so is the name of the music halling? cuz what i know is that the you do the "halling" dance with this music.. or do i know it wrong?.. but ive to say this is AMAZING! can somebody give me band or person names that who are doing this music?
haha.. never heard that on a cello before.. it didn't really sound anything like Halling. (i live in Hallingdal, Norway, so i'm a Halling, or Hallingdøl). it's supposed to be played on a Norwegian "hardingfele" its very similar to the violin, though with eight or nine strings and thinner wood. The earliest known example of the hardingfele is from 1651, made by Ole Jonsen Jaastad in Hardanger, Norway. (copyed a littlebit from wikipedia there, since i'm no expert myself..)
Hi! that's a really great tune...have u got the sheet music? I'd really like to get it...don't worry if it's for cello, viola or whatever else...thank you! Bye!
