@wandererlain And at least it had nude scenes. I think if I had one bit to remember this entire movie by, it would be the saucy dancer babe zapping that sadistic old overlord with his own toys. That scene was 75% of the movie for me. >:)
@wandererlain It was back in 5/9. I read up on the babe who played that dancer. It turns out that she posed in Penthouse and Hustler, and she made Penthouse's Pet of the Month in May 1977.
So she probably wasn't much of an actress. But then, no one else in this movie was a master thespian either. This movie could have been nothing but her killing the old bastard, then running around naked and killing all the goons and Evil Blond Guy for two hours. 200% better, and an instant cult classic.
Not often do you get to see full bush in these movies. I actually like the last duel scene, plastic swords or no.
Even the soundtrack sounds interesting when it gets jazzy.
I'm just wondering where and what this "fuel factory" was that they ran around through and blew up. It was definitely a former military installation. If you notice the firing slits. It kinda reminded me of some of the WWII fortifications for the defense of San Francisco featured in Cities of the Underworld.
@pinz2022 Well, I just checked Deathsport's Trivia section on IMDb. The mutant caves were the Bronson Caves in Bronson Canyon, and the second nude dance scene (with Valerie Rae Clark getting sexy) was shot in a jam and jelly factory somewhere, which makes me wonder where the first nude "dance" scene (with Claudia Jennings bumbling around) was shot.
I don't see anything about the fuel factory, though. Maybe someone else who knows the place firsthand will fill us in one day.
Hey! Claudia Jennings wasn't dancing but I thought her swanning around, feeling up the light tubes was kinda graceful. When the evil one turns the power on Jennings did a more convincing job than Valerie of acting pained and terrified.
Like I said earlier, there was a History Channel episode of "Cities of the Underworld" where Don Wildmon was being shown around some of the little-known WWII defensive fortifications around SF or LA that looked a lot like the "fuel factory".
The ending, the only good part of this movie! Hard to believe I liked this as a kid. @ r8408n, Hawk the Slayer & Mega Force were masterpieces compared to this horrible film. This one is may be more comparable to Laser Blast. I'm sure this may have been fun to make, partying out in the desert between shoots, exploring rocks & caves, but truly I can't believe Carradine & Lynch took part in this crap movie.
Finally! I just found out why Richard Lynch looks so weird. I checked his IMDB bio.
"In 1967 after taking LSD (acid), he set himself on fire in Central Park behind the Metropolitan Museum of Art near Cleopatra's Needle. After recuperation, he bravely and candidly spoke about it in an anti-drug documentary."
I still think it was a great duel scene, plastic swords or no.
I guess this was like a mixture between Hawk the Slayer and Mega Force, not exactly how I remembered it. By the way the death machines sound like a fart when they pass by, great post bro, keep'em comin.
New World Productions! wow they might given hint to people in 1978 what will happen in 2000
or it might given them the want to feel the 2000 like this poor people we will never learn

What a load of wank. Inane dialogue, stupid sound effects, boring chase scenes. At least it was funny in places.

I remember this movie. Watched it when I was 9 or 10. I remember, vividly, my sister walking in as the bad guy's head got chopped off.

Geez, I remmeber this show when it showed up on tv when I was 8. Like the early 80's. Kind of cool. Fly well David Carradine. You will be missed.
