 ??

  • Funniest comedian ever........EVER. Bill Cosby, Don Rickles, Rodney Dangerfield, Lenny Bruce, and Jonathan Winters are also sitting up on the Mt. Olympus of Comedy....

  • carlin was a god when it came to profanity. just the way he says "fuck" - it's poetry.

  • You mean everyone has the same amount of money, cause that's communism?

  • this is about NASCAR. other racing is good. George was a genius to the fullest extent of the word

  • No he's just a practiced rhetoric.

  • N.on A.thletic S.port C.entered A.round R.eckneds

  • fucking great nice one lol ive never saw that one before. going to have to use that

  • @AGoodUserName1 You'd be surprised how fit you have to be. Even the racers agrue that fact, its kind of hard to sit in a 115 degree car, cramped in one spot doing the same thing for 3 hours while pulling in excess of over 1 g turns is not something that the average joe could handle easily.

  • I did this as a kid all the time.

  • nascar =- rednecks

  • They're making a left turn!

And they're making another left turn!

  • I swear I was thinking that when I watched this!

    Jeff Dunham!

It's the best sport to watch when you're hammered. They're making a left turn. They're making another left turn. Wonder what they'll do next.

  • i wonder whats gonna happen next

come back in 10 minutes u aint gonna miss a fucking thing

  • i wanna see a 200 mph cartwheel YEAAAAaa!!!!!

  • This is why we watch NASCAR...

  • "23 Car Collision"-That's the closest one I know, that's whay I put the 2002 Aaron's 499 (24 Cars total).

  • I'd watch Nascar if two cars started on opposite ends of the track and ran into EACH OTHER at 500 mph.

  • I'd watch that. I'd also watch baseball if they made it an automatic homerun when the batter smacks a ball and hits someone on the defensive line. Automatic grand slam if it's a groin shot!

  • I think that baseball would be better if the batter was allowed to keep the bat with him when he runs around the bases. I'm sure it would come in handy.

  • LOL, that would be awesome!

  • red neck jackoffs

  • hell ya i hate fucking NASCAR racing it pointless and its on FOX almost every sunday keep that shit of my TV same go for a golf is not a sport its pointless mindless game

  • He's right. Racing is pointless. The only thing entertaining about it is the crashes and explosions. Exciting Fun Stuff!

  • @moahoah Actually, I really like cars and driving, discovering roads and scenery and having a moment where I actually have freedom. In that respect I only enjoy watching rally racing because the settings are awesome, there is no repetitiveness. Other than that sort of racing, I admit there is no appeal at all. e.g. formula one, nascar etc etc... just round and round and round, all for the sake of advertizing for the elite to generate lots of money for themselves...I say boycott the shit

  • @moahoah And ball games have the purpose of what exactly ?!

    .

    What sport isn't pointless ?!

    .

Auto racing, when it was real auto racing, used to create and/or improve technology witch would go into production cars.

  • @darkoneforce2 Soccer, baseball, football etc are popular for a reason. People by nature are physically competitive if not inherently violent, and ever since we became civilized we've needed an outlet for all that pent-up energy. I wouldn't call racing per se "pointless", but when someone does I know what they're getting at.

  • @tyler0896

Things weren't any different in motorsport, and some motorsport series are also popular (for a reason).

    .

The difference is motorsport brought benefits to the automotive industry; in the early days they went hand in hand and were connected. In doing so the motorsport/ auto and suppliers industry changed the industrial/economical shape of countries.

    .

The same cannot be said for any other sport.

What's more motorsport was deadly, and the old drivers were modern gladiators.

  • Comment removed

  • @tyler0896 HOCKEY BABY!

  • @tyler0896 NOT VIOLENT? Don't make me laugh.

  • @tyler0896 That explains the part about doing sports, not the part about watching them.

  • @tyler0896 Civilized?! haha dont kid yourself man....

  • @darkoneforce2 if ur good enuff at a sport u can make millions of cash, have women beggin u to fuck the daylights outta them, everyone bends ova backwards for u cos ur famous, u get VIP treatment everywhere. or if ur not so good at a sport that u cant make a living from it u still mite enjoy it....yes people enjoy sport!,it get ur lazy ass off the soffa and the pizza outta ur mouth and gets a bit of adrenalin pumpin.ur a cunt by the way

  • @tomlennon1000 I played football since I was a kid, besides handball and basketball, but my point was an entirely different one (and I don't have a fat ass).

Major sports are not major because of helping children and adults with their fitness.

They're simply entertainment and pointless; but I still watch Champions League and F1.

Purposeful sports (towards fitness) are the ones played in schools/high schools/colleges .

  • @darkoneforce2 mixed martial arts is the only sport that has any point. I will talk shit to any football or baseball player in the world. what they gonna do, dunk on me? get a first down? but there will never be a time when fighting isnt useful for defending your family or yourself from being jumped, mugged, or beaten up. I guess sport shooting too, cause thyere may be times you have to defend yourself with a gun...

  • @alexce100 lol and the overzealous mma fan comes out of the wood work, I appreciate mma as well. but saying its the only sport that has a point? come on dude, its just entertainment, thats all sports are, thats why mma is an art, but it also lands in entertainment sports. If someone pulls a gun on you and you dont have one yourself, an armbar isnt going to save your life. your going to get mugged your going to get your shit stolen, some things we have no control over, we are only human
