  • always had issues with ernie balls breaking.

  • That awkward moment when he has the same guitar as you.

  • mine broke

    dont care really

  • Haha I love the G-String ;)

  • here is your g string

  • All I heard was fuck when my friend was putting strings on his guitar

  • thanks so much for the help, got mine done.

  • This really worked! I just did it, Thanks! :)

  • @Msdawnband Moron.

  • @BD0TT Lol, haha that was so random. You're very funny kid.

  • As a veteran muso, I am amazed at how little you guys realy know about waht you are teaching.

You should be checking that the string is properly seated/bedded at the block before you hastily fully tighten the string.

You should also back wrap the string around the tuning peg to prevent slippage, especially on the plain wound strings, E B and G.

And what about the tension release on the neck and across the bridge as you rapidly remove the string?

Where did you guys learn this stuff?

    Cheers,

  • @GraemeGrande Thanks Mr. Muso for your guidance, little did I know I've been incorrectly putting strings on guitars for 20 years. I put these videos up for free to help people, but it never fails that someone out there will try and criticize to show their "expertise" on a subject as mundane as how to "properly" string a guitar. I looked through your channel and couldn't help but notice that you haven't created any how-to videos - maybe you should make one to better inform the public.

  • thank you so much! lol i was having problems doing it and then realized i was putting it in the wrong hole lol x)

  • @XxAllThatRemainsxX13 thats what she said lol XD

  • hehe heres the G string

  • this vid helped me so much thank you

  • /watch?v=WqnUqEIRX2o <<<<<<helpful on restringing

  • how come u dont use Elixir??

  • @acdckiller12 I do use Elixir w/ my ES-335 - just don't like them for a Strat. Honestly the main reason is that I tend to go through strings pretty often and it's more expensive to use Elixir. :)

  • @activemelody but dont they like last forever?

  • @acdckiller12 they do last longer ya - i don't know... i just like putting new strings on often i guess :)

  • @activemelody ohh i see to me it jus feels like a lot of hassle

  • @activemelody I like that answer !

  • i love ernie ball i play with both and they sound awsome.!!!

  • Great, so somehow my string snapped whilst i was putting a new one on, which i don't understand because there was no tension on the string from the fret board, and it just snappped through the tuning peg thing :(

  • i was just playing the bohemian solo and it just snapps

  • Playing with dental floss. Haha

  • errr..here is your G-string :')

  • high e strings suck :/

  • Stringstop is the fastest and easiest way if you change strings often! Check my channel and watch a demonstration please.

  • "it'll just pop out and poke you in the eye or something" lol

  • Way to put "(Solid Body)" at the end of the video, and NOT put strings on a solid body...

  • thank you soooo much :)

  • Thanks a lot. I broke my string. Next time be more specific dumbass

  • Hey guys I'm getting a buzzing noise from my b string when I put it on

  • @THEBUZZARDMAN1 Try messing around with the action, and if that fails then adjust the truss rod.

  • why did you choose the high E string? ): It's almost invicible!

  • I just got finished restringing my fender strat, and it isn't as easy as you made it seem. it took me 45 minutes, but on the bright side I bought the same type of strings u suggested, and I love them!

  • I changed my EG's strings earlier, and I messed up

  • im FUCKING pissed i broke my string tried to fix and the replacements my dad bought me brand new broke too i wont look at my guitar for a week >:((((

  • @activemelody when i put the new strings i have to stretch them in order to wrap them around???

  • On the (e) string, I tried tuning with the electric tuner.

Tried looking for the E, but, couldn't find it.

Causing me to "tune the fuck" out of my guitar.

    (Snap)

  • i put on my string but its higher than all of my other strings..is this ok? i don't mean in sound, but its higher than all my other strings in height.

  • before looking this up like the douche i am i put the strings on but i did it wrong and the thickest string has broke does this mean ive ruined or damaged my guitar

  • my strings don't have a ball

  • does 9 ( 009) gage work as well? on the fender guitar....

  • ugh i screwed up so bad i need to go buy more strings...

  • Well i use 9's for my guitar

  • nice he uses the best strings

  • I actually would recommend Elixir strings. They're usually $25 a pack, but they have anti-rust coat technology built in,usually have 3-5x's longer life than usual guitar strings, and they keep the sleakness/newness forever.(Not literally) I've had the same pair on one of my guitars for about 2 or 3 years now and they still feel new, haven't broke one in anyway (they're strong against playing hard and tuning mistakes) and they are simply amazing.

  • my string broke in half

  • Hey thanks bud, really helped alot :D

  • thanks fix my guitar

  • I detuned can it came undone, but now it won't slip through the bridge and back the other side please help!

  • I detuned the string and it came out from the tuning peg, but now it won't slip through bridge and back through the other side.

  • I have a little problem,

I play Metal and i have to tune my guitar very low,but with 10 gauge strings, they get very losse. So i want to buy 14-68 strings, but i'm afraid that can scrap up my Saddles and my nuts,

    Any one gots advise?

    Thanks.

  • Thank you so much :)

  • how come every time i tune my guitar to any tuning my high e string always breaks thats pissing the hell out of me

  • @Me6adeth01 dont tune it too fast. tune it slowly.

  • i bought these strings and the high E atring broke a minutre later after i put it on

  • at 5:15 you just cut the most intereseting part for me..

  • my g string is too small it keeps riding up way too high can someone help me? lol

  • That strat looks more beautiful than other ones, what kind of model is it (american, special, etc) and what year? Thanks :)

  • @yetiboarder its just a normal one but with graphtech saddles

  • Dude your so amazing you helped my bro out

  • oh my fucking god!!! ive tried putting my string on 7 times and it breaks when i try to tune it up! im only like one tenth of the way there and it snaps!!

  • @kevin12161995 you probably have a ding in your guitar's nut (the piece near the tuning pegs). What you can do is take a really sharp pencil, or mechanical pencil with a small lead, and rub it in the nut's notch. It can reduce the ding, and also the graphite lubricates the nut making the string go on smoothly.

  • I have a Jazzmaster :L

  • lol here is you're G-string :D

  • lol same pack of strings in my hand

  • LOL Here's your G-string

  • what do you do with there's excess string? cut it off?

  • @TotalDistinction yes use any wire cutter but leave like 1 to 2 millimeters so it doesnt slip out

  • @TotalDistinction yep well

i like to keep it that way for about 2 weeks or so just incase the string brakes i can add more string from the little piece left

but after those 2 weeks i cut it

  • Hey..I would really appreciate if any of u would help me out this little problem..every time I tune my guitar down to drop C or to slipknot or maybe even just putting on new strings, my high e string snaps...I find that really weird as i thought they only snapped when tuning up? why does my e string snap when im only loosening the strings? PLEASE HELP! :D

  • i have a question? should you tune the strings on 1 run or tune it a little and go on the next day... cause i'm tuning the E string for ex. and i'm spinning the peg... and the tuner just won't show it's in tune... even if i switch to Drop C it says it's not even close in tune.. but the string is in high tenssion... so... and advice on that ? ^_^

and 1 more : when i tune the 1-3 strings the 6-4 string go out of tune . any way to avoid it?

  • Thanks Man That Helped Me Alot im new to the guitar so its like my first time changing the strings so thanks alot man :D

  • wow this has been really really helpful thanks alot!

  • hey my string broke when i was tunning them and they won't come out can u plaese help me !

  • @NaziZombie131 it won't come out where? on the head (broke off in the tuning peg) or on the bridge? Either way, you should be able to pull it out with needle nose pliers or even tweezers

  • @activemelody you can also pull the little pice thats in there by using the same string you took out of it

  • @NaziZombie131 ROFL you must of tuned the fuck out of that string.

  • @NaziZombie131 lol, That happen to me too.

  • thanks i need to replace that sting! :)

  • is amazing that way that you use to seem it so easy thank

  • @TheWakaka37 - Good point, as for the low E string, you can just run it through once.

  • How do you do the Low E (6th) string? It's too thick for a second time into the peg...

  • Year Ernie BAll are great!

  • @Aisu Tatsuro - yeah.. same here :)

  • "here's your g-string" call me immature but, that made me laugh :)

  • omg so it is normal to get out of tune when you bend it.. i thought my guitar sucks really bad

  • @iJonikz its only normal when you put string not in the right way, like i this video
