He is also speaking out against US foreign policy that considers murder as a practical means to achieve our goals in the world. Lots of great, insightful and pro-peace lines in this song! But they perfected those tactics overseas before being able to do it so unnoticed to a populace that can reach them. It's been a long history of colonial control slowly turning to economic control. I hope that doesn't sound like I'm saying your service and the lives lost were in vain, but maybe killing the people angry at us isn't the answer. We need to fix us.
