I'm desparately looking a 63 1/2 to 65 galaxie to buy, its my dream car, i know its not typical but they are great cars and this one is a great example of that. If anyone knows of any for sale at reasonable price please email me @ jeffhenderson@renulife.org. I live in NC but will travel great links for the right galaxie. thanks and thanks for showing the beautiful car.
oh man! im about to get one just like this but in white and rust lol, i wanna restore it so bad. its condition isnt the greatest. any advice? any websites for parts you used? any help for anything would be great. this is literally the same car im about to get
@coraliscopuselaborat I purchased just about everything for my car from ebay. I also bought a couple of parts cars from local junk yards (hard to find). The best advise I could give is try to find a car that is restored or close to it already. Of course at a reasonable price. Makes me sick sometimes to watch those car auction shows and seeing how cheap some of those cars sell for knowing how much work and money I put into mine.. They are fun though.
I wouldn`t change anything in your car. It`s just perfect !! Whoever did the paintwork and the bodywork did an awesome job. I`ve shown this video to some friends here in Brazil , they got awed ! congrats , no words to describe your car ...
@twingats017 Thanx, I still have a lot I want to do to it and the exhaust is at the top of my list..All my time and funds have been going into my 67 chevelle project and my poor ford has been neglected.
@jeffbht I don't wanna sound like i'm braggin but that is what I feel. I work at a hotrod shop and I see stuff like that all the time haha. Our shop has been featured in Streetrodder Magazine
I just picked up a 65 Galaxie after restoring several Mustangs, etc. I decided to do something different, and after watching this video I am very pleased with how it can look. I hope to have a similar stance as you do.
@jeffbht Do you happen to have some pics or details of what all you did? I seriously want to make mine look similar to that and could use a guide to go from.
@bossnine I have several pics that I never uploaded.. My dad did all the body work, we took every emblem and molding off, and added paint and wheels..It had are ready been lowered.. I bought 2 parts cars for the project that we used doors, full quarter, and several other parts.. Unlike my chevelle or your mustang they don't make many after market parts for the 65 at all.. I can put some pics on facebook.
@jeffbht I hope to uploading a video soon of mine, but the body is pretty straight so I'm hoping to not have to worry about needing replacement parts there. It sits as high as a 4X4 though right now.
i had on of these in high school, and i loved the heck out of it,i wish i could find another 65.mine wasnt completely original i had a 302 out of a 71 mustang in it
@znation1987 I never see these cars. I have only seen one at all the car shows I go to. I have two parts cars I bought from junkyards and they where hard to find.. love my 65
I allways been a fan of Old Chevy's, and Old Oldsmo's, but about 5 years ago I jumped into the Old Ford game and got me a 65' Ford Galaxie Blue and I like the body style of it a lot more and it changed me around to admitting the galaxies have one of the most best body styles period!
I didn't have any parts dipped, I had 2 other 65 Galaxies I purchased for parts cars and used the best trim out of the three. The bumpers are the originals that came with the car. I had to use a door, fender, and a full quarter from my parts cars. I bought 1 of the parts cars at a junkyard and the other off ebay. I purchased the tail lights and grille on ebay also. Have fun with your Ford
Very nice, I like how smooth the car is without the emblems. I have a '65 as well though mine is far from finished. I've gotten as far as painting the road with black marks now i just have to paint the car.
Thanks.. Wish I had a 62-64 galaxie, thats my favorite body style..This was the first car I owned, and I sold it to a friend of mine who promised if he ever sold it I would get first bid, so a little over ten years later I got it back cheaper and restored it..Won't let go of it again..
very nice looking car & the sound of that V8 idling is great!

@bossnine Yea and if I'm not mistaken the front sets up higher than the back. Lowering the car will give it a totally different look.
