I am so glad that *someone* thought to preserve the 70's Tull at their peak. I've tried over the years to find great footage like this to vindicate my memory of how enthusiastic they were - how much they moved! And how elegantly. Had I just exaggerated it in my mind? No! These YT videos are proving my memory correct. If only Anderson would understand now how important the spectacle was for shows back then and realease some DVDs of that era.
@wardka . . .Because the latter day Tull videos, however good, seem to be more "The Spectacle Who Lost His Hair." They can't be expected to move like this any more. Like many of us, their fans too!
This is great. I saw the War Child Tour in Fresno. Best show I've seen in my life. I've seen Tull twice since then. One of my all time favorites. I'd love to see more War Child footage.
This is a real treat for me, who only saw and loved Tull when it was this lineup - especially featuring Jeffery Hammond on bass. Why oh Why won't Ian Anderson release a dvd or cd or even some pictures from the great Thick As A Brick tour of 1972? I've seen and heard the edited versions of 1976 and 1978, but they were without Hammond, and the edit just doesn't do the song any justice. It was Tull's greatest work ever and deserves to be out there!
Well, this is pretty much priceless, to me anyway, and probably to most bothering to watch. Saw this, the WarChild tour both nights in Chicago, the second in third row center bought at the box office minutes before the show which had been sold out pretty much as soon as it went onsale. In the past there were sometimes great seats available all of a sudden for long sold out shows, probably still true.
How cool is that! I love Jeffrey Hammond jumping like rabbit! Oh sorry, I meant zebra! ;-) Is that a 1975 footage you mentioned, Nick? From which concert it comes?
nice! Between Paris and MSG how much footage from 1975 is there? Enough to recreate a concert? Like how people recreated the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway show for Genesis?
yeah..Genesis I can do, I synced some songs from the Shrine in LA to the Bern footage but I'm not as comfortable with Jethro Tull's catalog to sync a whole show. If you could indicate which songs start at which time on the video then maybe I could do it but it would be a big commitment so I'd have to think about it.

WOW!! You did some job on this. It is like watching a professional concert film (with only 1 cam of course).

I love it too. This is only two minutes of 50 minutes of rare 75 footage I have. All of its different too.
Madison square gardens, houston texas, paris, etc.
The audio I'm using is from my favorite show in july 1975.
Thanks for watching!! Nick

I have an hour of footage. Enough to get about 75% of a full concert..
underwwraps2 3 years ago
you should make a DVD of this. This is historic and has never been done before
Tommygun1028 3 years ago
I got all of the silent footage on DVD, I can make you a copy if you want...
underwwraps2 3 years ago
Thank you for the offer but I'm curious in that you can't rip it to DVD with the audio?
Tommygun1028 3 years ago
I only did some parts of the concert with audio, I could put my syncs with audio and put the silent footage (50min)on there as well.
There is the minstrel in the gallery from paris 75 pro shot, (8 Min) on thhe beginning, it was horrible quality, I remastered it.
JUst tell me what you think!
Thanks!!
underwwraps2 3 years ago
Hmmm. You can't do a complete concert, but you can do about 3 or 4 songs. There's a lot of Locomotive Breath. There's some Queen & Country too.
