However, outsourcing jobs that can be done here to India becuase they labour is cheaper is creating unemployment here at home.

People need to face the facts: this is more and more a postindustrial world. Globalization is a GOOD thing overall. There's no such thing as a free lunch. If you want more prosperity, you're gonna have to accept some outsourcing, I'm afraid. If you want less prosperity and stagnation, fine. Tack on more tariffs and other protections. There's no such thing as "offshoring profits." The companies are STILL headquartered in the U.S. and still very much American companies. Who cares if they ship SOME of their productions overseas?
