  • I am 27 Years old....And my Grandpa bought me Buddy's Greatest Hit's on CD When i was 13....And all i can say is that he had an immpact on me as soon as i heard the first song.......No one....And i mean NO ONE.....Could ever hold a candle to Buddy Holly And His Cricket's...Todays music Sucks...And Always will.

  • @RutgerHauerRules started it all??? :-0

  • This takes me back, and I'm only 24. You never hear 50s and 60s on the radio anymore. The "Oldies" stations are all 70s and 80s now. This was a favorite of mine when I was much younger. Timeless songs like this never die.

  • @RutgerHauerRules Buddy Holly is amazing! What a loss, it really is too bad he didn't get to enjoy it. I can't stop listening! <3

  • i'm 15 girl and i can't stop listetning his songs

  • @RutgerHauerRules started what what do you mean

  • gary bussey did a great portrayal of buddy holly inthe buddy holly story

  • I hate:

    Drugs (Elvis)

    Mark David Chapman (John Lennon)

    Cancer (George Harrison)

    and

    Airplanes (Buddy Holly)

WHY DO THE GREAT DIE YOUNG!!!!!!

  • @ILoveGeorgeandDhani elvis didn't die of drugs he die cuz he couldn't take a dump.he had over 7 pounds is poop inside of him.

  • glee should have nothing to do with buddy holly! glee turns music to shit!

  • @thedude6336 Brother, you and I have the same ground.

  • One of my favorite songs by Buddy, i was blasting this earlier on the record player.

  • Tony Soprano sings it better

  • @JustBeCooler

No one does it better than Buddy. no one.

  • Like this if American Dad made you come here.

  • i'm 31 and i love this shit.... :)

  • Note to self: punch the nearest Glee fan if they cover Buddy Holly.

  • @6arcsn1sky you can't stop music with violence, even if you don't like it

  • @one1950smovie True, but Glee's materials aren't my liking.

  • @6arcsn1sky lol, yeh

  • The one who first rocked the raybands.....

  • *as Roger from American Dad*: "Maybe, baby"

  • @TheGrungeGamer2 American dad and family guy keeps the past alive by mentioning pop culture from the past.

  • @TheGrungeGamer2 Maybe, baby..

  • I'm 64 and this was the very first record (45) I ever bought. It cost .99 cents, I believe.(which is a lot, come to think of it.. Maybe I'm wrong?) And I think the year was '57 or '58. (???) I was about 10 yrs old.

  • If Elvis King of Rock & Roll, Buddy Holly GOD of Rock & Roll !!!

  • i'm 37 and this music rocks...elvis who???this guy is the king period!!!

  • there's no doubt anymore, i born in the wrong generation.

  • I was a junior in high school the day the music died. I remember to this day sitting on my front porch in Phoenix and crying. I have all his recordings. There was a great boxed set that came out a couple of years ago, with his very early recordings, including out takes. Very worth while investment. At Amazon, it's called "Not Fade Away: Complete Studio Recordings & More [Box Set]".

  • I'm 57 and my oldest memory is of my sisters birthday party (I was 5 yrs old) and hearing this song playing on her record player.I remember walking over and looking at the purple labled Brunswick labled 45 spinning round and how I LOVED what my young ears were hearing. My sis had to correct me on the lyrics though when she saw my parents and her girlfriends

laughing at me while I sang along with the record with what I thought was "Nakee Baby" but hey,I was only 5!!

  • american graffiti <3

  • @ancientpatrician You add a certain unmistakeable, unmasked class to the forum - not dipping into the vulgar is a tribute both to your upbringing and your native intelligence - nice job!

  • @19chiefs57 Why thank you, kind Sir!

  • @ancientpatrician Non sequitur. Moreover, failing to lace your reply with obscenities casts doubt it is actually from you.

  • @19chiefs57 You nosy little bastard. You fucking enjoy your weekend.

  • i'm 64 and this huge talent and his great songs never get old to me. i love driving up to a place with his music blowing out of my speakers. young people just look at me like hey old man what is that music? they will never understand, now will they?

  • @TheLadandLass I'm a 15 year old girl who introduced my mother to Buddy Holly. Looks like the tables have turned!

  • @TheLadandLass don't feel bad the music they like has no melody therefore they can't hear it the way you and i do

  • @TheLadandLass Hey, I'm 15 - and I certainly know all about this music! One of my favorite artists.

  • @TheLadandLass I do!!! I can't listen to much after the 1970's and I'm 14

  • @TheLadandLass I have listened to this my whole life! Back in the 90s when I was a little kid, i was listening to Doo wop, Buddy Holly, and Elvis while everyone else listened to crap. These songs are the soundtrack to my life and i wouldn't have it any other way. I only have appreciation for a great artist like Buddy, unlike the rest of my generation, and It's a shame that oldies stations don't play this kind of stuff now. Even 60s music is beginning to get obscure. long live Rock and Roll!

  • @TheLadandLass Some of us young people get it. I'm 27 and I grew up listening to Buddy's music. Now when I listen it takes me back to those happy days of my childhood, back when they used to play stuff like this on the radio...

  • @TheLadandLass im 20

  • @TheLadandLass some of us young people understand, I'm 16 and I love this type of music :)

  • @TheLadandLass I'd completely understand. You could drive round my neighbourhood with Buddy's music blasting the whole day! Heck, I'd pay you to do it!

  • @TheLadandLass i don't care what music you're playing, playing it so loud that people can hear it outside your car is just plain rude. I like this music but i have enough respect for other people that i know they might not like it...

  • @TheLadandLass I'm 17 and I would trade all of todays music for Buddy Holly and Frank Sinatra. A lot of people my age don't appreciate real music but some of us do.

  • @TheLadandLass im 17 and i love Buddy :) i work in a radio station and we play nothing but oldies so people like Mr. Buddy Holly are everyday names

  • @oshawaxpress there is not that is his signature look

  • i went to see " the buddy holly story " last year and all it did was open my eyes to one of the best musicians ever!

  • @USgovernmentLies - picture you without talent, a big fat zero
