I personally like Yaegar. They are more problem focused and concepts focused. A big plus is their material does NOT expire unlike Rogers. Though I have never used Rogers, I have heard that there are some fees that relate to "resetting" lectures. His lectures look pretty interesting to me but because of the costs and the expiration constraints, I choose Yaegar hands down! Plus, if you have problems, you can speak to directly to the lecturer on their "instructor hotline"! Hope this helps
So, do I have to open my own firm. Are there any black male CPAs who are hired in government or corporations??? What if you don't want to own your own firm?
@blackberryjuice1, Before the CPA certificate is awarded to an individual, most states require that individual to work as an accountant under the guidance of a CPA for a certain period of time (which varies by state). The nature of that experience requirement varies considerably state by state. In cany case, you would NEVER be required to open your own firm.

Thanks for a job well done. This video has inspired me. I'm currently pursuing my CPA. At times the road has been tough but, this video has helped refocus me and put things into perspective. I am determined to presevere and pass! Thanks for the encouragement.
@tuberlxb2012 How long have you been studying for the exams and what study materials are you using? I hear that Roger CPA's review course is excellent but I wanna make sure before I pay $1700 for it.

These are the type of people our country should be relying on to pull us out of the economic mess that plagues us in society today.
