  • Yeah, now Apple is making fun of MobileMe.

  • -Can't say I told you so- Amen to that!

  • peak kla not a good idea

  • I disagree he's quite interesting

  • 110$ for one yr realy it's too much

  • nerd

  • @brunobmon he why did you take a look at this video?

  • Hi guys..

i ve paid for all the features however cant sync the idisk for some reason,, it shows 40gb free space on mobileme but on iweb shows no idisk space to upload the webpage on boughted from godaddy.. any suggestions ??

  • I have it, and it is TOTALLY worth the money! No matter what OS you're on! Go get it! :D

  • Windows 7, Windows Mobile 7, Microsoft Outlook 2010 & Windows Live Mesh.

    Yeah, that's a lot better.

  • MobileMe would be a lot cooler if it updated your RRS subscriptions.

that will make me sign up.

  • MobileMe has a lot of bugs with Snow Leopard. I had so many problems that I reinstalled Leopard.

  • Your possibly the most annoying man on the internet. Congratulations.

  • @DimentionX Are you serious? How dare you? Someone wants to upload a youtube video ... Is that really something you can judge? If he's so annoying change the page and leave. You know what? You're probably one of those fat, computer freaks that never leave their computer chairs. Your bin is probably full of used tissues... You constantly sweat like a pig and eat crap all day? Just watch Gamer if you want a real picture. Allow people their creative right. If you don't like it then don't watch it.

  • @DimentionX as much as you want to insult someone that you searched out and clicked and sat there and watched, there are much much more annoying people on the internet than him. e.g. you, just click a different link, move on and get a freakin life. lol.

  • @DimentionX You're*

  • Live Mesh+Live Sync+Gmail+Google Calendar+Skydrive = Mobileme. And all for free!!!

  • @litteraround LOL and all over the place... MobileMe is just a service that localises everything you need in the one place. It does cost a little bit but for peace of mind, why not? It saves having multiple accounts for multiple prgrams... One account, one password & one service!

  • i think they should have took thier time and came up with iphone 3gs years ago! however still sonyerricson makes a phone with 8mp camera and still apple comes up with 3.2mpix .. thats not acceptable!!! dont get me wrong i have iphone 3gs 32gb.. am i happy yes.. but i am disappointed for two reason.. a. camera 3.2mp .. mmmm not good..

  • megapixels don't really mean much.

  • over all, waste of money! i would prefer to put my trust with bigger companies like google and microsoft than apple, that took them some times to bring up mms on thier phones.. omg i could buy a mobile phone for $49 in australia on prepaid and would do simple task like mms and guess what, motorola k9 which its worth roughly $99 AUD does sms, mms and email so go figure who you can really trust when comes to real technology..

  • I bet you the reason why MMS wasn't available was because at&t didn't want to support it, even though they have it for there other phones.

  • also microsoft mesh is free therefore i dont see why would anyone would want to pay for mobileme account?! also i have to add first considering mobileme can track your lost iphone, did get my attention but after reading on their site, i was disappointed as still its not even complete package, that even if someone pinch my iphone, i can wipe my data but still they get to keep my phone?! omg how bad is that?! it can not kill my iphone or lock it for good?! so useless again

  • b. google is offering share docs, calendar, contact for free via gmail for businesses for free which you get on standard package 7gb per email account and for paid account you only pay $50 per year. so still its cheaper and it does use webmail, pop3 and imap for email therefore you can sync all your devices together, as calendar goes you can use ms exchange setting on your iphone, google sync as app on your computer to sync your calendar.

  • ok, i have been through, Live Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo!, Zenbe, and now MobileMe, i dont have an iphone but i still think that MobileMe is the best by far. it's an easy to use seamless experience, and if you know apple, its beautiful. i now find myself wanting an iphone

  • what a prototype nerd,..

  • live emsh its nice.

    ive just download it

  • i used iCards

  • like active directory?

  • Hey can you make video showing how can make web site on this program and how you can post quicktime videos because that would be very helpful.

  • chris owns :P

  • I was wondering what ever happened to Lloyd Lindsay Young.

  • well ia guess point dexter rally likes apple´s mobileme, i have the iphone and live mesh works fine with it an my desktop, notebook and netbook

  • I began trying Live Mesh yesterday and it's awesome.

  • I love Live Mesh, and Mac and other device versions are coming. That and you can access it from any web browser regardless of platform. Sync is instant, before a video finished uploading from my desktop, my laptop started downloading. Email, contacts, calendars, etc also taken care of by other Live services, and all free. Oh, and you can connect remotely to your desktop at home from a web browser or laptop and interact with the desktop.

  • 35.

    Shh...don't tell anyone.

  • you may think hes queer - but you still watched his video....

  • sister maybe? yeh sometimes he rabbles on and there are more interesting ppl but he is here to help, i got some stuff explain by him or his chat room.

  • queer.

  • I'm pretty sure hes married,

  • Apple's Discussion moderators deleted this comment from an iCards thread, so I'm plastering it all over the Web:

"Everyone, call Apple Customer Relations at this number to complain (I found it was the best # to call after trying several). They say number of complaints matters.:

    800-767-2775 "

    — k2graphics

  • Apple's iCards were simple, they were elegant, and they didn't plaster recipients with advertisements, HTML, and flashing GIFS. Nor did they link people to malware.

I got responses from sending iCards I never got from sending emails... not even emails with pictures. The combination of whimsical images and text in one small, savable JPEG in the iCard message was hard to resist.

    iWant Apple iCards Back!!

  • Nobody used iCards? Don't dis iCards, Chris. There are two petitions online clamoring for their return!!

  • I'm currently testing Live Mesh on my MacBook's Vista partition, and I am very impressed with it. Sure, it's still a bit buggy (it's still in beta), but there is lots of potential. Hopefully, this service remains free, as I can see college students (like me) using it a lot.

  • Chris obviously didn't do his homework. On Live Mesh that is.

Live Mesh is just a tech preview at the moment. Later, Mac AND mobile device support is suppose to officially arrive. So far, it's FREE. That's at least the data synchronization part.

Windows Live, Yahoo!, and Google, already do the other services for free. Apple just likes to milk as much money as they can out of the consumers. MobileMe looks cool, but there's been so many issues with it.

  • well, competition repels me. I don't like apple's intrusive attitude and I don't like to have any more upgrades made into my system. It corrupted my computer, made my previously used softwares practically useless, and I end up throwing money down the drain on useless, upgrades. If you like mobile me, thats fine. You can do whatever you want, but I DON'T have time and the money to reinstall the whole damn software!!!

  • Well that was a waste of my time and Biased towards Apple. I watched this to get more of an insight into Microsoft's Live Mesh, but it appears I already have more of a insight into it than you do. How can you do a video debating and comparing the two services when you dont even have an account with both, you admit you haven't even accessed or used Live Mesh. Pull it together.

  • Oh and Microsoft even plan to support Mac's of the Mesh in time, that information was easily found in some of their earliest promotional material, do your research.

  • You know, i really enjoy your videos, but not this sales crap! Not when mobile me is causing nothing but grief. It's terrible, period!

  • i want .mac back

  • I still have my mac email address! And I will tell you the surprise... but not in public.

  • MobileMe doesn't push from desktop apps... How sad.

  • i haven't gotten my email since friday...

my .mac worked fine for 3 or 4 years.

    thanks for nothing apple

  • I already have a MobileMe account. Can you post a complete video about Live Mesh and its Preview ?

I would be interested in that.

  • I can't wait for this!

  • i get 50g online for free so why would i pay for just 20g with other crap

  • TOO expensive! apple should do this for free, or at the very least offer it for $40 per year then I would sign up

  • When is this service available?

  • Watch it without sound... Hes mad. (:

  • Paying for email? Sounds very stupid...

  • it's a little more then just e-mail. I'd say it's worth the money, consider the cost and the complexity of setting up your own exchange server...

  • its incredible that the guy I replied to has no life

  • then how is it possible for me to be replying to you? think before you reply retard.

  • who says "retard" anymore? so many better words to be used.

  • you're new to the net aren't you?

  • lol

  • Who the heck is going to upload 20GB of files onto the net?

You know how long that would take?

  • At work we have a fiber drop that would do it in about 30min.

  • BlackBerry FTW!

  • its been a while since ive watched your vids, great vid :-)

  • and you dont?

  • hi i have a problem with my xp laptop everytime i start it up my screensaver loads then disappers before the welcome screen and then when my screensaver loads my desktop icons take ages to come on the screen

  • wonder how much he's getting paid for pushing it~

  • look at him at 2:13. thats funny. YOU ROCK CHRIS

  • Chris is just your typical example of person whose balls have been harnessed by Apple's marketing campaigns.

Honestly, he hails almost everything "Apple" as the best things since sliced bread.

    Quite sad really.

  • Maybe because Apple actually makes good stuff. I`m not an Apple entusiast, i have always used Windows, but i`m trying something that people like you should. Be open. Realise that what you think is good, might be suckfest for someone else. And vice versa. It`s called taste, and we ALL have different taste.

  • Yeah. It will be good to have. I don't want it though, not until I own a Mac that is.

  • biggest waste of money...ever.

    geeze.

  • wow... who pays for EMAIL?

  • Did u know you put out 1.8 videos a day.

  • yes i am one of those windows users that have an iphone. and i cant wait for mobile me. i hear about it at the key note

  • yes pwease.

  • hasn't google already been doing most of this for free for a quite a long time?

  • not an automatic sync and they dont support much and its diffcult

  • Yahoo! and Windows Live too. I can't believe people just want to pay for the extra look and how it directly goes to iPhone.

  • Chris Talks about tech in general. Apple is becoming more prevalent, and relevant in Tech, today. He is most likely receiving more and more emails having to do with Apple and their products, therefore, to meet demand has to make more Apple related videos. He has said before he isn't a fanboy for Microsoft or Apple. He likes a good PRODUCT, not the company who produces it.

  • Yeah, and 90% of the time it is an Apple product.

    Wow, what a coincidence!

  • Apple is in the Titles of 8.9% of the videos Chris has made. Windows, 12.6% of the videos. Hmm weird, My data doesn't match yours.

  • Hmm weird. Fake stats are fake.

  • I'm glad you are admitting your faults.

  • No, sorry, I was quoting you, thus talking about you.

    Damn 13 year old.

  • what's wrong with 13 year olds, 8 year old?

  • The fact that they come up with extremely lame comebacks, like you just did.

  • Do you remember when we had to pay for AOL that was so crazy.

  • omg ponzie is your wife :0 i didn't know :D HAhaha sry

  • I personally think PAYING for E-MAIL is just stupid

  • Its not email... its push technology that keeps all of your devices up to date. The email is just a bonus! :D

  • Yeah I guess you bring up a good point there :)

  • its not just paying for email, there's allot more included in .mac

  • thats the most ridiculous arguement for that expensive crap ive ever heard

  • expensive???

  • has anybody ever told you that you look like JJ Abrahms?

  • well let's wait a few years or month and google will offer this sync feature for free...i think it's cool for iphone user but that's it

  • If you're apart of the live mesh tech preview you'll see that they have a filler graphic that shows "Your Mac." You should be able to synchronize with your mac down the road too...I think that can already be done with Microsoft's Folder Share though.

  • why? why can you just buy an external drive and its alot more than 20 gb for less than the price

  • i wonder this guy ever goes out to movie or cool places with his wife. life is so much more than diss box.

  • Can I ask someone - What happens say in a year you dont re-subscribe or the "cloud" disappears what happens to the data or syncing data? Would in theory all my devices sync blank? I know it would be on my "host" but what happens to everything else - I have a Windows Desktop, Mac Pro and an I-phone

  • nothing will disappear, the only thing is that the mobile me luxuries would disappear if you didn't renew.

  • LOL, when I watched the Keynote myself, I thought, "Wow, this new MobileMe really caters to Chris Pirillo's web fixation!" LOL, good video.

  • there are free space out there, just look around.

  • ummm never heard of it...thanks for the info :)

  • Chris isnt as fun while talking anymore.......

  • I am on .Mac, and I'm getting Mobile me, but I still say it's not quite worth $99 (or €99 which is what I pay). It's worth €49, that would be fair.

  • $99 is less than €99

  • Well done. It's not less than €49 though. Good service, worth $49.

  • Nobody said it was, and if consumers set prices, ouch..

  • I did. You must have walked into a poll, ouch!

  • In that case you sir, are utterly stupid. Nevertheless, I wouldn't wish to carry this on with a person who has a username such as yours. Fail.

  • You wouldn't say that to my face, I'd knock you to the ground.

  • Oh my god. I'll just cry now. Do something useful and eat some cow dung pls <3

  • You rock!

  • So do you hun =)

  • At double your age, you my hun.

  • At you have no clue of my age, you're still wrong.

  • 5 m in the title o.o

  • iTunes currently synchronizes my mail accounts, contacts, calender, music and video between my MAC and my iPhone.

And Time Machine backs it all up to an external storage disk.

  • Chris, Your centralizing the information. Not decentralizing.

  • You could also order a pizza. :)

  • they switched it, its 69.99 per person now...

  • nvm, i was wrong... 99.99

  • Ha!

  • its cheaper than getting a home server and its easier i wouldnt go with the microsoft version

the way i "run my data around is emailing myself passwords

and a 100 gig exteranl.. and cds and memory cards

but for mac pages docs to pc word docs i copy the text as the body of the email

  • no programes work with freakin macs, PC FTW!

  • all chris does is advertise apple products

    the MUST be paying him

  • na apple doesn't even pay the people who use macs in movies and on tv there just that awesome!

  • but in most cases they use a pear instead of an apple well i think thats the case

  • What makes you so sure? I remember reading a few articles about Apple's clever marketing tactics before.

  • chris is not advertising apple look at his MBP hes covered up the apple logo

  • haha yeah!!!

    good one arranmc182

  • As for domains, could you not just have your domain forward your email to the .mac one?

  • it's definatelly not expensive.100$ for a single person or 150$ for a family pack can not be considered as an expensive product(per year)...It is definatelly worth it,imo.

  • Chris, you are paid by Apple and pretty obvious. I like apple products to, but you are pushing some apple product every day,.

  • anton100100100, I think he is unbiased and favours the best...

  • haha i wonder wheter apple really pays anyone... i mean in EVERY tech blog or vblog you are blown away by the flood of apple products, just visit gizmodo or endgadget, is more interesting to talk about apple than PCs imho

  • I think it sounds like a good idea for people who have different computers like at the office and at home

  • thanks

  • does the iphone (or the new one for that matter) support IMAP mail?

  • Yes.

I use IMAP with Gmail on my iPod Touch now, and it's basically the same software :)

  • good to know

I was *considering* getting an iphone since they'll be selling me in my country "really soon", but I'm not entirely convinced about this mobile me thing, so my other option would have been IMAP access for my domain email address, and my options were pretty much either an iphone or an htc diamond... but after seeing the price of the htc, the ipohne sounds way more attractive, lol

  • i can't wait to get mobileme. it would make my life SOO much easier!

  • I'd buy it if the email client supported threaded conversations. That's the only thing keeping my tethered to Gmail, along with the EXCELLENT spam filter.

  • yea nothing like good old mac

  • what in the hell do you get by saying first!!!!!

  • A reward from me!!! :D

  • haha nothing its just fun though going to youtube and noticing thata new video has just been uploaded and trying to be the first to comment its fun.... but im sorry if i offended anyone although i dont know how i could by saying first :)

  • Nothing, and you certainly don't get your lost life back.
