No, soccer is known as FOOTBALL in the "world" cept in the US, and I guess...spain... lol Since for some reason they decided to call it "futbol" which is odd since I don't think ball in spanish is bol and I doubt foot is "fut" in Spanish either

My Spanish teacher had a word for it, but I can't remember what it was now. But it means that they adopted an English word and pronounce it and/or spell it slightly different so that it's relatively easy to tell what it means without having to know Spanish.
