No, its different. Because your phone is going over network waves rather than through a router then to a hard wired modem. Just not fast enough. Won't be for a long time. and trust me when that capability is possible... you won't have to ask. the company will DEF make something that big known. Also the UI(as good as I'm sure it is), doesn't look to be as fluid as is should be(compared to iPhone OS), considering the improved hardware.

i prefer touchscreen on small devices yes, over Keyboard maybe because my fingers are too big for those tiny little keyboard buttons on Smartphones.

+ if i would take a keyboard i wouldnt take the Pre but a other smartphone (or a Pixi with better specs) because i HATE SLIDERS, those things always are getting lame after a while (havent got this myself) but many people who had slider phones have it.
