@KaoGreenStar Actually, George Washington was relatively kind to his slave -- he wasn't uber-nice or anything, but he certainly wasn'tcruel. In fact, he even put in his will that his slaves be freed when he died.

The chronology in this episode doesn't correspond with the previous episode, "Green Mountain Boys." In that episode, James and Sarah accompany Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold in their assault on Fort Ticonderoga, which took place on May 10, 1775, but in this episode they are in Philadelphia on that same date.
