That's how I bought it. The only work it needed was the body, I don't like having a Chevy engine in it either but I wasn't about to spend the money to replace a perfectly good engine. It seems people like to put the Chevy engine in the Ford. I also have a 1950 with a 350 Chevy motor ??? I don't get it ???
Im not to keen on transplanted motors either. if you have a dodge put a dodge motor in it a chevy put a chevy ford put anything you want lol. If i was the guy you bought it from I would have put a 440 in it :)
I know, makes no sense. I especially find it strang that I have 2 fords with chevy engines. I like the 440, my dad has an old ford with a 440. But think the 400 shifts a little smoother.
