What makes this scene so powerful to me is Darcia's sobbing at 0:21. It seems so real. It's not "beautiful" anime crying, with glittery, softly-falling tears. It's a messy, full-body expression of grief with tears dripping off his face and a horrid, keening wail that seems almost torn out of his throat. When a person cries really, really hard--so hard they can't even breathe because of it--this is what they sound like. And only true grief can make someone sob like that.

I know they have him scream and beat his head against the wall to show his devestation at the lost of Hamona, and in this scene it's effective, but outside of an anime these gestures would seem melodramatic. But his heartbroken sobbing...that is genuine.
