I just finished the game after 34 hours of game play LOL. I bought Mafia 2 and I'm waiting for it to come in the mail. I know that Godfather 2 is a better game then Mafia 2 in regards to game play and being a bit more open persay.

@deanomac24 Mafia 2 is HEAVILY story based and it's very linear. But the story alone is worth a play, but don't expect a GTA clone AT ALL. With that said, have a blast and just be prepared for anything without much prior information and be very open minded.

I think the first one was slightly better, it felt difficult, I was constantly under attack, trying to knock out an enemy factory. Halfway into this game I could mow down everything, I think the first third of this game was amazing, and the rest was average, 7/10 overall.

@TheAllKnowing113 Those bad reviews that Godfather 2 got are a load of bullshit. I was worried it wouldn't be as good as the first after seeing those reviews but try the game out because you get to be the Don right away when you start the game and you get to go to 3 cities. Also you can always have crew members to help you fight and also the map is the Don's view which is cooler too. Better than Mafia 2 and the game has so much shooting. You don't even have to play the first to enjoy it.

i feel disapointed at the fact that it has been modinised, it is more like GTA due to the cars and up to date clothes...the idea of the godfather is that it is set in the 1930's and its a mafia...the godfather one had it right with the clothes, cars and the story. they should have just elaborated on that and improved instead of making it modern. in my opinion the godfather one is much better.

Godfather 1 you would kind of need to play before playing the Godfather 2. The Godfather 1 was a brilliant game. So 1940s. On the other hand Godfather 2 has the good hot feeling in miami in cuba and that wet feeling in New york.

@TarsalMonkeyboy in godfather 1 you do have a family but you are not the leader of the family but in godfather 2 you are the leader and you tell your family what you want them to do if you want to know the the story then get the first godfather before you get the second but if you dont really care about the story then get the second one because it is so much better than the first in every way

Godfather movies best to worst- 2,1,3, Second movie- filled to the brim with aspects of The Life (the life of organized crime) and bad-ass killing, First movie- just as good as the second but with less violence, Third movie- DON'T EVEN GO THERE, IT SUCKS, ALL FILLED WITH THAT RELIGION CATHOLIC CRAP!!!

Godfather 2 has a huge element of strategy.You have to build up your family the best you can, attack certain rackets to complete chains, and guard what you have. It's a lot of fun, and even when you beat it there's still a lot to do, and a whole lot of replay value

i have both and i think that my main complaint with 2, is that.... 1 was better!

they didnt really seem to build on some of the excellent parts they had... and there's a lot of sandbox games out there for inspiration, it's not like they're making this up for the first time.

for instance... new york... was ridiculously tiny!

I got this about two days ago, it's a great game with alot of customisation and variety but it's just to short. I recommend whacking (to kill in mafia speak) every enemy family memeber which is a game in it's self and don't take to many territories so you always have other gangs to contest with!

Than u probly haven't played GTA 4. Because all my friends who own GTA 4 that gave Godfather 2 a shot agreed GTA 4 is a far superior game. I've only played the Godfather 2 for about 30 minutes and it just feels awfully after playing GTA. the controls on foot are really annoying and slow, and i hate driving cars in this game; the driving feels the same because it is so stiff. and i expect to get a -6 or whatever for this comment but im just being honest

Rockstar pwns EA's ass! The reason is that Rockstar takes their time to perect almost every little detail. EA makes like 5 games a year and takes little to no time to make it look realistic.
