(10) Does Islam tatally forbids dancing especially during dhikr? Here is the hadith sahih:
Ja‘far met Rasulullah, kissed his forehead and embraced him (after conquest of Khaybar). Then he said: “I don't know of which of the two things I am the most delighted about; the conquest of Khaybar, or the return of Ja‘far.”Then he said to Ja‘far: “You resemble me in both my manners and physical characteristics." Upon hearing this, Ja‘far danced , and the Prophet did not censure him for his dancing.
(9) Does Islam totally forbids dancing at all in dhikr? Here is the hadith sahih:
Narration of Ahmad in his Musnad, and al-Maqdisi with sound narrators from the hadith of Anas that said: “Once, the Abyssinians were dancing in front Rasulullah, saying in their language: ‘Muhammad is a righteous servant.’He said: “What are they saying?” It was said: “[They are saying] Muhammad is a righteous servant.” When he saw them in that state, he did not censure them. Rather, he approved of their act.
"If Allah was mentioned, they (companions of Rasulullah) swayed (likes) the way trees sway on a windy day, then their eyes would pour out tears until by Allah,they soaked their clothes.”
(7) Seventh hadith sahih (Muslim in his Sahih and Tirmidhi):
Al-Agharr Abu Muslim narrated that he bears witness, from Abu Hurayrah and Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri, that they bore witness, from Rasulillah (saaws) that he said:
“There is no group of people that remembers Allah (SWT), except that the angels encompass them, mercy covers them, and tranquility descends upon them; and Allah (SWT) makes mention of them before those who are with Him.”
(7) 7-th hadith sahih [[Muslim in his Sahih and Tirmidhi]:

(5)From Muawiyah ra. that Rasulullah asked in a group of meeting:
"What this gathering for?" They replied: "We gathered to do dhikr for Allah's guidance and hidayah" Then he asked: "Is it true that all of you gathered just for this?" They replied: "Yes, we had this gathering nothing more than dhikr to remember Him, Rasulullah". He said: "I came here not to correct you, but want to inform you: Jibrail told me good news that Allah had sent angels down to join dhikr with you all in this meeting"

(the freed slave of Ibn ‘Abbas) Ibn ‘Abbas told me, “In the lifetime of the Prophet it was the custom to celebrate Allah’s praises aloud after the compulsory congregational prayers.” Ibn ‘Abbas further said, “When I heard the Dhikr, I would learn that the compulsory congregational prayer had ended.”

Ibn ‘Abbas reported: Dhikr in a loud voice after obligatory prayers was (a common practice) during the lifetime of the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) ; and when I heard that I came to knew that they (the people) had finished the prayer.

Firstly, not all bida'ah are haram according to syara'. In fact, there is one hadith telling that Prophet Muhammad s.a.w was not give bad response and so happy when he noticed a group muslim doing zikir for Allah and salawat for him.
But there is one hadith, Prophet Muhammad s.a.w was not happy when he saw a group of muslim spent a lot of their time doing gathering to discuss "halal and haram matters" most of the time.

Maybe Sheikh Nazim is a good guy, only Allah knows best, but some of the thigns he says, they certainly go against Islam, such as saying that 'he (Nazim) will take the soul of his Mureed rather than, the Angel of Death, and then he will also answer his questions for him in the grave and on Day of Judgement, he "will not allow" any of his Mureeds to go to hell (even if Allah wants to). I mean theres no guarantee even if Sheikh Nazim will himself go to hell or heaven, only Allah knows.

@coeing1 someone who has KUFR statement is NOT my brother ! and its an obligation on me to warn my brothers and sisters agains these people that are like a sufi, this nazim is far from being a sufi, a real sufi sticks to the Holy Qur'an and the Hadith and the Idjmaa, and not going against it!

@coeing1 (read my other comment before you read this one) and besides if i still call him a 'sheikh' other people might consider him as a real sheikh while not being aware of his kufr statments, so thats why i used the word 'shaytaan' to wake the people up, maybe it sounds extreme and rude, but if you see his statements you will understand the definition of the word EXTREME and RUDE !

(10) Does Islam tatally forbids dancing especially during dhikr? Here is the hadith sahih:
Ja‘far met Rasulullah, kissed his forehead and embraced him (after conquest of Khaybar). Then he said: “I don't know of which of the two things I am the most delighted about; the conquest of Khaybar, or the return of Ja‘far.”Then he said to Ja‘far: “You resemble me in both my manners and physical characteristics." Upon hearing this, Ja‘far danced , and the Prophet did not censure him for his dancing.

(9) Does Islam totally forbids dancing at all in dhikr? Here is the hadith sahih:
Narration of Ahmad in his Musnad, and al-Maqdisi with sound narrators from the hadith of Anas that said: “Once, the Abyssinians were dancing in front Rasulullah, saying in their language: ‘Muhammad is a righteous servant.’He said: “What are they saying?” It was said: “[They are saying] Muhammad is a righteous servant.” When he saw them in that state, he did not censure them. Rather, he approved of their act.

(6) 6-th hadith sahih from Bukhari & Muslim:
Narrated from Abu Hurayrah or Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri that Rasululah (saw) said: “Allah (SWT) has angels that go throughout the earth in addition to the angels that write the deeds of the people (kuttab). So when they find a group of people doing dhikr of Allah (SWT), they call to one another: “Come to that which you have been seeking! They will come and cover them up to the lowest heaven…”

"What this gathering for?" They replied: "We gathered to do dhikr for Allah's guidance and hidayah" Then he asked: "Is it true that all of you gathered just for this?" They replied: "Yes, we had this gathering nothing more than dhikr to remember Him, Rasulullah". He said: "I came here not to correct you, but want to inform you: Jibrail told me good news that Allah had sent angels down to join dhikr with you all in this meeting"

Ibn Majah, and Bayhaqi narrated from Abu Hurayra (Allah be pleased with him) that Rasulullah (peace be upon him) said,
“Allah says, ‘I am as My servant thinks of Me, and I am with him when he makes remembrance (dhikr) of Me. If he makes remembrance of Me to himself, I make remembrance of him to Myself. If he makes remembrance of Me in a gathering, I make remembrance of him in a gathering better than it."

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Apostle (peace be upon him) as saying Allah has mobile of angels, who have no other work except to follow assemblies of Dhikr and when they find such assemblies in which there is Dhikr, they sit in them and some of them surround the others with their wings till the space between them and the sky of the world is fully covered, they go upward to the heaven after dhikr assembly is adjourned...

(1) Sahih Muslim
Book 4, Hadith Number 1211:
Ibn ‘Abbas reported: Dhikr in a loud voice after obligatory prayers was (a common practice) during the lifetime of the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) ; and when I heard that I came to knew that they (the people) had finished the prayer.

assalamu 'alaykum. muslims, life is simple. we are created to worship Allahu ta'ala. salat is one of the ways to wprship Him, but so is dhikr. That is in in the Qur'an. Would you rather busy yourself watching a TV show or a football game than saying la ilaha illa Allah? this is no brainer. if you want to do dhikr, swim in it!!! the only bid'a that you should e wary of is not glorifying Allahu ta'ala. may we all be pleasing to Allahu ta'ala and help each other become beautiful muslims. amin.

I am asking this because we all know that the prophet(p.b.u.h) warned as against innovations. can you help me out? We all need to make sure its ok to do it before we actually do it.

Proof from Al-Quran shows Allah loves a person to get intact & join with those who remember Him (zikr).
[Surah Al-Kahf , Verse 28]:
"And endure thy self in the company of those who call upon their Lord in the morning and evening seeking His and let not thine eyes countenance rove from them seeking the adornment of the life of this world, and obey thou not him whose heart We have made to neglect Our remembrance, and who followeth his lust, and whose affair is exceeding the bound. "

Firstly, not all bida'ah are haram according to syara'. In fact, there is one hadith telling that Prophet Muhammad s.a.w was not give bad response and so happy when he noticed a group muslim doing zikir for Allah and salawat for him.
But there is one hadith, Prophet Muhammad s.a.w was not happy when he saw a group of muslim spent a lot of their time doing gathering to discuss "halal and haram matters" most of the time.
I will bring hadith sahih for this anyway

i give you two scenarios, which one is preferred in sight of ALLAH S.WT:
(A) Human gathering for music concerts,
OR,
(B) Human gathering for remembrance of Allah and our greatest Prophet Muhammad s.a.w (takbir, tasbih, tahmid, tahlil, salawat, etc)
Which one of scenarios above you think Allah and Prophet Muhammad would accept/choose as the best?

Maybe Sheikh Nazim is a good guy, only Allah knows best, but some of the thigns he says, they certainly go against Islam, such as saying that 'he (Nazim) will take the soul of his Mureed rather than, the Angel of Death, and then he will also answer his questions for him in the grave and on Day of Judgement, he "will not allow" any of his Mureeds to go to hell (even if Allah wants to). I mean theres no guarantee even if Sheikh Nazim will himself go to hell or heaven, only Allah knows.
